Unlike other social media platforms that focus on followers, posts, or passive consumption, Wizz offers young people a space to have meaningful 1:1 conversations with peers. As a member of a high-performing team of 20, you'll collaborate to further scale and enhance Wizz, fostering a spirit of goodwill and creativity. As Wizz continues its dynamic growth and development, we are seeking an ambitious Chapter Lead Backend Engineer to join. ROLE We are looking for : * A Chapter Lead Backend Engineer who is not only technically strong but also eager to contribute to the product vision and actively participate in decision-making. * You won’t just be writing code, you’ll have a key role in shaping the architecture, scalability, and long-term strategy of Wizz. * Your ability to think beyond execution and take ownership will be crucial: we want someone who is proactive, challenges assumptions, and collaborates with product and engineering teams to create a robust, scalable, and innovative platform. YOUR MISSION: * Lead the backend team at Wizz of 4 Senior Backend Engineer, be responsible of the strategy * Own the backend architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability for millions of users. * Collaborate closely with product teams to shape and influence product decisions with a strong technical perspective. * Design, implement, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and available backend systems, including features that enhance user safety and content moderation. * Integrate and manage third-party services (e.g., analytics, moderation, cloud tools) to ensure a secure and seamless user experience. * Define and promote best practices in reliability, observability, and infrastructure management. * Contribute to backend infrastructure evolution, ensuring that it supports rapid product iterations, responsible growth, and a safe environment for our users. * Improve system performance and scalability, particularly around high-traffic distributed systems. ROLE We are looking for a Tech Lead iOS Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our iOS application, impacting millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the product, mentoring engineers, and ensuring excellence in both delivery and engineering practices. You will be responsible for: * Lead iOS technical strategy and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. * Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features with a strong focus on impact and quality. * Mentor iOS engineers and foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence. * Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical decisions with product and business goals. * Own code quality and engineering standards, improving best practices and processes. * Make high-impact technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability. * Use data and user feedback to inform product and technical improvements. * Drive innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI) and adopt modern tools, including AI-assisted development. * Ensure reliability and performance at scale, with a strong focus on user experience. You’ll work alongside AI tools that amplify your creativity and streamline your day-to-day. OUR STACK * iOS: Swift, Combine, SwiftUI, SPM, Swift Concurrency, MVVM * Ops: Github. * Android: Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, Room, gRPC. * Backend: Go, Node.js (NestJS, Nx, Typescript). * Database: Spanner, PostgreSQL, Redis. * Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Firebase. * Data: Amplitude, Tableau.
