Role Summary

Job Responsibilities

Support rehabilitation and return-to-work processes through clinical expertise and effective stakeholder management.
Conduct occupational health consultations and assessments with employees.
Deliver high-quality support and advice through telephone and call centre services.
Participate in daytime emergency response activities and provide crisis intervention support during critical incidents.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, offering guidance on occupational health and employee wellbeing matters.
Plan, develop, and deliver training sessions, workshops, and presentations related to occupational health.
Conduct pre-employment medical assessments, health surveillance, and statutory medical examinations.
Lead and contribute to internal projects focused on service development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
We are looking for a Registered Occupational Nurse or a Registered Nurse with experience in occupational health services who is passionate about promoting health, well-being, and preventive care in the workplace.
As a person, you are proactive, relationship-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality support and guidance. You enjoy working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
A valid nursing qualification and registration as an Occupational Nurse or Registered Nurse
Experience in occupational health services or a strong interest in workplace health and well-being
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and establish positive relationships
A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and take initiative
A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and service improvement
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Good digital literacy and confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications

Scania Occupational Health Provider is an internal support organization and forms part of Scania’s global HSE organization (Health, Safety & Environment). The service consists of four multidisciplinary teams of occupational health nurses, occupational physicians, and psychologists operating in Södertälje, Oskarshamn, and Luleå. You will become part of one of the teams in Södertälje and will also work closely with ergonomists and work environment engineers to support our customers.

Occupational Nurse Port Wentworth, GA Pay Rate: 85,500 to 104,500 Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Category: Salary Full-Time About The Role: This position directly supports Port Wentworth Mill. Normal working hours will be business hours Monday-Friday (7:00am – 3:30pm). This facility has continuous operations and runs 24/7, so there will be occasional after-hour and weekend calls. Additionally, during the mill’s annual outage, this position will be expected to work 12-hour shifts for approximately two weeks, depending on the duration of the outage. * Report to and take direction from the Mill Health & Safety Manger and Corporate Nurse * Provide direct medical care to employees and mill personnel * Work with Emergency Response Team to train/develop ERT skills and improve responses to injuries * Maintain medical equipment, medicine, inventory and supplies * Dispense over-the-counter medication and safety items as needed * Manage/Administer medical surveillance tests/services for employees * Maintain, per company specifications, up-to-date medical records of all employees * Administer Worker’s Compensation duties including accompanying employees to medical visits * Coordinate Care with Attending Physician(s), W/C Adjusters and Case Managers * Strive to enhance wellness of all employees while reducing on-the-job illness and injuries * Manage Health-related Safety Programs.
