And now, we're on a quest to find a Design Engineer.  Let us tell you about the role 📖 As a Design Engineer at Nextory, you’ll be working at the intersection of design and engineering, you’ll help turn ideas into fast, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable experiences. Together with our six product designers, product managers, and engineers, you’ll take ideas from rough concepts to polished features in production. Frontend development is your craft, and you care deeply about building high-quality user interfaces with thoughtful interactions, great performance, and attention to detail. You’ll have ownership throughout the entire journey, from the first sketch to the final release, caring just as much about the technical implementation as the user experience. Your story so far 👀 You thrive at the intersection of design and code. You move fast without losing your eye for detail, and you're equally energized by building tools other people use and great experiences for the users. We also believe that you have: * Strong fundamentals in modern frontend development - Vue, React or similar architecture * Experience building and extending design systems and component libraries in code, including working with Figma's developer tooling (Code Connect, Dev Mode, variables, component properties) to keep design and code in sync. * A track record of building internal tools, prototypes, and design-to-code infrastructure used by people across Nextory * Skillset to take promising prototypes from rough exploration to polished, production-quality features, owning both the technical implementation and the end result. * Good judgment on when to build for speed (a throwaway prototype) versus when to build for scale (a reusable component) A bonus if you also have experience and a keen interest in motion design. Som Software Design Engineer tillhör du gruppen “Active Systems Design”, ett tvärfunktionellt team om 9 medarbetare med utvecklare inom mjukvara, kraftsystem, klimat och elektronik. Utöver ditt närmsta team kommer du även ha kontakt med övriga R&D-organisationen som består av grupperna “Mechanical Design” och “Compliance Verification & Documentation” samt produktionen och andra funktioner på siten i Rosersberg. Arbetsuppgifter I rollen som Software Design Engineer arbetar du med utveckling av inbyggd mjukvara, från utveckling och implementation till testning enligt ett CI-baserat arbetssätt. Rollen omfattar både utveckling av nya mjukvarulösningar och kontinuerliga förbättringar av befintliga system. Utvecklingen sker framförallt i C/C++ och testning i Python och rollen fokuserar främst på MCU-/RTOS-baserade system (t.ex. för kraftsystem), och senare även inom Linux-baserade embeddedplattformar. Tjänsten innebär en kombination av både utveckling och test, där båda delarna är en naturlig del av det dagliga arbetet.  Huvudsakliga ansvarsområden: Utveckla och vidareutveckla programvara och systemarkitektur samt testa ny och uppdaterad funktionalitet. Planera, kvalitetssäkra och leverera programvarureleaser. Förvalta och vidareutveckla befintliga lösningar för att säkerställa deras långsiktiga tekniska hållbarhet. Bidra med teknisk expertis inom ditt ansvarsområde genom att genomföra tekniska utredningar, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) samt andra relevanta analyser vid behov. Planera och genomföra demos av nya och uppdaterade funktioner för berörda intressenter. Ge tekniskt stöd vid installation, driftsättning och underhåll av system. Ta fram och underhålla teknisk dokumentation för både interna och externa användare. Vi söker dig som Detta är en roll för dig med ett stort tekniskt intresse, som är självgående och tar egna initiativ för att ta dig framåt. Du har en god samarbetsförmåga och trivs i samarbete med olika funktioner och personer samt har ett strukturerat och noggrant arbetssätt. About the assignment: We are looking for a candidate to support the preparation and transformation of CAD data into high-quality visualization data. The role focuses on material assignment, data cleaning, and quality assurance to ensure visualization-ready datasets. Create technical visualization images for internal use cases and prepare structured visualization data packages for downstream stakeholders. Work will be performed using tools such as Deltagen, CATIA V5, and Adobe Photoshop, and includes collaboration in a cross-functional project environment involving internal stakeholders, market representatives, and TRATON brands.
