JOIN OUR TEAM As a Senior Demand Analyst at Westwing, you will own and continuously improve our statistical baseline forecast, ensuring a reliable and scalable foundation for demand planning across the entire portfolio. You will monitor forecast performance, analyse forecast changes, and identify opportunities to improve accuracy through enhancements to forecasting models, data, and system parameters. In close collaboration with our forecasting software provider, you will optimise statistical forecasting models, challenge existing forecasting logic, and drive sustainable improvements in baseline forecast quality. As the central expert for statistical forecasting and baseline generation, you will play a key role in advancing Westwing’s forecasting capabilities and establishing best practices for forecast model governance and continuous improvement. This position is permanent and based in Munich. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Develop the statistical baseline forecast and validate it from various sources * Interact with Commercial teams to understand and interpret the historical impact of market trends and demand drivers in order to scrub the history in preparation for a statistical baseline refresh * Monitor and optimise forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, Bias, Rolling Forecast Error), conducting root cause analysis and implementing structural improvements * Share the statistical forecast and/or the forecast range, forecast updates and underlying assumptions to the consensus demand planners * Understand and implement artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) programs that can help optimize a lean, agile, and data-driven approach. * Mentor and develop demand planning team members, building expertise in advanced forecasting techniques YOU COME WITH * A degree in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field * 6+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain analytics, managing complex, multi-SKU portfolios across regions * Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine learning forecasting methods (e.g., multivariate regression, time-series modelling), with a strong command of metrics like MAPE and forecast bias * Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of statistical methods and forecasting principles and experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights. * Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar analytical software. * Strong problem-solving skills combined with a structured and detail-oriented working style; fluent in English (additional languages is a plus) WHY WESTWING If you are looking for a place where ambition meets creativity, where ideas turn into impact fast, and where people are trusted to grow - you have found it. Overview We are looking for a Senior Demand Planner to join our Operations team and play a key role in driving an accurate and collaborative demand planning process across the business. This position is responsible for developing and executing demand plans that support the company’s commercial objectives while acting as a key link between Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, stakeholder management and a continuous improvement mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the demand planning process within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle. * Develop monthly and weekly forecasts, balancing short-term execution with longer-term planning horizons. * Build volume and value forecasts by integrating: * Sales and Commercial inputs. * Marketing plans, including new launches and discontinuations. * Historical sales and POS data. * Business consensus and market intelligence. * Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, consumption trends and forecast deviations to proactively identify risks and opportunities. * Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams, challenging assumptions when needed and ensuring forecast quality. * Communicate demand projections and business outlooks to Finance and key stakeholders. * Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, bias and overall planning performance through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. * Maintain demand planning databases, forecasting systems and statistical models. * Prepare and share demand planning reports and KPIs, including Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Customer Service, Stock-on-Hand and Business Waste metrics. * Identify gaps in demand plans and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders. * Manage demand changes within the frozen period, aligning business needs with Supply Planning requirements. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or similar). * Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience, including at least 3 years in Demand Planning. * Experience working with SAP, APO, Manugistics or similar planning tools. * Advanced Excel skills and strong data management capabilities. * Fluent professional English (C1+) and Spanish (C1+), to lead meetings and do presentations in this language. Nice to have * Additional European languages. * APICS certification. Senior Supply Planner Location: Remote US or Bradenton, FL Base Salary Rate: $87,095 – $102,465 per year Job type: Full-time position About This Role The Supply Planner ensures product availability for the Edwards & Kidde Commercial UL portfolio by developing supply plans, coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers, and optimizing inventory to support high service levels for life safety products.
