Here’s what you’ll take charge of: * Core Privacy & Risk Architecture: Craft and execute innovative strategies to build and operate Engine’s enterprise data privacy, AI governance, and risk management function, ensuring Engine stays ahead in the regulatory landscape. * Cross-Functional Risk Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Security, Product, and Finance to unlock new opportunities and deliver seamless, legally compliant experiences for our customers. * Program & Framework Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of automated workflows (such as CCPA/CPRA handling) and structured frameworks (including AI governance and tiered vendor risk programs) to enhance efficiency, scalability, and corporate compliance. * Strategic Legal Advisory: Provide exceptional support and insights to our clients and internal partners, ensuring every risk evaluation and incident response interaction with Engine exceeds expectations. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ENGINE We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us: * Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience in privacy law, either in-house or at a firm with an established privacy practice, backed by a J.D. with an active bar admission in good standing. * Skills: You’re a problem-solver with deep working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, US state privacy law frameworks, and FTC Section 5 standards, and you thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments. * Tech-Savvy: Bonus points if you’re fluent in OneTrust or similar privacy management platforms. * Mindset: You’re ready to roll up your sleeves, collaborate across the enterprise, protect material findings through structural privilege, and deliver results that matter. Purpose of Role To ensure the Branch operates in full compliance with Czech capital markets law, applicable EU regulations, and T212's group-wide compliance framework, under the supervision of the Czech National Bank (CNB). What you'll do * Assist with day-to-day compliance in line with regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements * Perform risk assessments in relation to compliance risks * Draft, modify, and implement company policies, procedures, and handbooks to reflect regulatory changes and business needs * Assist in drafting compliance reports to the CNB * Serve as the primary point of contact for CNB supervisory matters, including managing correspondence, regulatory enquiries, and on-site inspections * Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports to the CNB within statutory timeframes * Own and operate the Branch's client complaints handling framework in line with ZPKT and MiFID II requirements * Conduct and maintain the compliance monitoring programme, performing periodic reviews and reporting findings to the Head of Compliance * Ensure all client-facing materials comply with Czech language requirements and applicable regulatory obligations * Liaise with auditors during compliance audits and examinations * Assist in the function's strategic planning and decision making What you need to have * Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field * Knowledge of Czech capital markets law (ZPKT), CNB decrees, and applicable EU regulations (MiFID II/MiFIR) * Experience in a compliance function within an investment firm, bank, or capital markets entity; familiarity with MiFID II compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting is strongly preferred * Native or fluent Czech and professional English proficiency — both are essential for CNB correspondence, regulatory submissions, and HQ alignment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively * A drive for excellence and a continuous improvement mindset What we offer * A unique opportunity to be part of the team building our presence in the Czech Republic from the ground up * Challenging projects with high impact on our international growth * Collaboration with a team of smart, driven, and supportive high-performers * A flexible, idea-friendly culture that values ownership and initiative * Competitive remuneration package Are you ready to accelerate your career with us?
