As an Internal Audit IT Associate Manager, you'll join the Internal Audit team and lead the execution of IT and security audits across Coinbase's global cloud infrastructure, security operations, and crypto-native products. This team delivers independent, third-line assurance over technology, information security, and IT governance, helping Coinbase protect customers and maintain trust at scale. You'll own audits end-to-end, from planning through reporting, mentor junior team members supporting your engagements, and translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. What you'll do: * Own end-to-end execution of IT and security audits covering cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), application security, identity and access management, vendor/third-party risk, and blockchain-related products including wallets and cold storage. * Lead audit planning, fieldwork, and stakeholder management, synthesizing findings into evidence-based reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Audit Committee. * Direct and develop junior audit team members supporting your engagements, providing day-to-day guidance, reviewing workpapers, and coaching on technical and professional growth. * Drive continuous monitoring and validation of remediated audit findings, tracking management responses and flagging delays or emerging risk themes. * Partner with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to identify control improvements and risk mitigation opportunities while preserving third-line independence and objectivity. * Build and maintain a current understanding of IT, security, and financial services regulatory requirements to assess their impact on Coinbase's control environment. Required Skills and Experience: * 6+ years of experience in IT internal audit, information security audit, or first-line technology/security operations, with at least 1 year managing audit processes and staff. * Hands-on audit experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including IAM policies, security configurations, encryption, logging, and network architecture. * Working knowledge of audit and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, or ITIL, with relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM) preferred. * Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent audits across time zones and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Familiarity with crypto, blockchain infrastructure, or financial services audit environments. * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. As the Senior Manager, Internal IT & Security Audit, you'll lead Coinbase's global IT and security audit program. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will operate within an independent third line of defense that maintains functional accountability to the Audit Committee. You'll own the multi-year IT and security audit roadmap, ensuring coordinated coverage across all regions (US, EMEA, UK, APAC) and alignment with Coinbase's enterprise risk profile and regulatory expectations. Your leadership will directly strengthen how Coinbase identifies, evaluates, and mitigates technology and security risks across the organization. What you'll do: * Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional IT and security audits covering cloud infrastructure, security operations, identity and access management, data protection, vendor/third-party risk, and key products and services. * Lead and develop a high-performing global team of internal auditors and co-sourced resources, setting goals, coaching talent, managing performance, and building succession pipelines across regions. * Drive integrated assurance across the three lines of defense by partnering with first and second line risk, compliance, security, and technology teams to rationalize testing and maximize control coverage. * Shape executive-level reporting on technology and security control effectiveness, distilling key themes, emerging risks, and root causes into clear materials for senior management, the Head of Internal Audit, and the Audit Committee. * Partner with technology and security leadership across Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Product to provide independent challenge on major initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, new product launches, architecture changes) without compromising third-line independence. * Build continuous improvement into the audit function by driving adoption of data analytics, automation, and generative AI to modernize IT and security audit execution, including continuous monitoring and automated evidence retrieval. Required Skills and Experience: * 12+ years of experience in internal audit with deep focus on IT and information security, or in first-line / second-line technology/security roles with significant controls and audit exposure. * Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional IT audit portfolios spanning cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and third-party risk across multiple regulatory jurisdictions (US, EMEA, APAC). * Deep technical knowledge of cloud-based technology stacks, software development lifecycles, cloud security configurations, and enterprise IT operations risks and controls. * Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA) and working fluency with frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ITIL. * Proven leadership experience building, mentoring, and managing global audit teams, including co-sourced resources and indirect reports across time zones. * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. As an Accounting Manager, Prime Financing, you'll join the Accounting team within Finance and own the end-to-end accounting function for Coinbase's prime financing and brokerage business. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Prime Brokerage and Digital Assets, you'll build processes and controls from the ground up, lead a team through monthly close and quarterly/annual reporting, and partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting as this business scales. What you'll do: * Own the review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness through each close cycle. * Build scalable, automated financial processes and controls for the prime financing function, including drafting standard operating procedures that reduce manual effort and support SOX compliance. * Lead your team through the monthly financial close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit processes, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are audit-ready. * Partner with cross-functional teams to provide accounting insights on SEC regulations and lending practices, translating regulatory developments into actionable accounting guidance. * Drive the design and implementation of new controls and processes for platform and brokerage accounting activities, identifying gaps and recommending improvements that keep pace with business growth.
