Description Position at Community Options New York Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to

individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are accepting applications from undergraduate students interested in internship

opportunities! All interns will work with experienced managers and receive in-depth training in the field. Please contact a

Community Options office in your area if you are interested in working with people with disabilities. The ideal candidate is

highly organized, creative, and eager to learn. This internship will provide a basis in Health and Human Services, including

public relations, training, fundraising, social media, recruitment, communications, and person-centered supports. We offer a

Gilead Community Services is seeking a responsible and experienced Second Shift Supervisor to join our Community Transitional Residence (CTR) program. About the position: The Second Shift Supervisor for Gilead’s Meriden adult program works 40 hours: Monday-Friday 3p-11p with flexibility required providing second shift administrative and clinical oversight of the Community Transitional Residence (CTR) program. This is a 3-bed transitional program that is designed to provide clinical treatment and functional skills training tailored to the needs of adults with intellectual disabilities that are co-occurring with mental health and/or addiction treatment needs. The Second Shift Supervisor works in close consultation with the Program Director to ensure that the program produces high quality, recovery-oriented services to all clients, in accordance with agency standards. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field with 3 years’ supervisory experience required, or Master’s Degree with 2 years’ experience. * Prior administrative and clinical experience in the field of mental health and developmental disabilities. Experience with addictions preferred. * Ability to manage under stressful or crisis situations. Ability to problem solve. Ability to meet deadlines and establish and prioritize multiple tasks. * Ability to travel to various agencies, businesses, institutions, and meet with clients in their homes, if needed. * Able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends when necessary. Ensures program compliance through the timely and accurate reporting of data both internally and externally as needed. * Consults with the Residential Program Director, Psychiatrist, Clinician, Behavioral Specialist, Nurse and other team members regarding medical and mental health needs regarding risk management. * Responds to after-hours calls, for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed on a rotating on-call basis. * Provides support in hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and, if needed, discipline of subordinate employees of the program in accordance with agency personnel policies. * Oversees the employee schedules, time off requests, and daily workflow management of the program.
