Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and operate microservices on a global scale.
Contribute to the definition and refinement of solutions based on MACH architecture principles.
Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software using modern engineering practices.

Applicable working experience or bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of professional experience developing and testing applications, services, or components.
Hands-on experience with end-to-end software development in microservice and cloud environments, from idea and design through build, test, deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
Strong experience with Java 21+.
Solid experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
Practical experience working with microservices and cloud-based architectures.
Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
Strong understanding of test-driven development and automated testing practices.
Experience writing unit, component, integration, and performance tests.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and continuous deployment.
A strong focus on code quality, maintainability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Nice to Have
Experience working in MACH-based or composable architecture environments.
Experience with API-first design and distributed systems.
Familiarity with observability tools, logging, tracing, and production monitoring.
Experience mentoring other engineers or contributing to engineering standards across teams.

About the role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) for backend works in our product engineering team with systems / services development for the Qbtech platform. Primary implementation languages are Java & Kotlin. The main focus of the work is coding (development) but an SSE works with the entire software delivery lifecycle. The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden and will report to Engineering Manager. There is no possibility of a complete remote role. This is Hybrid with at least 3 days a week from office. Essential Duties and responsibilities Qbtech’s development of products and services are controlled by Qbtech Quality Management Systems, international standards and certificates as well as specific laws. In accordance with those, essential duties and responsibilities are: Develop and document new product features & stories. Code reviews for peers. Maintain and improve legacy code. Manage DevOps and cloud infrastructure provisioning. Manage software deployment. Troubleshooting/investigation of incidents and bug fixing.
