We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to
empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own
products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of
companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their
financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US,
Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C.,
London and Amsterdam.
Team Description
The Integrations Platform team is at the heart of Plaid. Every extraction Plaid performs — on-demand or scheduled — flows through
the services this team owns, supporting some of the world's largest companies, including Google, Meta, Shopify, Square, Robinhood,
and Venmo.
Our mission is to provide a highly reliable, efficient, and configurable extraction platform that powers all of Plaid's
extractions, ensuring products get the bank data they need, when they need it. We are tier-0 in Plaid's architecture: downtime
here causes downtime across every Plaid product.
We are the data-supply team for every product at Plaid. Plaid's newest insights products — LendScore (Credit), Protect (Fraud),
Signal, EWA Score — depend directly on the accuracy, freshness, and quality of the bank data our platform delivers. Our customers
are Plaid's product engineering teams (Fraud, Credit, Payments, Financial Management), Network Engineering & Access (NEA, the team
that writes the per-bank extractors on top of our framework), and the Data Org.
is one of the hardest optimization problems at Plaid. We need to keep data fresh enough to meet 8,000+ different customers'
SLAs, stay inside the rate limits each bank imposes on us, and minimize the cost of every extraction, all at the same time.

account, it's our job to keep it authenticated, healthy, and extractable for the years that follow — through token rotations,
bank-side changes, and the long tail of failure modes that can break a connection at any point in its lifecycle.

We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. Team: We protect the integrity of Plaid's network and authentication surfaces. We keep bad actors, synthetic and stolen identities, and low-quality data-partner traffic off the platform so that the millions of connections Plaid powers stay trustworthy. We build Plaid's internal risk platform: detection, scoring, and real-time decisioning and we're the foundation every other Plaid product depends on Role: You own Plaid's internal network-health and risk platform — how we detect, score, and act on risky traffic across our 10,000+ data-partner integrations. You set the roadmap, define the block/step-up/allow decisioning framework, and partner directly with the Data Science and MLE and operations team to sharpen detection precision. This is a platform PM role: your customer is the network itself, and your output is a measurably safer, higher-quality data supply. Responsibilities: * Define and prioritize the DS/MLE roadmap for network-health detection — articulate model investment needs, own precision/recall tradeoff decisions, and translate model outputs into real-time product actions. * Build and own the data-driven framework for real-time block-vs-allow decisions, balancing network quality against customer and commercial impact. * Aggregate requirements across risk engineering, fraud & abuse operations, and data partners into a single prioritized roadmap. * Define how to measure Network Health * You define and own the team’s OKRs (risky-traffic detection/step-up; ATO reduction, Authentication correctness). * Define and recommend Plaid’s risk-versus-conversion posture, partnering with company leadership to set clear, data-backed thresholds for when to allow, step up, or block traffic. * Get hands-on with data: run light investigations yourself, pull signals, and ground product decisions in evidence — this PM doesn't wait for an analyst to tell them what's happening. * Span multiple risk problem categories simultaneously: data-partner supply risk, authentication risk/correctness, and AQO — owning one coherent roadmap across all three. Qualifications: * 6+ years in product management, ideally on internal risk, trust & safety, fraud, or identity platforms. * Hands-on technical depth: detection signals, precision/recall tradeoffs, light data analysis/investigation. * Experience building ML based products / insights * Proven partnership with Data Science / MLE teams on risk models. * Experience with risk decisioning, KYC, synthetic/stolen-identity detection, or ATO. * Clear product requirements; strong cross-functional alignment. * [nice to have] Experience in a sophisticated internal risk org at a large fintech/bank/marketplace. * [nice to have] Former risk analyst / DS / investigator who moved into PM; familiarity with bank data / open finance. Product Managers at Plaid are curious, customer-obsessed, and move quickly to deliver value. They take ownership, sweat the details, and make sound decisions with imperfect information. You will work across engineering, data science, and research to develop scalable AI systems—from core embeddings and representation learning to applied model integrations that enhance developer and consumer outcomes. This role is for an experienced PM who thrives at the intersection of AI and platform products. You are technically fluent, strategic, and execution-oriented. You enjoy turning advanced machine-learning capabilities into reliable, trusted infrastructure that scales across Plaid’s ecosystem. Responsibilities * AI Platform Vision: Define the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for Plaid’s core AI and data foundation, enabling smarter, more adaptive financial products across the ecosystem. * System Development: Partner with Engineering and Data Science to design scalable AI systems, from model training and evaluation pipelines to APIs that deliver intelligence at scale. * Product Execution: Drive initiatives from concept to production, balancing rapid experimentation with reliability, transparency, and responsible AI practices. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with research, platform, and product teams to embed AI capabilities across Plaid’s products and developer platform. * Measurement and Iteration: Use metrics, model performance data, and customer feedback to validate impact, inform prioritization, and continuously improve outcomes. * Communication and Alignment: Translate complex AI concepts into clear narratives and tradeoffs for technical and non-technical stakeholders, building shared understanding across teams. Qualifications * 8+ years of product management experience with direct experience leading AI/ML or applied intelligence products from concept to production with measurable impact. * Deep technical fluency in how modern ML systems are trained, evaluated, deployed, and monitored, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers and data scientists. * Strategic and executional range. Skilled at defining long-term AI vision while delivering near-term experiments, prototypes, and launches. * Platform mindset and experience building scalable developer or data platforms through well-designed primitives, APIs, and frameworks. * Strong communicator and influencer who can translate complex AI concepts into clear narratives and decisions for technical and non-technical audiences. * Commitment to responsible AI and transparency, especially in regulated or high-trust domains. * [Nice to Have] Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, or agentic systems in production. * [Nice to Have] Familiarity with applied AI in regulated or high-trust domains such as fintech, identity, or risk.
