ABOUT THE ROLE As an engineer at Notion, you’ll help shape core user experiences and accelerate how people discover value in Notion. You'll take ownership of projects that matter, make critical technical decisions, and contribute your unique perspective to our product vision. Working alongside passionate experts across design, product, and data, you'll help shape the future of how people work. We’re hiring new grad engineers to join us across several teams at Notion. Your recruiter will partner with you to find the team that best aligns with your interests and where you can make the highest impact. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE * You'll work with others to plan, shape, and build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance. For example, you might work on driving adoption, by instrumenting key onboarding moments and iterating on activation flows. * You'll help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. For example, you might update our spell checker to sync dictionaries across browsers or improve search to index file attachments. * You'll build internal tools to support simplicity and productivity for the whole team. This might include writing a script to import user feedback into Notion. QUALIFICATIONS * Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field. Must be able to start full-time prior to July 27, 2026. * Previous internship experience. * Working towards a proficiency of one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING * Impact-driven approach to technology: You see technologies as tools to achieve user impact rather than ends in themselves. You care more about building successful systems that solve real problems than about using specific tech stacks or following trends. * You stay current with the latest tools like Codex, Claude Code, and other AI-assisted development environments. You're pragmatic about choosing the right tool for the job, focusing on what delivers the most value to users. * Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution, by yourself or with teammates. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck. You think about the implications of what you're building and how it will impact real people's lives. * Own the outcome: You own your work, communicating clearly about progress and blockers. You don't wait for instructions for every step but rather show initiative in identifying what needs to be done and driving projects forward. You ask questions when needed while independently finding solutions to problems. * Team player: For you, work isn't a solo endeavor. You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals, and you care about learning, growing, and helping others to do the same. * Passion for web applications: You can work with others to build and maintain quality user interfaces for a big audience, using Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern UI framework like React. * Familiarity with backend systems: You understand how parts of a system fit together—from the user interface to the data model. Familiarity with database systems like Postgres, MySQL or MongoDB is a plus. NICE TO HAVES * You have experience with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch. * You’re a builder who finds joy in building software solutions for yourself or others. * You care about the interaction between technology and society, the ways in which they inform each other, and our responsibility as technologists to be conscious of that relationship. * You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work. Who we are About Bridge We're creating an entirely new payments platform, built with stablecoins, to simplify global money movement. Bridge enables faster, cheaper payments and borderless access to dollars via stablecoins. Through our APIs, businesses can send and receive funds across borders faster and cheaper vs. SWIFT and other fiat-only rails. Our virtual accounts enable international consumers and businesses to easily access, store, and spend US dollars. Our payouts infrastructure enables platforms to disburse USD to anyone globally. We believe many trillions of dollars will move and settle through stablecoin payment rails. Bridge is pulling this future forward. We have a small team of people who have previously built financial infrastructure at some of the world's leading companies (Coinbase, Stripe, Square, Brex, Upstart, DoorDash, Airbnb), and each and every one of them chose Bridge because they fundamentally believe that stablecoins will be a critical piece of financial infrastructure that allows for the improvement of global money movement. About the Role As an early member of the Bridge engineering team, you'll have the autonomy to work on projects that are truly global in scale and aim to give customers access to products they've never had access to. Many of the use cases that we work on today didn't exist several months ago, and that's because our team is dedicated to constant improvement for our partners and end users. Our engineers have outsized ownership over projects, so if you're looking for increased autonomy working on a completely greenfield opportunity, Bridge is the place for you. Responsibilities • Ship software to build out our suite of API products. We're an engineering and API-first company, and you'll learn first-hand and contribute towards building highly reliable, performant, and business-critical infrastructure serving thousands of developers across the globe. • Take sole ownership of projects, oftentimes without the support of Product Management, and liaise both internally with teams like Legal and Compliance and externally with our partners and developers. • Look for constant improvements to our product offerings with the explicit goal of improving the experience for our partners and end users. • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation. • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes for the team and our broader org. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum Requirements • We're open to hiring engineers at various levels of seniority (SWE through Senior Staff), but at a minimum we're looking for somebody with 5+ years of experience. • Experience building backend systems with SQL databases. Experience with frameworks such as Rails, Django, Express, or equivalent is a bonus. • An enlarged sense of ownership and the ability to lead and influence the design and direction of our products • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • A growth mindset, constant curiosity, and fearlessness to dive into the unknown • An ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code, but also be pragmatic about moving fast • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical documentation Preferred Qualifications • Past experience working on crypto or financial products a plus, and while not required, we do look for people who are very passionate about building in this space • Experience with building API products a plus, but not required • Experience working with blockchain or distributed systems a big plus
