We are currently looking to hire a Threat Assessment Manager to join our team embedded with our client in San Francisco! This

position allows for remote work within the United States.

This is a full-time position with a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. The current schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, though

shifts are subject to change based on business needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Threat Assessment Manager will be responsible for comprehensive threat assessment management for client staff and operations,

while contributing to and protecting client culture and business interests. This role provides behavioral threat assessments, case

management, and other related security management services to address external threats to the client company.

The scope of the role pertains to threats to life safety to the company, employees, and partner community as directed by the

client. Threat Managers will perform these tasks using client-supplied equipment, network access, and information platforms.

Threat Managers will perform these duties via the following:

Application of subject matter expertise
Adherence to prescribed program policies and procedures
Coordination with the greater team of cross-functional program groups to provide immediate and collaborative incident

management when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain comprehensive threat research regionally.
Identify, investigate, analyze, and manage global threats to executive staff and employees
Produce actionable and concise threat analysis products in a timely manner to inform cross-functional groups, executive staff

protection, and enterprise-wide security operations

Work with and guide open-source intelligence analysts, utilizing law enforcement databases, social media platforms, and the

deep/dark web for known and potential threats capable of impacting executive staff, employees, or the business partner

community.

Manage Safety and Security team relationships with local law enforcement partners and other investigative, research, and

intelligence groups and vendors.

Work closely with the client's customer service team members on threats
Maintain global situational awareness of potential and developing threats and prepare impact analyses
Work on complex security incidents with multiple stakeholders, including those without experience in the threat and

intelligence fields.

Lead regional cross-functional program syncs to educate and develop improved threat capabilities.
Assist in program development with workflow creation, threat methodology research, and other planning products.
Have a team-focused approach to problem-solving.
Be comfortable communicating with everyone from senior executives to entry-level employees.
Have the ability to translate complex security issues in a way that your specific audience can consume and understand them.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of experience in threat analysis, ideally behavioral threat assessment, and threat management.
Experience supporting a comprehensive threat management program and direct experience conducting investigations, intelligence

collection, analysis, and case management.

Extensive experience with utilizing open source research, criminal background information, and other online investigative

techniques.

Current member (or ability to become a member) of professional threat assessment organizations (i.e., Association of Threat

Assessment Professionals).

Ability to work some non-traditional hours (e.g., nights, weekends, or holidays) and respond to emergent or time-sensitive

situations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrable during the interview process.
Must be a highly adaptable and flexible individual with the ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively and

cross-functionally.

Professional competency in the Google Suite of workspace applications and Mac OS.
This position requires up to 10% travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Threat Manager (CTM), or currently eligible to sit for the CTM exam per the Association of Threat Assessment

Professionals (ATAP) standards.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (years of experience may be substituted).
Former or current Law Enforcement experience
International experience/living abroad
Data analysis
Planning and policy drafting
Training and Exercise experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Safety Advocate provides a safe environment for clients, staff, volunteers, and guests of Larkin Street Youth Services. This role responds to on-the-ground crisis and emergencies to increase safety in and around Larkin Street’s housing programs, drop-in center, and offices. You will be joining a team that takes a trauma-informed perspective to their work. Safety Advocates de-escalate behaviors and risks with compassion and care. This is a full-time position, eligible for full benefits. Your responsibilities: * Monitor and anticipate potential safety and security problems, and attempts, through de-escalation techniques to prevent or defuse them before they become critical. * Maintain updated awareness of clients with restricted or modified access to services. * Redirect and ensure the exit of ineligible clients to secure the safety of the space, * Respond to emergency calls from assigned areas as needed. * Safely deal with or assist in dealing with any emergency situations. * Always maintain a high level of awareness of one’s surroundings. * Observe and identify unusual/irregular occurrences that may require closer examination to ensure the safety of the facilities and the persons in them. * Observe and safely intervene as appropriate in crises to ensure the safety of staff, clients, volunteers, and other visitors. * Monitor assigned area to identify safety hazards, reports safety hazards, and intervene according to established procedures. * Comply with all Larkin Street’s safety requirements, policies, and requirements to ensure a safe work environment for all. * Check and secure buildings at the beginning and end of each day as instructed.
