As a Cloud Architect Manager at Artefact, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing robust, scalable,
and secure cloud solutions that support our clients’ data and technology ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with technical
teams and business stakeholders to ensure cloud architecture is aligned with business needs, optimizing tool selection, cost
efficiency, and scalability. Additionally, you will lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to Artefact’s growth by
driving innovation and promoting best practices in cloud technology.

As a Data Engineer, your role involves crafting and maintaining robust data pipelines, utilising Python and SQL, to ensure efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data. Your responsibilities will include: * Data Pipeline Development: Building and optimising data pipelines to facilitate seamless data flow across systems and platforms. * Database Management: Managing databases, ensuring their integrity, and implementing data storage and retrieval solutions. * Cloud Services Integration: Leveraging cloud services such as MS Azure, GCP, and AWS to architect and deploy scalable data solutions. * Machine Learning Integration: Collaborating with teams to integrate machine learning models into data pipelines for enhanced data processing. * Utilising Spark & Kafka: Implementing and working with Spark and Kafka for real-time data processing and analytics. What we are looking for? * 2-5 years: Data Engineer * Proficiency in Python, SQL, and database management. * Experience with Data Pipelines ETL, Cloud Services (MS Azure, GCP, AWS), ML Modeling, Spark & Kafka. * Proven problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset. * Experience working with business stakeholders either internally or externally * Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams and with stakeholders. * Strong business acumen with an interest in business-facing roles. * Adaptability and a start-up mentality to thrive in a dynamic environment. * Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, and Communication Engineering degrees. What you'll be doing ... * Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure architectures (cloud, on-premise, hybrid) aligned with business requirements. * Define and enforce best practices for cloud platform deployment and configuration, security, networking, operations and tools selection. * Oversee the integration of cloud platforms with data pipelines, storage, and compute services. * Standardize coding, deployment, and monitoring practices across cloud environments. * Design and implement automated solutions to set up, monitor, and adjust cloud infrastructure efficiently. * Lead problem-solving initiatives for complex technical challenges related to cloud environments. * Provide technical leadership across multiple cloud projects, ensuring efficient resource management. * Foster teamwork by mentoring, coaching and guiding cloud engineers and ensuring knowledge transfer. * Manage client relationships regarding project expectations, timelines, and outcomes. * Contribute to Artefact's growth by maintaining tech partnerships, leading technical proposals to support project planning and identify potential growth areas with existing accounts. What you'll need ... * Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures on Azure at scale * Strong expertise in cloud security, networking, and compliance frameworks. * Led the end-to-end design of highly available, secure, and cost-optimized Azure environments for enterprise customers, leveraging services such as Azure Virtual Network, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure App Service. * Defined multi-region DR/HA architectures using Azure Traffic Manager, paired regions, and Azure Site Recovery, achieving RTOs under 1 hour for mission-critical workloads. * Enable automated patching, scaling, and monitoring tasks via Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and PowerShell DSC, improving operational efficiency. * Deep understanding of cloud cost optimization, monitoring, and high availability design patterns. * Collaborated with data engineers to optimize architectures on Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Synapse, and MS Fabric * Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing technical teams and large-scale projects. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience creating business-focused presentations. * Demonstrated problem-solving abilities for complex, multi-disciplinary cloud projects. * Experience managing senior stakeholders and navigating client discussions effectively. * Ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical teams in cloud engineering best practices. * A track record of contributing to business growth through technical innovation and strategic initiatives.
