About Prelude Prelude is redefining how companies authenticate and onboard users - turning what's traditionally a cost center into a growth lever. Our flagship product lets businesses send OTP codes with the best price-to-conversion ratio on the market, dynamically selecting the most effective channel in real time (optimized SMS, WhatsApp, and more) while actively blocking spam and fraud that legacy providers miss. Founded in 2022 by former Zenly team members who lived the pain of broken SMS authentication firsthand, we're already serving fast-growing companies across Europe and are expanding into the US. But authentication is only the starting point - we're building the platform for trust at scale, with an ambitious roadmap of market-defining products ahead. Why join us Today, we're a team of 60 and growing, based in Paris, building products that power secure and high-performance user onboarding for companies across the world. We believe small, highly skilled teams outperform large, fragmented organizations, and we are intentional about staying focused on impact, quality, and speed. We operate with a flat org structure and value in-person collaboration, which helps ideas move faster, decisions stay grounded, and teams take full ownership of what they build. Our values * Care We care deeply about our customers, our teammates, and the quality and reliability of what we ship. * Bias for Action We move fast, test in the real world, and iterate quickly rather than over-optimizing in theory. * Ownership We take responsibility end to end, from identifying problems to delivering outcomes and learning from results. About the role Internal tooling is not a backlog item at Prelude — it's a strategic lever. As we scale from 50 to a much larger team, the speed at which engineering, ops, sales, support, and finance can operate depends on the tools we put in their hands. You'll own that surface. You'll build the internal tools and AI-powered automation that make every team at Prelude move faster, ship with confidence, and spend their time on the work that actually matters. You'll work directly with internal stakeholders to find friction and turn it into functional, reliable software — and you'll be our edge in AI engineering, evaluating and integrating the tools that define how a modern company operates. Here are some examples of projects : * Interconnect the various internal tools we use (hubspot, linear, plain and more) * Optimize the way we calculate and aggregate our billing * Build flows and use AI to automate our internal processes (invoicing/reporting/support) This is a high-ownership IC role on the Platform team, with direct access to your internal customers from day one. What will you be doing? * Owning the design, development, and maintenance of internal tools used daily across engineering, ops, product, sales, support, and finance * Building agentic AI workflows that automate repetitive internal processes and unlock new capabilities for our teams (fraud review, customer support triage, GTM workflows, ops dashboards, and more) * Working directly with stakeholders across all teams to identify friction and turn it into functional solutions, with feedback loops measured in days, not quarters * Evaluating and integrating the latest AI engineering tools (Claude, Cursor, n8n, Dust, and whatever comes next) and setting the standard for how Prelude leverages them internally * Contributing to our polyglot codebase and collaborating with the broader engineering team on shared infrastructure, schemas, and APIs * Designing and building internal dashboards on top of our data layer (DynamoDB, Clickhouse and Postgres) to give every team visibility into what they need to act on * Participating in on-call rotations for the internal platform you build What are we looking for? * Software engineer with experience shipping in high-paced environments and a track record of finishing what you start * You've shipped automated workflows and AI-powered tools in production (n8n, Dust, custom LLM pipelines, or equivalent), not just prototyped with them * You've built for internal users before and understand that reliability matters more than polish — but that good UX still earns you adoption * Solid backend skills in Go or TypeScript, with the ability to design and build reliable APIs and services * Comfortable working across the stack — React on the frontend when the tool needs a UI, plus the data layer (DynamoDB, SQS, Lambdas) underneath * A preference for simplicity vs complexity, with intuition for what will scale effectively as the company grows * A product-led mindset — you code for outcomes and impact, and you can talk to a non-engineer stakeholder without translating from engineer-speak * Fluent/professional English given our international team Nice to have * Experience with developer experience or platform engineering * Familiarity with fintech, identity, fraud, or another regulated/high-stakes domain * Experience integrating with common SaaS APIs (CRM, billing, support, data warehouse) * Any experience with Rust, gRPC, or AWS serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS) is a plus Tech stack * Primary: Go, TypeScript, React * Codebase and data: Go services, Next.js, gRPC, DynamoDB, SQS, Redshift, Lambdas * AI tooling: LLMs (Claude and others), agent frameworks, Cursor, n8n, Dust, and whatever comes next What can we offer you? * Competitive compensation package with BSPCEs * 3 days in-office in central Paris, with 2 days WFH; and 4 weeks of remote work per year * 100% travel to the office subsidised * Health insurance via Alan * Urban Sports Club gym membership * We will provide you with the gear you need for your role (a laptop and a phone, for on-call rotations) * Swile meal vouchers * Free snacks and drinks in the office * An annual offsite in a great location (last one was at La Pradet!) * The opportunity to build something from 0-1, and make an impact every day Interview process * Meet a member of the Talent team * Technical assessment * In-person interview (system design, coding) * Final meeting with CEO We don't expect you to ace all these stages, we will evaluate your creativity and how you approach difficult problems. You should consider applying even if you don't meet all the criteria.
Join our Movement and Champion Restaurant Culture! 💚 At TheFork we believe that the best things in life happen around the table. As the leading restaurant booking platform in Europe, we connect the broadest community of loyal diners with the world’s favorite restaurants. Powered by innovation and a deep passion for the restaurant industry, we create unique dining experiences across 11 countries. We’re part of the Tripadvisor Group and proud to be building a diverse, people-first culture where “respect”, “ownership”, “growth” and “better together” values thrive. If you’re passionate about food, technology, and making a real impact, your seat at the table is ready. 👉 Discover life at TheFork Hey 👋 I’m Pierre, and I’m building the Growth & GTM engineering team at TheFork. How do you feel about engineering roles where the job is not only to write code, but also to understand why we are building something and how it can create real impact? At TheFork, we help restaurants grow, manage demand, and connect with millions of diners across Europe. That sounds simple. In reality, there is a lot of complexity behind it. Restaurants need to onboard faster. They need to understand the value of our products. They need better data to make better decisions. They need software that reduces friction instead of adding more. Internally, our Sales, Customer Care, and Moderation teams are looking for modern tools and AI that solve real problems, making sure that actual leverage always comes before the trend. That’s where this team comes in. 💚 The Growth & GTM engineering team exists to unlock leverage across B2B growth and operational efficiency. Sometimes that leverage is a product feature. Sometimes it is an internal tool. Sometimes it is a data workflow. Sometimes it is an AI-powered automation, an MCP workflow, or a CLI-based prototype. And sometimes, the best engineering decision is to not build anything until we better understand the problem. This is not a role where engineers only receive tickets and implement them in isolation. I’m looking for an engineer who wants to get close to the business problem, understand the product context, contribute to technical decisions, ship reliable software, and learn from production. Someone who wants to be close to the problem, not just close to the code. WHAT YOU WILL DO You’ll work on problems that sit at the intersection of product, engineering, data, operations, and AI. A few examples: * Helping restaurants activate faster and get more value from TheFork. * Improving monetization, upsell, product discovery, or referral loops. * Exposing useful data and recommendations to restaurants or internal teams. * Automating repetitive workflows for Customer Care, Sales, Moderation, or Operations. * Building internal tools that help teams move faster without adding more process. * Prototyping AI agents, MCP workflows, CLI-based automations, or internal copilots. * Reducing operational costs by turning fragmented data and manual work into reliable systems. Some of these projects will be clean product features. Some will be scrappy prototypes. Some will require going deep into existing systems. Some will start with a messy business problem and no obvious solution. You won’t be expected to solve everything alone. You’ll work with experienced engineers, Product, Data, and business teams to understand the problem, contribute to the solution, and grow your ownership over time. That’s the job. HOW WE THINK ABOUT ENGINEERING We care about impact, but not in a vague “move metrics” way. We care about software that changes something real: a restaurant activating faster, a sales team saving time, a support workflow becoming simpler, a moderation process costing less, or an internal team making better decisions because the right data is finally available. We like engineers who ask questions before building. We like prototypes when they help us learn faster. We like clean systems when the problem deserves long-term investment. We like boring, reliable software when reliability matters more than cleverness. We also like AI and automation, but not as decoration. AI is useful when it removes repetitive work, speeds up decision-making, improves internal workflows, or helps engineers increase their own leverage. If you are already using tools like Copilot, Claude, CLI agents, MCP workflows, or custom automations to work differently, you’ll probably enjoy this environment. The goal is not to put AI everywhere. The goal is to use modern tools intelligently to solve real problems. THE TECHNICAL STACK USED BY THE TEAM In the Growth & GTM team, we mainly work with: * Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL. * PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch. * DBT, AWS Glue, Hightouch. * Datadog, Grafana. * GitHub Copilot, Claude, AI CLI tools, MCP workflows. Across TheFork, you may also interact with Kubernetes, AWS, RabbitMQ, and some legacy PHP/Symfony services. You don’t need to have used every tool already. Solid technical foundations, curiosity, and fast learning matter more than exact stack matching. WHO YOU ARE YOU MUST MEET THESE CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS I’m not looking for someone who has already worked on every topic listed above. I’m looking for someone with solid engineering foundations, curiosity, product sensitivity, and the willingness to learn how to turn ambiguous problems into useful software. You might be a good fit if: * You are a backend or full-stack engineer. * You have experience building web applications, backend services, APIs, or distributed systems. * You have solid foundations in at least part of our core stack, especially Node.js, TypeScript, React, or GraphQL. * You care about product and business impact, not only technical output. * You are curious and comfortable asking questions when the problem is not fully clear. * You can contribute to turning a loosely defined problem into shipped software. * You enjoy working with Product, Data, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Care, and Operations. * You are curious about AI, automation, agents, CLI tools, and modern engineering workflows. * You care about reliability, maintainability, security, observability, and user trust. * You communicate clearly in English. Put another way: I’m looking for someone who gets energy from building useful software, learning fast, and helping turn messy growth or operational problems into simple, measurable solutions. YOU CAN IMPRESS WITH THESE ADDITIONS You may not enjoy this role if: * You prefer fully specified tickets with no need to understand the broader context. * You want to focus only on implementation. * You are not interested in AI, automation, or changing how work gets done. * You think internal tools are less valuable than customer-facing features. No judgment, it’s just a different kind of engineering role. Nice to have: * You already use tools like Copilot, Claude, CLI agents, MCP workflows, or custom automations to work differently. * You have worked on B2B SaaS, growth, monetization, onboarding, sales-assist, or product-led growth topics. * You have built internal tools, automations, or operational workflows that saved time or reduced costs. * You are comfortable with data pipelines, reverse ETL, analytics engineering, or customer data platforms. * You have experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, DBT, AWS Glue, Hightouch, Datadog, or Grafana. WHY THIS IS INTERESTING Restaurants are one of the most operationally complex industries in Europe. A lot of value is still trapped in manual workflows, fragmented data, and software that does not yet do enough of the work. That creates a lot of room for engineering leverage. A better onboarding flow can help thousands of restaurants activate faster. A smarter monetization flow can move revenue. A good internal automation can save hundreds of hours. A useful data product can change how teams make decisions. A pragmatic AI workflow can remove repetitive work and let people focus on higher-value problems. You’ll join a Paris-based team working with colleagues across Europe.
