You'll be joining Mentimeter's Strategic Accounts team - a sales team working with our most complex, high-value enterprise customers. You'll sit alongside Key Account Managers and Customer Success Managers, acting as their technical partner in deals, renewals, and expansions. When an enterprise IT team needs convincing, when a security review is holding up a contract, or when a customer's technical setup isn't working for them - that's when you step in.
You'll be the first person in this role across EMEA, which means you'll have real scope to shape how we do Sales Engineering in Strategic Accounts. There's no predefined playbook. If you need one, this probably isn't the right role. But if you're energised by building something from scratch, it's a rare opportunity.
What you'll do
Partner with Strategic Key Account Managers in enterprise deals - owning the technical dimension of commercial conversations and helping move things forward when security, IT, or procurement are in the room
Lead enterprise onboarding and setup for our most important customers: SSO, SCIM, domain control, workspace architecture, and integrations
Engage directly with senior IT and security stakeholders, earning their confidence and translating their requirements into workable solutions
Spot and resolve the technical blockers that slow down adoption, expansion, or renewal - before they become a problem
Help the account team understand the commercial implications of technical decisions, not just the technical ones
Feed patterns and recurring challenges back to our Product department in a structured way that actually influences the roadmap
Raise the technical floor of the wider sales organisation through documentation and informal coaching
Who you are
You've spent 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role at a SaaS company - Solutions Consulting, Pre-sales, Implementation Consulting, or similar
You understand enterprise IT environments well enough to hold a credible conversation: identity providers, SSO, SCIM, security reviews, and how large organisations actually make decisions
You have a commercial mindset - you understand that how Mentimeter is set up has direct implications for account health, expansion, and retention, and you think in those terms
You thrive in a sales environment. You enjoy the pace, the commercial focus, and being a part of retaining and growing deals
You're highly self-directed. You don't need a manager to tell you what to do next - you read the situation and act
You communicate clearly across audiences: technically credible with IT teams, business-relevant with executives, collaborative with your sales colleagues
Professional-level English is a must; additional languages are a bonus

In this role, you will work with our customers on various data engineering projects. This role is perfect for those with a good foundation in data engineering, and a passion for operational excellence in data management and analytics. You will design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines and work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver customized data solutions that drive impactful business decisions. Develop and manage scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable data flows. Implement processes and solutions to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency. Create scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual work. Build and maintain data integrations, including file, messaging, and API-based systems. Develop data models tailored to meet business requirements. Contribute to implementing infrastructure as code solutions. Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and software developers to support the creation of data architecture and governance models. Enhance the performance of existing data pipelines, optimizing queries and indexing for faster data retrieval. Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation and data lineage. Monitor cost efficiency and identify areas for optimization. You are passionate about building data products and enabling data-driven decisions. You enjoy sharing knowledge and learning new things in the data, analytics & AI area. You want to develop and maintain robust, scalable data and analytics systems. You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Fluent in English both written and verbal. You are eager to learn and have a basic understanding of working with data sets You are gaining experience with ETL workflows and excited to improve your skills in streamlining these processes. You have a foundational knowledge of big data concepts, cloud technologies, and data modeling. Your skills in SQL and Python are strong, with a focus on writing efficient queries. The role of a Solutions Engineer (PreSales) encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, starting with understanding a customer’s unique requirements and environment. You’ll translate these into tailored solution architectures that incorporate Neo4j’s advanced graph technology, guiding stakeholders throughout the sales cycle. Daily work includes demonstrating Neo4j’s capabilities, whiteboarding solution designs, and engaging with technical decision-makers to align solutions with their strategic priorities. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technology, combining technical strength with the ability to articulate clear value and outcomes. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as a central player in Neo4j PreSales engagements, supporting customers across the entire customer lifecycle — from early discovery to architecture design, proof-of-value, and long-term adoption. * Build and nurture strong relationships with strategic and enterprise customer teams. * Partner closely with Account Executives to communicate the technical and business impact of graph solutions. * Ensure strong technical alignment and smooth integration of Neo4j into customer environments. * Provide architectural recommendations aligned with customer strategies and IT landscapes. * Design and present Neo4j-based prototypes that demonstrate both technical feasibility and business value. KEY ROLE CHARACTERISTICS * Experience: At least 5 years in PreSales / Solutions Engineering or Professional Services, ideally with enterprise customers in High-Tech, Energy, Telecom, Financial Services, or Public Sector. * Database Expertise: Strong understanding of database platforms, particularly NoSQL. * Solution Design: Ability to translate business requirements into effective solution architectures. * Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with a programming or scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). * Consultative Skills: Proven experience guiding technical teams through complex, consultative engagements. * Adaptability: Strong desire to learn and quickly adopt emerging technologies. * Problem-Solving: Passion for tackling complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. * Enablement: Ability to lead technical workshops and small-group sessions. * Sales Alignment: Comfortable managing the technical aspects of enterprise sales cycles. * Travel Readiness: Willing to travel within Benelux. * Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus. About the role We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in our Acquisition organization.
