Bridge between business and tech, work closely with teams to understand needs and translate them into streamlined AI supported workflows
Improve and automate IT operations and infrastructure (e.g. onboarding, access management, Entra ID) while enabling teams to become more AI driven through guidance and knowledge sharing.
So, who are you?
You’re someone with a technical background who thrives in an environment where things are still taking shape. You’re curious about AI, optimistic about its potential, and motivated by turning ideas into real, usable solutions. We also see that you're proactive, hands on and comfortable working in an evolving environment. you take initiatives, identify and drive things forward.
Are a business oriented engineer who undersands how technology (especially AI and infrastructure) creates real impact and value across organisation
Have solid background in cloud/infrastructure with a good understanding of the IT landscape
Have been involved in AI related initiatives or projects

At Enginzyme, we’re pioneering biomanufacturing by combining the power of enzymes, process engineering, and an automated smart lab. We are seeking an IT & Software Engineer to join our team with a 50/50 split in maintaining our IT infrastructure and developing the software that powers our smart lab and data pipelines. The role has a natural home in two parts of the company. On the IT side, you'll work closely with Operations, keeping our systems secure, reliable, and fit for purpose. On the software side, you'll be embedded in R&D, building the smart lab and tools that turn operational data into insight researchers can act on. We've deliberately built a lean, largely self-hosted IT system with minimal reliance on cloud and SaaS. It's a considered choice as we value the control, simplicity, and predictability it gives us. We're looking for someone who'll appreciate working within that framework rather than an over-reliance on external tools. You will work closely with colleagues in biochemistry, process engineering, lab automation, and operations in a collaborative environment. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems across the whole stack. From provisioning hardware and managing networks to designing clean, dependable data pipelines. If you want to use your expertise in tech to help the global transition toward sustainable, bio-based solutions, this is your next challenge. Note: the role is situated on site at our office in Solna, Stockholm and a valid Swedish work permit is required. If this describes you, you will be an excellent fit for our team. We understand that you might not feel like you 'check all the boxes' as you read this job description. At Stegra, we’re building an impact-driven, sustainable company - and we need a diverse, inclusive team to make it happen. If you share our passion but don’t meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the perfect fit for this role, or another as we grow. At Stegra, we’re not just building a plant, we’re proving that sustainable industry is possible. And to do that, we need people like you. Join a team where safety comes first. Where we support each other, learn as we go, and make space for everyone to grow and contribute. This is your chance to be part of something big - while being closer to nature and leading a balanced, purposeful life. What you’ll do We are building a next-generation steel plant - and data is a core part of how we operate, optimize, and scale. We believe the best data solutions are created close to the business, by teams who understand both the context and the technology. We are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Digital Domain supporting Finance and HR. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology - helping shape how data is modeled, shared, and used to drive decisions across the organization. You will be part of a cross-functional team where business experts, analysts, and developers collaborate closely. Together, you will build data products that are reliable, understandable, and designed to be reused across the company - not just for a single use case. At the same time, you will contribute to how we build our data platform and ways of working. We aim to continuously evolve - adapting to new technologies, improving how we design data, and staying aligned with modern best practices. You will also take a leading role in facilitating the data platform roadmap - aligning needs across domains, shaping priorities, and ensuring progress on key initiatives. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and products that enable Finance and HR to make reliable, data-driven decisions Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate needs into scalable data models and solutions Help structure and expose data so it is consistent, understandable, and reusable across domains · Take an active role in improving how we work with data across teams - leading and driving improvements to platform capabilities, standards, and patterns Enable self-service use of data by making it accessible and usable beyond engineering teams Make thoughtful trade-offs in how data is designed and delivered - balancing batch vs near-real-time, handling historical data, and shaping metrics and semantics for usability Define and promote best practices for data quality, testing, documentation, and access control Explore how modern tooling, including AI-assisted development, can improve how we build, test, and maintain data products Support and coach colleagues in modern data engineering practices What you’ll bring You enjoy solving real problems and are motivated by building data solutions that are actually used. You are curious about how data platforms should be designed — and how those designs need to evolve as technology and business needs change. We believe you bring many of the following: Several years of experience in data engineering or modern data platform development Experience building end-to-end data solutions (ingestion, storage, transformation, consumption) Interest in contributing beyond your immediate team — shaping shared ways of working, standards, and platform capabilities Strong SQL skills and experience modeling data for analytical use Experience with cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure-as-code Knowledge of engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing, and code review Ability to make sound technical decisions without being tied to specific tools or vendors Interest in areas such as self-service analytics, semantic modeling, temporal data, and data governance Experience working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, or operational teams Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions clearly Nice to have: Experience with, or interest in, industrial/operational (OT) data and how data from physical processes can be used for analytics and optimization Benefits at Stegra At Stegra, you’ll join a company where your work has real impact on the climate, the industry, and future generations. We’re building a culture rooted in safety, trust, and inclusion, where people feel supported to grow and thrive. Here’s what makes this role unique: Breadth, not silos: You’ll work across multiple technical areas - data, architecture, infrastructure and backend - gaining deep understanding of our digital ecosystem. Ownership from day one: You’ll support a specific domain and act as a bridge between operations and tech, and drive solutions all the way from need to implementation and iteration. Close to the action: You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, understand their workflows, and ensure your digital solutions create real value in their day-to-day operations.
