and backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira — and our 2026 growth targets are the most ambitious we've ever set.
Field is one of the levers that will make or break that plan. Many of our buyers don't live online. They're on job sites, in
dispatch offices, and on the road. Field is how we reach them, and the pipeline it generates consistently converts faster, expands
more, and churns less than what comes through any other channel.
We've also made significant investments into our partnership with city and regional DMOs — a meaningful bet on destination
partnerships as a repeatable engine for pipeline. This role owns getting full value from these relationships and proving the model

ABOUT ENGINE At Engine, we’re transforming business travel into something personalized, rewarding, and simple. For too long, managing travel and spend has been overwhelming and fragmented — we’re here to change that. We believe the future of travel should be seamless and powered by technology that delights customers at every step. That’s why we’re building a platform that brings together corporate travel, a powerful charge card, and modern spend management in one place. To make this vision real, we’re looking for exceptional, mission-driven people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. More than 30,000 companies already rely on Engine to support over 1 million travelers and billions in annual bookings each year. Cash flow positive with rapid growth, we pair exclusive Engine-only rates, industry-leading rewards, and intelligent automation to help businesses save money while delivering world-class personalization and convenience. Backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira, Engine has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing travel and fintech platforms in North America, with honors including the Deloitte Fast 500 and Built In’s Best Places to Work. Scale Engine's growth by making the product the primary engine of discovery, adoption, and expansion. You'll own the full growth product surface — from first click to multi-product power user — and lead the team building the systems that get us there. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Engine is the travel and spend management platform transforming how businesses move. We're cash flow positive, scaling rapidly, and backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira — and our next growth phase depends on making the product itself the most powerful driver of acquisition, activation, and expansion. The opportunity for the growth product team is massive. Every improvement we see in acquisition and activation compounds impact across the customer base. Engine customers who activate on more than one product are far more likely to grow and stay with Engine. WHAT YOU'LL OWN * PLG strategy and execution across the full funnel: acquisition, activation, expansion, cross-sell (hotel → car/flight, Direct Bill, Flex Pro, Engine X, Rewards), and referrals. * Communications platform: owning and evolving the system that manages and maintains all product communications, from trigger logic and CustomerIO integrations to notification strategy. * Experimentation rigor: establishing and scaling a disciplined test-and-learn engine: hypothesis development, test sizing, targeting and cohort design, deployment standards, and post-test learning infrastructure. * Horizontal growth surfaces: dashboard cards, banners, tooltips, empty states, post-booking modals, and other reusable surfaces that deliver contextual nudges across the product lifecycle. * Targeting models: Building our next best action modeling from the ground in partnership with the data science team. * Roadmap and prioritization: balancing short-term experiment velocity with longer-term foundational investments (onboarding architecture, AM triaging systems, intent collection). * Team leadership: managing and developing a team of PMs, aligning closely with design, engineering, data, and go-to-market partners. THE PROBLEMS YOU'LL SOLVE This team operates at the intersection of speed and rigor. You'll be expected to ship fast, learn faster, and build durable infrastructure where it matters. Some of the challenges you'll inherit: * Improving activation: showing the right experience to the right user even before conversion to help customers be successful * Closing the gap between signal and action: we know what triggers should drive cross-sell and expansion, but the in-product machinery to act on them is early. * Making experimentation more rigorous: sizing, targeting, guardrails, and post-test learning need to become consistent practice across every PLG initiative. * Clarifying when to experiment vs. when to invest in foundational infrastructure, and socializing that distinction across the org. * Getting to multi-product accounts at scale: test into and prove the ideal customer journey for discovering and using other Engine products. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * 7+ years in product management, including 2+ years leading a team of PMs or in a group PM capacity. * Deep PLG experience: you've built or scaled self-serve growth motions, and you understand the difference between a tactic and a system. * Strong AI execution: You can ship small-cut fixes and improvements yourself. Claude or GPT is tightly integrated into your workflows. * Experimentation fluency: you know how to size a test, design a hypothesis, set guardrails, and turn results into durable learning. You raise the bar when it isn't set high enough. * Strong analytical instincts: you're comfortable in Amplitude, can interrogate a funnel, and know which metrics to trust and which to question. * Systems thinking: you distinguish between foundational product investment and lightweight experimentation, and you know how to sequence both. * Cross-functional credibility: you work well with engineers, designers, data, and go-to-market teams, and you know how to drive alignment without burning cycles. * Hands-on leadership: you set strategy and dive in yourself. We accept applications for this role on an ongoing basis. We review applications as they are received and encourage interested candidates to apply early. Compensation Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience, expertise, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE). Your recruiter will share your complete compensation package as you move through the process. Backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira, Engine has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing travel and fintech platforms in North America, with honors including the Deloitte Fast 500 and Built In’s Best Places to Work. ABOUT THE ROLE Engine's travel booking platform is how teams find, book, and manage business travel. As Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you'll own key parts of the customer journey across our core travel experience, turning new users into loyal, repeat bookers and building the lifecycle programs that drive adoption, engagement, retention, and advocacy. Our travel platform serves a range of user types, from admins booking on behalf of others to frequent travelers managing their own trips, each with distinct behaviors, needs, and success metrics. Success in this role requires building deep fluency in how these users interact with the platform, understanding what "good" looks like across different segments, and designing lifecycle programs tailored to their unique dynamics. You'll have the creative freedom to design delightful customer journeys from scratch while leveraging data to prove what works. You'll work in lockstep with Product Management, Data, and Growth, and have direct influence on product roadmaps, cross-product strategy, and outcomes. YOUR MISSION You will build and optimize lifecycle marketing programs across email, SMS, push, and in-app surfaces for Engine's core travel platform. You'll use data-driven customer journey design to drive product adoption, feature engagement, long-term retention, and expansion across the platform when there is clear user value. You'll establish the playbook for how Engine communicates with travelers and admins throughout their journey, while respecting that each user segment has its own behaviors, needs, and key indicators of success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lifecycle Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive lifecycle programs (onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, advocacy) for Engine's core travel platform, including journeys that drive deeper adoption of platform features at the right moment. * Customer Journey Design: Create delightful, data-informed user journeys that guide customers from initial signup through power user adoption. Balance product education with user value, and identify natural transition points where users are ready for deeper engagement with the platform. * Experimentation: Build a rigorous testing framework to validate messaging, timing, channel mix, and segmentation strategies. Use data to improve performance continuously. * Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Product Managers and Product Leads to align lifecycle programs with product priorities and feature releases. Contribute actionable insights from behavioral and campaign data to inform product decisions. Influence prioritization of lifecycle-driven improvements by clearly articulating customer friction and opportunity areas. * Technical Execution: Independently build and launch lifecycle campaigns in Customer.io (or equivalent platform). Use Looker and Snowflake to create audience segments, analyze cohorts, and surface behavioral insights. Write and modify SQL queries for segmentation, funnel analysis, and lifecycle reporting with increasing independence and reliability. * Performance Analysis: Own ongoing cohort behavior, identify drop-off points, and translate data into actionable insights that improve product metrics (activation rate, feature adoption, retention). * Content & Messaging: Write and iterate compelling, on-brand emails and in-product messages that drive action. Maintain strong opinions on what makes customer communication effective. * Channel Strategy: Determine the right mix of email, in-product messaging, and other channels to reach users at the right moment with the right message. QUALIFICATIONS * Lifecycle Expertise: 4+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing roles with proven success driving product adoption and retention metrics. * Data Proficiency: You must be able to dig into data yourself, not hand off tasks to analysts. Strong analytical skills with experience using Looker, Snowflake, or similar tools. Comfortable with SQL for audience segmentation and analysis. The ability to quickly understand and operate across multiple datasets tied to different products is critical. * Writing Excellence: Exceptional copywriting skills for emails, in-product messages, and user-facing content. You have strong opinions on what makes great customer communication and know how to use LLMs to create great, on-brand copy. * Product Partnership: Experience working closely with Product teams, influencing roadmaps, and taking ownership of product outcome metrics, not just marketing metrics. * Tool Mastery: Hands-on experience with Customer.io (or similar platforms like Iterable, Braze), Salesforce, and analytics tools. * Experimentation Rigor: Track record of building and running structured A/B tests, analyzing results, and iterating based on data. * Customer Empathy: Deep understanding of user intent and behavior. Ability to design journeys that feel helpful rather than interruptive. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * B2B SaaS or marketplace experience * Experience with early-stage or 0-1 product launches * Background in travel, fintech, or marketplaces * SQL proficiency for custom audience building TECH STACK PROFICIENCY Customer.io, Looker, Salesforce, Snowflake, SQL, Google Analytics, Excel/Sheets Applications for this role will be accepted through August 28th, 2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline. Compensation Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience, expertise, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE). Backed by Telescope Partners, Blackstone, and Permira, Engine has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing travel and fintech platforms in North America, with honors including the Deloitte Fast 500 and Built In’s Best Places to Work. ABOUT THE ROLE Travel is Engine's core product and our biggest growth opportunity. We're looking for a Travel Performance Manager to own the full paid performance portfolio for our B2B Travel product line. Driving net-new business sign-ups and converting them into first-time bookers, across every paid channel that reaches the business travel buyer, from search and social to programmatic, CTV, audio, and the emerging channels we haven't tested yet. This role sits on the Performance Marketing team and is accountable to product-line efficiency, while driving effective channel performance. You'll own the strategy, execution, and measurement of every paid dollar we spend to acquire B2B Travel customers. This is an established program with real spend behind it, and it's scaling fast. Success is measured on B2B Travel ROAS and LTV:CAC, with net-new sign-ups and sign-up-to-first-booking conversion as the leading indicators. Our ideal candidate has deep fluency across the full paid portfolio: search, social, programmatic, and net-new channels. You have the judgment to know where to invest for incremental growth versus where to optimize existing spend. You think in two motions at once: driving efficient net-new sign-ups at the top, and improving the rate at which those sign-ups become first-time bookers. You're an AI-native marketer who adapts quickly to new tools and systems. You have a strong hand in creative strategy and testing, and you think in efficient results rather than impressions. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own the full paid performance portfolio for B2B Travel, covering strategy, execution, and measurement across all channels: search, social, programmatic, CTV, audio, and emerging platforms. * Drive net-new business sign-ups and improve the rate at which sign-ups convert into first-time bookers, owning both halves of the acquisition motion. * Drive acquisition efficiency, measured against product-line ROAS and LTV:CAC, not channel-level proxies. * Partner across Performance, Analytics, and Product to ensure measurement, attribution, and signal quality reach a high bar across the sign-up and first-booking funnel. * Own the creative testing loop for Travel (hypothesis, variant, scaled winner) in partnership with brand and creative resources. * Lead channel expansion into net-new paid channels (CTV, Spotify and audio, direct mail, emerging platforms) with a structured test-and-graduate framework. * Build and maintain the weekly performance narrative for Travel: what's working, what's not, and what's next. * Coordinate with lifecycle and CRM so paid acquisition hands off cleanly into the customer journey, without owning the email and journey flows yourself. * Use AI tools and workflows to increase throughput: audience building, creative briefing, performance reporting, and in-platform optimization. WHO YOU ARE * 7–10 years of performance marketing experience with a track record of driving efficient acquisition against ROAS, LTV:CAC, or payback-period targets. * You've owned a full paid portfolio, not just one or two channels, and know when to scale, hold, or kill spend. * You've managed paid programs at meaningful scale, and you know how to grow spend without letting efficiency slip. * Deep hands-on experience across search, social, and programmatic. Bonus points if you've tested and scaled net-new channels like CTV, audio, podcast, or direct mail. * Strong creative instincts. You can brief, evaluate, and iterate on creative with a clear point of view, not just rely on an agency or designer to drive the loop. * AI-fluent and systems-adaptive. You've actively used AI tools to change how you work, and you can onboard new platforms and workflows without hand-holding. * You understand measurement end-to-end: attribution, incrementality, MMM, and why each matters at different altitudes. * Comfortable with SQL or BI tools at a functional level. You can pull and interpret your own data without waiting on analytics. * B2B SaaS experience preferred. Travel, T&E, or high-velocity B2B backgrounds are a plus. * You lead with data and outcomes, not activity or impressions. * Comfortable balancing optimization of an established program with expansion into new channels. * Direct communicator who can speak to executives and ICs with equal clarity. We accept applications for this role on an ongoing basis. We review applications as they are received and encourage interested candidates to apply early. Compensation Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience, expertise, and location.
