Test Center Manager

About the role
As Test Center Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and development of our testing laboratory. You will lead a team of Test Engineers and Technicians and ensure that our testing operations deliver accurate, reliable, and timely results to support product development and customer projects.
This is a key leadership role where you will combine strategic planning with operational excellence, continuously developing our laboratory capabilities, equipment, and people.
Reporting to the Advanced Engineering Director, you will collaborate closely with R&D, Project Management, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders across the organization.
Your responsibilities
Lead and develop the daily operations of the Test Center.
Plan and prioritize testing activities to meet project requirements and business objectives.
Ensure testing is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and internal procedures.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers and Technicians.
Ensure accurate reporting and high quality of all laboratory results.
Drive the development, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of test benches and laboratory equipment.
Oversee the Test Center budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
Manage external laboratories and ensure quality, certification, and technical alignment when testing is outsourced.
Your profile
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to inspire, develop, and engage others.
You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can influence both strategy and daily operations, while building a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
A Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
At least 10 years of experience in testing automotive cooling components or similar automotive systems.
A minimum of 5 years' experience leading teams, managing budgets, and driving operational performance.
Good knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and management systems including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
