We are looking for talented electronics engineers to join our team. As an electronics engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electronic systems. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across a range of projects.
Your responsibilities
Designing and developing electronic systems and components
Conducting feasibility studies and prototyping
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on system integration
Testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems
Contributing to innovation and research in electronics engineering
Qualifications
Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience in electronics design, simulation, and testing methodologies
Familiarity with power or analog electronic and PCB design tools such as ALTIUM or CADENCE.
Familiarity with digital electronics and hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Previous experience from - and understanding of embedded systems, electric power technologies as well as testing and verification of software or hardware systems is meritorious.

This is a permanent employment. Due to the nature of the employment, relocation in Sweden might be considered during your tenure.

The role As Hardware Engineer, you'll own hardware development activities across the product lifecycle—from electronic design and prototyping through to product maintenance and continuous improvement. You'll have the autonomy to solve technical challenges while working closely with hardware, firmware and product specialists. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking initiative, collaborating across teams and delivering practical engineering solutions that have a real-world impact. What you'll work on Design electronic hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts, for embedded security products. Develop, build and support prototypes through testing and validation. Troubleshoot returned products, identify root causes and implement hardware improvements. Manage component updates and end-of-life replacements to maintain product quality and availability. Collaborate with hardware, firmware and cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions. Contribute to continuous improvements across hardware development processes, documentation and product quality. What will help you succeed Proven experience in electronic hardware development (typically around five years). Experience using ECAD tools within a product development environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges. Experience with Altium Designer is an advantage. About the role Our client is a specialist and market leader in advanced electronic engine management systems, Vessel/Vehicle control systems and Power distribution modules. Ytsab Defence AB specializes in advanced electromagnetic launch systems and high- voltage pulsed power engineering. We are leading the development of next-generation defence capabilities through innovative, modular architectures. We are looking for a talented and driven Electronics Engineer to join our development team, where you will play a critical role in the research, design, and optimization of the core electromagnetic launch system. You will focus on the physics of multistage acceleration, power regulation, bridging theoretical models with physical experimental setups. You will work closely with international partners to integrate your designs with advanced switching systems, capacitor banks, and thermal management architectures. As an Electronics Engineer at Ytsab Defence, you will: Design, test, and integrate advanced electronic systems for electromagnetic weapons. Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to develop complete system solutions. Develop PCBs, high-speed switching circuits, and power electronics. Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic components. Contribute to R&D activities and new product development from concept to prototype. We’re Looking For A degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering (BSc, MSc, or equivalent). Solid experience in analogue and digital circuit design. Experience with power electronics, high current systems, or pulse power is a big plus. PCB design experience (Altium Designer or similar). Familiarity with embedded systems or microcontrollers is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environment.
