As an Engineering Manager at Nextory, you’ll lead our Join Team – the talented group shaping the web experience at the very beginning of the customer journey with us. You’ll play a key role in inspiring potential readers to take their first step into the world of Nextory, combining technical leadership with people development to create seamless, engaging and high-performing digital experiences.
Managing and empowering a team of five engineers to grow, collaborate, and deliver impact.
Ensuring technical excellence and delivery quality in close collaboration with product and design.
Driving transparency, collaboration, and innovation across teams.

You have a solid background as a software engineer and several years of experience leading developers in a fast-moving digital environment. You take pride in building teams that consistently deliver results, and have fun doing it. We believe you thrive on creating an environment where people grow, perform at their best and turn great ideas into measurable results.
Bring experience from full-stack environments, with a true passion for frontend development.
Feel confident working with JavaScript and TypeScript with a Java backend.
Understand how to build high-performing web applications, CI/CD pipelines and smart SEO practices
Have a track record of improving customer onboarding journeys and turning insights into great user experiences.

Ditt uppdrag Som Engineering Manager på Winassist ansvarar du för både människor och teknik i vårt Coreteam. Rollen är tydligt ledarfokuserad med fullt personalansvar, där du skapar struktur, riktning och trygghet för teamet. Tillsammans med Tech Lead säkerställer du att den tekniska riktningen får genomslag i teamets leverans, i vår molnresa och tekniska modernisering. Du fungerar som en nära och coachande chef för utvecklarna och stöttar CTO i ledarskapet. Rollen säkerställer att tekniska beslut omsätts i leverans, i nära samarbete med Tech Lead. CTO äger den övergripande tekniska strategin. Mycket är redan påbörjat, ditt uppdrag är att vidareutveckla arbetssätt, skapa stabilitet och se till att teknik, människor och leverans hänger ihop på ett hållbart sätt. Rollen är i första hand en ledarroll med fokus på människor, struktur och leverans. Du kommer bland annat att: Leda ett team om initialt 9 utvecklare, där 3 är konsulter. Leda, coacha och utveckla teamet både individuellt och som grupp. Bidra till team‑ och organisationsutveckling genom att utvärdera kompetens och arbetssätt. Arbeta nära Tech Lead för att säkerställa att den tekniska riktningen får genomslag i teamets leverans. Agera stöd till Tech Lead i ledningen av teamet genom att säkerställa tydliga uppgifter, realistisk tidsplanering och balanserade prioriteringar. Ihop med Tech Lead identifiera risker och beroenden samt säkerställa att tekniska beslut kring arkitektur och arbetssätt omsätts i teamets leverans. Samarbeta nära produkt och QA. Om dig: Vi söker dig som brinner för att utveckla människor och team, utan att tappa respekten för teknikens betydelse. Du är trygg i ledarrollen, strukturerad i ditt arbetssätt och bekväm med att fatta beslut även när allt inte är helt färdigdefinierat. Vi tror att du har: Erfarenhet av personalansvar för utvecklare, inklusive att leda team, arbeta med coachande ledarskap och ta ansvar för leverans och kvalitet. God förståelse för systemdesign och arkitektur, och förmåga att delta i och bidra till tekniska diskussioner. Erfarenhet av utveckling i molnmiljöer (GCP är meriterande). Bakgrund från SaaS-bolag eller annan produktutveckling. Bakgrund inom mjukvaruutveckling, gärna inom backend. Praktisk erfarenhet av AI i utvecklingsarbete (kod, analys, dokumentation). Meriterande: Erfarenhet av Kotlin eller Delphi. För att lyckas i rollen tror vi att du: Tar ägandeskap: Du tar ett naturligt ansvar för både teamets välmående och den tekniska leveransen. Har handlingskraft i osäkerhet: Sätter riktning, fattar beslut och driver frågor i mål även när förutsättningarna är luddiga eller föränderliga. Är en relationsbyggande lagspelare: Du är en trygg brygga mellan teknik, produkt och QA, och ser samarbete som nyckeln till framgång. About the role As an Engineering Manager at Qred, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our organizational design, people management, and way of working. You'll be acting as one of two Engineering Manager in our Revenue Domain reporting to the CTO, leading and supporting two development teams with one Tech Lead per team. Your focus will be to ensure alignment with our methodologies, foster collaboration, and lead a group of talented engineers. This role calls for a visionary leader with a technical background and a passion for building high-performing teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Key Responsibilities People Management: Oversee performance & staff management of our engineering teams consisting of ~10 engineers. You will support and grow a group of already very talented people. Efficient Way of Working: Champion methodologies like Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, and DevOps. Drive and align our Qred Engineering Maturity Model (QEMM) to enhance the efficiency of our processes. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work: Foster strong collaboration between Engineering, Product Management, and UX Design to deliver a seamless product experience. Organizational Design: Define team structures, optimize resource allocation, and match personalities to ensure scalability and productivity as we expand in Europe. Recruitment and Retention: Lead the recruitment strategy for the domain, attracting top talent and building a world-class team. Enable Qred: You will have tight collaboration with the CTO, Architects, Product Managers and Chief Revenue Officer to make sure we take decisions that are in line with Qred’s growth strategy. Requirements A passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent. A technical background with broad full-stack experience; preferred language is Javascript (Node.js / React / React Native). While we don't expect you to code, you must understand the challenges of a Serverless-first and Event-driven architecture. Minimum two years of experience in a Head of Engineering or five years of experience in a Engineering Manager role in a sizable organization, preferably in a domain-structured organization. A university engineering degree. Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software development principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across functions. An office-first approach: You enjoy meeting your department and getting to know the people. We believe in non-formal meetings and chats, which is why you’ll be based in our Stockholm HQ. Experience with Claude code for automating tasks and streamline agentic way of working. We expect you to have good technical understanding and a strong interest. We highly value AI-SDLC: If you have previously implemented an AI-SDLC / agentic way of working it’d be really valuable to us. Why join us?
