We are looking for an experienced E-commerce & Marketplace Consultant to lead the development of a scalable online sales setup for a portfolio of licensed consumer brands.
In this hands-on assignment, you will define and implement a structured marketplace strategy that enables external partners to sell products while ensuring strong brand governance, consistent customer experience, and secure access management.
You'll take ownership of the entire process—from strategy and business model evaluation to marketplace implementation across the US and Europe, with potential expansion into additional markets. The role may also include overseeing a small number of branded websites.
Working independently, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Brand, Digital, IT, and Commercial teams to establish sustainable processes and ensure a smooth operational handover at the end of the assignment.
Responsibilities
Assess the current online sales and marketplace landscape for licensed brands.
Identify business opportunities, risks, and improvement areas.
Develop and recommend scalable marketplace and go-to-market strategies.
Lead the implementation of marketplace stores and operational processes.
Support and onboard external partners to operate within defined brand guidelines.
Establish governance for digital assets, user access, documentation, and credentials.
Improve and oversee branded websites and digital brand presence.
Prepare documentation and handover materials to support long-term operations.
Requirements
5–10 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or brand licensing.
Strong knowledge of online marketplaces (Amazon experience is highly desirable).
Experience with the US market; knowledge of Walmart, Home Depot, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept to execution.
Experience balancing strategic planning with hands-on implementation.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience maintaining brand consistency across digital channels.
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
Degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, IT, or equivalent experience.
Fluent English is required; Swedish is an advantage.
