AUFGABEN Mit unserem Cloud-Operations-Team betreibst du die unternehmenseigene Business Cloud und führst durch Innovation und Weiterentwicklung neue Services ein. Neben dem stabilen Betrieb gehören auch größere Veränderungen an Services und Infrastruktur zu deinem Verantwortungsbereich.   Nach einer strukturierten Einarbeitungsphase übernimmst du Verantwortung für den Betrieb, die Weiterentwicklung und die Migration von Cloud-Systemen, einschließlich der zugehörigen Anwendungen und Services in modernen Arbeitsumgebungen. Dabei begleitest du Projekte ganzheitlich – von der Planung und Konzeption bis hin zur Umsetzung – eigenständig oder im Team. Gemeinsam mit deinen Kolleginnen und Kollegen treibst du die Entwicklung zukunftsorientierter Konzepte und Services voran. Du bringst neue Ideen ein, entwickelst diese weiter und begleitest sie bis zur Marktreife.   Dank unseres zentralen Supports kannst du dich vollständig auf den zuverlässigen Betrieb der Cloud-Systeme sowie auf deren kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung konzentrieren.   Deine Schwerpunkte   * Administration, Betrieb und kontinuierliche Optimierung unserer Cloud‑Plattformen (OpenStack / OpenShift)  * Inbetriebnahme, Wartung und Entstörung der physischen Rechenzentrums­infrastruktur (Server, Storage, Netzwerk)  * Verantwortung für das Hardware‑Lifecycle‑Management inklusive Firmware‑ und Systemupdates  * Automatisierung wiederkehrender Prozesse mittels Scripting und Infrastructure as Code (IaC)  * Analyse und Troubleshooting von Störungen über alle Ebenen hinweg – von der Hardware bis zur Container‑Plattform DAS ERWARTEN WIR * Abgeschlossene Ausbildung im IT‑Bereich (z. B. Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation  * Berufserfahrung im Rechenzentrumsbetrieb und/oder im Cloud‑Umfeld  * Fundierte Kenntnisse in OpenStack oder OpenShift sowie im Umgang mit Linux‑Systemen (RHEL, Ubuntu)  * Sicherer Umgang mit Enterprise‑Hardware (x86‑Server, Storage‑Systeme, SAN/NAS)  * Grundlegende Netzwerkkenntnisse (Switching, VLAN) sowie Erfahrung mit Backup‑Lösungen (z. B. Linux/Unix System Engineer

We are looking for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to join our Systems Operations team (8 people). This role balances the management of a robust and business-critical Linux infrastructure with the evolution toward modern Platform Engineering methodologies and automation. If you are looking for a stable position with a hybrid model, flexible working hours, and a high level of technical ownership, this project is for you. What will you do on a daily basis? * Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our internal systems platforms and database solutions. * Guarantee the operational stability of key services (storage platforms, DNS, hosting, and email services). * Drive internal process and reporting automation, exploring the use of AI Engineering to reduce manual tasks. * Participate in the team's on-call rotation (24/7) to ensure service continuity. Technical Profile & Requirements: * Languages: English is a mandatory requirement for this role (working language). * Systems: Solid experience in administering Linux infrastructure (Red Hat/CentOS/RockyLinux, Debian). * Automation: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Perl) and configuration management tools such as Ansible. * Platform Engineering: Experience with or a strong interest in modern environments utilizing Kubernetes (k8s), Terraform, and Helm. * Networking: Basic knowledge of networking and routing protocols (such as BGP). * Mindset: No fear of taking over responsibility for complex systems and troubleshooting issues autonomously. Nice to have (A plus, but not mandatory): * Previous experience with traditional Unix systems (such as Solaris). * Knowledge of German.
