The Brazil CRM team manages communication throughout the entire user lifecycle, shaping how millions of merchants experience
SumUp, from onboarding to retention initiatives. This is a team that works at the intersection of technical execution, strategy,
and creativity, and the work directly influences product growth and user engagement.

As a Senior Security Engineer for our tribe, you will be responsible for embedding and scaling robust security practices throughout the product development lifecycle at SumUp. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into our architecture, development processes, and delivery pipelines, helping us build secure and compliant financial products at scale. What You’ll Do * Embed security practices across the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring security is a core part of engineering processes and decisions * Define, document, and promote secure architectural standards and best practices based on industry frameworks (OWASP, NIST, CIS) * Support engineering teams in implementing and configuring security tooling (SAST, SCA, container scanning) within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficiency and low friction * Drive the adoption and optimization of SAST tools, including rule tuning, developer training, and results analysis * Contribute to the Software Supply Chain Security program by assessing risks in third-party dependencies and promoting secure development practices (e.g., SCA tools, commit signing, SLSA) * Conduct security analyses and threat modeling for new and existing products, identifying vulnerabilities and guiding teams on secure design decisions * Collaborate with teams to design and implement secure authentication and authorization solutions (IAM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) * Ensure systems and processes comply with security standards such as PCI-DSS * Deliver security training and awareness initiatives, including workshops and guidance for engineers on secure coding practices * Support and secure cloud-native environments, particularly in AWS and Kubernetes, including infrastructure hardening, secrets management, and runtime protection * Continuously improve security practices by building automation, improving tooling coverage, and establishing scalable security engagement models with engineering teams. In this pivotal role, you will own the CRM strategy for LeasingMarkt, working closely with the AutoScout24 CRM Lead to define the strategy, roadmap and accelerate customer engagement across Email, App Push, and WhatsApp. You will partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver impactful CRM initiatives, optimize the customer lifecycle, and use data to continuously improve performance. A key priority for this role will be leading LeasingMarkt's migration from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to Iterable, laying the foundations for a scalable, modern CRM ecosystem that unlocks new opportunities for personalization, automation, and AI-powered customer engagement. What you'll do * Own the CRM roadmap: Define and execute the CRM strategy for LeasingMarkt, aligning CRM initiatives with business objectives and customer lifecycle priorities. * Own and optimize CRM engagement: Manage the end-to-end delivery of multi-channel CRM communications across Email, WhatsApp, and App Push. Continuously improve engagement, conversion, and retention by optimizing campaigns, customer journeys, and lifecycle communications. * Drive personalization and lifecycle marketing: Develop audience growth strategies, build meaningful customer segments, and design personalized lifecycle journeys (e.g. onboarding, lead nurturing, re-engagement, and retention) to increase customer engagement and conversion. * Lead the Salesforce Marketing Cloud → Iterable migration: Own the migration from planning through implementation, journey design, QA, testing, launch, and post-migration optimization, while ensuring business continuity. * Drive CRM innovation: Identify and champion new opportunities in automation, AI, and personalization to continuously enhance the customer experience and scale CRM performance. * Measure and improve performance: Monitor CRM health through dashboards and KPIs, analyze campaign performance, run A/B tests, and translate insights into actionable improvements. * Collaborate across teams: Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Marketing stakeholders to deliver CRM initiatives and continuously improve the customer experience. What you bring * You bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in CRM / Lifecycle Marketing, ideally in multi-channel environments. * Experience with CRM / marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Braze); migration experience is a plus. * You are comfortable operating with a high degree of independence. You will be the dedicated CRM manager for the LeasingMarkt brand—working from a different location than the central CRM team (based in Berlin)—and can confidently shape strategy, execute campaigns, and drive results end-to-end. * You can switch easily between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You enjoy designing long-term CRM strategies just as much as creating and shipping day-to-day campaigns. * You have strong campaign execution skills to take campaigns from idea to send. * Comfortable with data and dashboards to measure impact and prioritize improvements. * Structured, proactive working style and confidence working with multiple stakeholders. * You are fluent in English (our working language).
