As a Customer Success Manager for APJ, you’ll help GitLab customers realize the full value of our intelligent DevSecOps platform
by driving adoption, measurable outcomes, and long-term advocacy across the region. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to a
portfolio of customers, guiding them on Git, branching strategies, software development lifecycle practices, continuous
integration, continuous deployment, and DevSecOps best practices. In this role, you’ll connect customer goals with GitLab
capabilities, lead workshops and Center of Excellence efforts, and turn product usage data into clear, actionable recommendations
for both customers and GitLab account teams. You’ll work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Professional

The Customer Success Management team at GitLab supports customers across regions by helping them navigate change, improve how they
work, and make the most of the GitLab DevSecOps platform.
As a globally distributed, all-remote team, we collaborate asynchronously with Product Management, Engineering, Sales,
Professional Services, and other teams to connect customer needs with GitLab’s product and services. We focus on helping customers
establish GitLab best practices, including Centers of Excellence, and on using data and customer context to support strategic and
technical goals. In APJ, this role helps bring regional perspective to those efforts while working as part of a broader team that

AN OVERVIEW OF THIS ROLE As a Senior Technical Architect at GitLab, you will be a highly visible, customer-facing technical leader within our Professional Services organization and the wider Customer Success team. You will partner closely with Professional Services Engineers, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and engagement managers to design and guide complex service engagements, from early discovery through successful delivery. You will play a critical role in helping customers plan and execute source code management (SCM) migrations, modernize their cloud and DevOps architectures, and adopt GitLab as their DevSecOps platform of choice. In this role, you will balance hands-on consulting with pre-sales responsibilities, leading technical conversations with prospects, shaping scopes of work, and setting clear expectations in often ambiguous environments. You will also mentor Professional Services and partner consultants, elevating communication, implementation quality, and best practices across the team. Some examples of our projects: * Leading enterprise SCM migrations and CI/CD transformation initiatives * Shaping technical solutions and scopes of work for complex Professional Services engagements WHAT YOU'LL DO * Partner with Professional Services Engineers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects to design and deliver complex, enterprise-grade solutions for customers across different industries. * Lead technical discovery and architecture conversations with prospects and customers, translating ambiguous requirements into clear solution designs and actionable implementation plans. * Support customer migrations and implementations, including source code management (SCM) migration, cloud architecture design, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) consulting services. * Provide technical leadership during Professional Services engagements, guiding Professional Services Engineering teams through design decisions, risk identification, and issue resolution. * Collaborate closely with Regional Delivery Managers on staffing assessments, partner consultant technical vetting, and evaluation of new hire candidates for technical fit. * Mentor Professional Services and partner consultants by modeling best practice communication, consulting behaviors, and implementation strategies, and by providing ongoing feedback and coaching. * Create and deliver enablement sessions for Professional Services and other teams on how to position, scope, and deliver specific service offerings to customers. * Contribute to pre-sales activities by joining sales conversations, shaping statements of work (SOWs), and helping articulate technical value to customers in partnership with the sales team. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US.
