What your team does
Your team, Web & App, is developing the products where our merchants' consumers can follow their purchases. This self-organized, autonomous team has full ownership for taking features from discovery to operating them in production. The team is fullstack, but spends most of its time developing front end features.

Claude Code
Build and ship features end to end together with your team, from discovery through to running them in production. Write high-quality, well-tested code across the stack, and take part in decisions on how the team designs and maintains its solutions. Use Claude Code and other AI tools as part of your daily workflow to move faster without cutting corners on quality. Help break down tasks and estimate effort together with your teammates and Tech Lead. Make sure your work follows Qliro's guidelines and meets regulatory and security standards. Take part in code reviews, pairing and knowledge-sharing to help raise the bar for the team, and bring your own perspective to technical discussions on architecture and ways of working.
👩💻 You are proficient in React/React Native, and comfortable picking up other parts of the stack such as .NET, AWS and Terraform 🚀 You have practical experience working with agile engineering methods, combined with a solid understanding of software engineering best practices 🤖 You're curious about or already experienced with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, and want to use them to work smarter 🚦 You have some experience with, or a strong interest in, setting up and maintaining release pipelines for React Native ☁️ Experience with cloud technologies, we use AWS 🆎 Experience with experimentation and A/B testing is a plus

We need exceptional engineers to help us get there. We're looking for a Staff Engineer who can bridge the gap between ambitious business goals and technical execution. Someone who identifies opportunities, builds the right solutions, and raises the bar for everyone around them. The role You will be embedded in one of our Consumer teams, the part of Instabee that sits closest to real users and real deliveries. This is a hands-on role where you will spend most of your time building, not reviewing architectural slide decks. Your job is ensuring we're building the right things, in the right way, at the right scale. Aside from the work within the team, you will be part of a community of Staff Engineers working on cross-organisation projects and challenges. You'll help translate business ambition into engineering execution, surface hard problems before they become expensive ones, and actively drive the engineering culture at Instabee by raising the bar, sharing knowledge, and making the organisation better at building software. What you'll do Ship things users notice Identify and build features that move the needle on user satisfaction. You'll own problems from idea to production, together with your team. Keep the team unblocked Spot friction before it becomes a bottleneck. That might mean improving test setup, fixing a flaky deploy pipeline, or untangling a service boundary that's slowing everyone down. Make technical trade-offs explicit Help the team choose solutions that are good enough now and don't paint us into a corner later. Scale and velocity both matter, and your job is to hold both at once. Connect code to outcomes Help engineers understand why what they're building matters. Work with Product and Data to make sure our systems produce the signals we need to make good decisions. YOUR MISSION AT VOI As an Engineering Manager at Voi, you will lead and grow a cross-functional product team while staying close to the code. This role is ideal for a strong technical lead ready to take a first step into people management – someone who wants to shape team culture, support engineers’ growth, and drive delivery without leaving their technical roots behind. The Monetisation team owns Voi’s core payment flows, subscriptions, upsell and in-app advertising. The technical scope spans core backend systems, payment integrations, native mobile client views and more. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into leadership while having a tangible impact on the micromobility industry. Be a present, hands-on leader for a team of 4–5 engineers: run 1:1s, support growth and create a safe, collaborative environment where people do their best work. Partner closely with the Product Manager and Designer to align on priorities, shape the roadmap and drive high-quality delivery. Lead by doing: write code, review PRs and engage deeply in technical decisions across backend, web and mobile. Champion engineering excellence by guiding architectural decisions, fostering good development practices and promoting continuous improvement – enabling sustainably rapid delivery in a complex micromobility business. Coach and develop engineers through feedback, mentorship and clear expectations – with support from us if this is your first formal people management role. Lead the team in adopting agentic engineering practices: actively use and encourage AI-assisted development and help engineers build the habits and judgement to get the most out of these tools. WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK You are a hands-on, collaborative engineer with a passion for both technology and people. You enjoy working across domains, take ownership of delivery and are curious about how AI can elevate the way teams build software. 4+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer in modern tech stacks, building reliable software in a fast-paced environment. A generalist mindset with experience in backend, web and/or mobile development. 2+ years of experience in a tech lead, senior or informal leadership capacity – you have guided others technically, even if you have not held a management title. No prior people management experience required – this is a growth area we will support you in. Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (for example modern code assistants) and a genuine interest in agentic engineering workflows. You lean into these tools and help your team build the skillset to use them effectively.
