As a Fraud Analyst, you will work at the intersection of data science, risk, and real-time decisioning. You will develop, test, and optimize fraud detection models across lending, cards, and payments. Your analyses will directly influence risk appetite, customer experience, and portfolio performance.
Analyze large, complex datasets to detect fraud patterns and emerging attack vectors
Develop and maintain fraud models, rules, and monitoring frameworks
Build dashboards and reporting that translate risk signals into actionable insight
Partner closely with Fraud Prevention, Credit Underwriting, IT, and Data Engineering
Continuously improve automation, decision engines, and model performance
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where your work directly impacts loss rates, approval rates, and customer trust.
Who you are
5+ years’ experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative risk roles within a bank, fintech or related industry
Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and model validation
Advanced SQL and Python (R is a plus)
Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAS)
Comfortable working with large datasets and production-grade decision systems
Able to translate complex analysis into clear, business-driven recommendations
Experience in financial fraud prevention or fraud risk management is highly meriting

The role of a Solutions Engineer (PreSales) encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, starting with understanding a customer’s unique requirements and environment. You’ll translate these into tailored solution architectures that incorporate Neo4j’s advanced graph technology, guiding stakeholders throughout the sales cycle. Daily work includes demonstrating Neo4j’s capabilities, whiteboarding solution designs, and engaging with technical decision-makers to align solutions with their strategic priorities. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technology, combining technical strength with the ability to articulate clear value and outcomes. The role is based in Stockholm, where we enjoy a beautiful, modern office space. We trust our team to manage their own time, so working from home is fully supported. However, because building strong relationships is core to what we do, you will need to be available in person for occasional customer meetings. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as a central player in Neo4j PreSales engagements, supporting customers across the entire customer lifecycle — from early discovery to architecture design, proof-of-value, and long-term adoption. * Build and nurture strong relationships with strategic and enterprise customer teams. * Partner closely with Account Executives to communicate the technical and business impact of graph solutions. * Ensure strong technical alignment and smooth integration of Neo4j into customer environments. * Provide architectural recommendations aligned with customer strategies and IT landscapes. * Design and present Neo4j-based prototypes that demonstrate both technical feasibility and business value. KEY ROLE CHARACTERISTICS * Experience: At least 5 years in PreSales / Solutions Engineering or Professional Services, ideally with enterprise customers in High-Tech, Energy, Telecom, Financial Services, or Public Sector. * Data Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of data platforms, particularly databases. * Solution Design: Ability to translate business requirements into effective solution architectures. * Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with a programming or scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). * Consultative Skills: Proven experience guiding technical teams through complex, consultative engagements. * Adaptability: Strong desire to learn and quickly adopt emerging technologies. * Problem-Solving: Passion for tackling complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. * Enablement: Ability to lead technical workshops and small-group sessions. * Sales Alignment: Comfortable managing the technical aspects of enterprise sales cycles. * Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally. * Languages: Fluency in both Swedish and English is required. About the Role We are looking for dedicated Anti-Fraud Engineer who is focused on combating fraud to come join our team. In this role you will help drive efforts in fraud prevention / detection and limit the impact of fraud such as AIT (Artificially Inflated Traffic) and phishing. This is achieved through deep analysis, troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuration of our products / tools. It is important that we are constantly looking for new fraud trends, with this in mind it’s important that you are you analytical in your thinking and identify solutions for the problem(s). The role requires you to think outside the box to challenge the ways we are working and automate routines as much as possible. The Anti-Fraud & Quality team has members located globally. We believe in teamwork and this challenge will require good communication skills not only within the team, but across other teams as well as other product lines. As an Anti Fraud Engineer, you will: Monitor and prevent fraud proactively across systems, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time. Develop and enhance fraud detection techniques, leveraging both existing and innovative tools to mitigate fraud risks. Document fraud detection processes and procedures to ensure consistency and maintain comprehensive records for compliance and operational purposes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, security, and product) to provide support and guidance on fraud-related issues and best practices. Assist Account Managers by providing expertise in fraud prevention, ensuring that clients understand and implement effective anti-fraud measures. In order to be successfule for this role, we believe you have: Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in telecommunications and/or messaging systems, with a strong understanding of their fraud-related vulnerabilities. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from large datasets. Experience in report building using data visualization tools like Tableau or similar platforms. Familiarity with application monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau) for tracking system performance and identifying anomalies. The Merchant Fraud Team is responsible for detecting and mitigating fraudulent activity that scalably reduces risk for Adyen and its customers. What you’ll do * As part of our growing Merchant Fraud team in Chicago you are pro-active and hands-on in improving our fraud operations processes * Monitor and investigate transaction patterns, account activities, and user behavior patterns to detect and mitigate fraudulent activities in real-time * Assist in the development and optimization of fraud detection systems and tools, suggesting improvements and enhancements as needed * Develop and optimize policies and procedures for fraud incident response, root cause analysis, funds recovery and communication protocols * Stay up-to-date with the latest fraud trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously enhance fraud detection and prevention methods Who you are * 1-3 years of experience in fraud at a financial institution – experience in an issuing bank, PSP, or other fintech platform is a plus * Knowledge of the payments ecosystem, issuing and acquiring, and the fraud types impacting mainly issuers (e.g., chargeback fraud, scams, account takeover) * Highly analytical and data-apt; proficient in using data to identify emerging trends, drive investigations, and suggest improvements to fraud operations policies and tooling * Experience with fraud prevention, fraud detection, fraud investigations and fraud remediation in the banking sector * Willingness to make difficult decisions and quickly learn and iterate from these experiences - you are skilled at using data to drive decisions * You are able to work both on your own and with others, taking ownership where your knowledge is needed.
