Additionally, our Car Traffic Remote Monitoring product is trusted by several Tier 1 customers, including BMW.     Context   Once deployed on customers site, the Outsight products need to be evaluated to assess proper deployment and configuration through a combination of automated and manual performances evaluation. You will work with product and delivery teams to make sure Outsight products are accepted by customers, regulators, and business owners. You will provide documentation, processes and tools to support acceptance activities on deliveries and support the delivery team to analyse results.   Your responsibilities   Define & Plan Define the customer acceptance test strategy after delivery: scope, objectives, types of tests (user, contract, regulation), resources and tools for all major Outsight product features Build a test plan: timeline, resources, deliverables. Translate requirements into measurable acceptance criteria.   Design & Develop Define and implement Outsight products automated and manual performances evaluations (mainly using Python scripting) Select, maintain and develop hardware and software tools needed for acceptance tests. Support execution with customers and delivery teams. Analyze results and execution to improve test coverage and efficiency.   What makes the role important You are the go-to person for all aspects of customer acceptance testing, from tests and criteria definition to tools implementation and support. You don’t run every test, but you ensure the right criteria, tools, and processes are in place so that Outsight products can be accepted flawlessly. You are the link between Product and delivery teams to demonstrate and validate the Outsight products in customer environments.   Expected Skills   Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Industrial, Automotive —or equivalent practical experience Minimum 3 years in a similar role, demonstrating effective project execution, customer-centric support, and technical engagement. Data analysis skills, including pre-processing, visualization and statistical analysis Strong skills in Python and usual API interaction Solid IT and networking fundamentals Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering a high-quality support experience. Clear communicator with the ability to simplify and explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluent in English (French is a plus). Willing and able to travel for on-site deployments and customer support. You sit at the intersection of Hardware, Software, and DevOps. Your mission is to develop the hardware benches and software pipelines that allow the validation team to scale from testing 1 drone to 100 drones efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES * Automation: Develop Python scripts and tools to automate log analysis, telemetry parsing, and report generation. * CI/CD Integration: Work with the software team to integrate physical hardware tests into the continuous integration pipeline. * HIL Development: Design and build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches to simulate flight conditions in the lab. * Bonus: Design mechanical fixtures and jigs (CAD) to assist in repeatable physical testing. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Background in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics. * Strong proficiency in Python (C++ is a plus). * Experience building test benches, HIL systems, or automated test equipment (ATE). * Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Git) and Linux environments. * Bonus: A background in robotic or drones is a plus. * Bonus: Mechanical design skills (CAD) for building custom test rigs. We value open technical debates, continuous knowledge sharing, and giving every engineer the autonomy to shape the product.   YOUR DAILY ROUTINE Develop Core Product Features: Write clean, structured application code in Python to power our hardware update, testing, and inventory systems Own Your Domain (Frontend or DevOps): Depending on your track, you will either architect complex React/TypeScript admin interfaces or manage our Proxmox clusters, secrets, and automated deployments using Terraform and Ansible. Bridge Low-Level to High-Level: Work on a diverse codebase ranging from hardware-level data collection to web APIs. Drive a New Infrastructure Initiative: Partner with the team to design and ship the next major milestones of our next-generation architecture. Keep the Foundation Rock-Solid: Optimize, refactor, and test a significant volume of existing code to guarantee stability during long-running hardware validation tests. Maintain Engineering Excellence: Participate in rigorous peer code reviews, champion clean architecture, and engage in lightweight Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprints, retros).   ABOUT YOU HARDSKILLS: Your major – Core Software Engineering (Essential): Strong proficiency in Applicative Python: You are a software engineer at heart. You care about clean code, architecture, testing, API design, and building robust backend systems. You have at least 4 years of experience writing structured application code. Your minor – Choose Your Secondary Strength (At least one):You don’t need to know our entire stack, but you should bring professional experience in at least one of these cross-cutting areas: The Frontend Track: Experience building highly responsive web applications using React and TypeScript. Proficient in modern state management and data-fetching patterns. Comfortable handling complex asynchronous states, long-polling, or real-time updates. The DevOps/IaC Track: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation pipelines. Ansible and Terraform to provision virtualized clusters (Proxmox, …), building robust GitLab CI/CD workflows using Docker containers, and/or deploying/managing core APIs on Kubernetes. Orchestrating service VMs and automating system-level scripts or image builds is highly valued. Nice to have: The Systems Track: Solid foundations in Linux Sysadmin, networking protocols (VLANs, routing), bare-metal provisioning (DHCP, PXE, TFTP), or building custom Linux OS images (e.g., debootstrap/casper/mkosi).
