We are looking for an experienced System Test Engineer
What You Will Work On
Develop, maintain, and improve automated test methods for HIL environments
Design and execute automated test cases using Python and Pytest
Work with NI Veristand and Vector CANalyzer for system verification
Analyze and review system and software requirements to define effective test strategies
Create and maintain test plans, test specifications, and test reports
Continuously improve test automation, coverage, and testing efficiency
Support software releases for Material Handling and Drilling machine platforms
Identify, analyze, document, and report software defects
Perform verification and validation of embedded systems
Work with plant simulation models for mechanics, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Collaborate closely with software developers, system engineers, and cross-functional teams
Ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle
What You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
2–5 years of experience in system testing, software verification, or validation
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience with automated testing and test frameworks such as Pytest
Experience working with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments
Experience with product development, verification, and validation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong focus on software quality and test methodologies
Experience reviewing technical requirements and translating them into test cases
Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Assignment Description We are looking for an Automation & Electrical Engineer What You Will Work On Develop automation solutions for packaging equipment and industrial systems. Design, program, test, and commission PLC-based control systems. Develop, modify, and maintain HMI applications and automation software. Design and maintain automation databases supporting machine functionality. Perform system analysis and develop technical solutions based on project requirements. Participate throughout the automation development lifecycle, including documentation, development, testing, and commissioning. Work closely with a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver complete automation solutions. Ensure automation systems meet functional, quality, and performance requirements. Support ongoing troubleshooting and technical problem resolution. Provide automation support and training for customer personnel when required. Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to optimize system functionality. Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes and engineering practices. What You Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with the complete automation engineering process, including documentation, development, testing, and commissioning. Hands-on experience with PLC programming. Knowledge of industrial automation systems and control engineering. Experience developing and modifying HMI applications. Understanding of industrial automation architecture and system integration. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related technical issues. Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments is an advantage. Experience with Rockwell automation platforms is highly desirable. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Curious mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams. Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

This role brings clear ownership and consistent engineering practices to that ecosystem: unifying the toolchain, standardising behaviour and distribution, and improving maintainability so other teams can confidently adopt, extend and enjoy using the tools. * Unifying and standardising existing tools into a coherent toolchain with consistent UX, behaviour, and quality bars. * Building and maintaining reliable CLI tooling used on laptops for robot and fleet operations (configuration, access, modification, validation). * Working with partner teams to deliver web UI tooling where appropriate, ensuring consistent workflows and shared interfaces. * Establishing and improving packaging and distribution practices (e.g., Docker, GitHub Releases) * Improving maintainability through testing, CI/CD, versioning, and clear deprecation/migration paths for legacy tools. * Strong software engineering fundamentals, with a focus on reliability, usability, and long-term maintainability. * Comfortable with Linux based systems and capable of working in the command line. * Experience building internal tooling for operational workflows (commissioning, deployment, servicing, test/validation, or similar). * Very good version control experience with Git * Proficiency in Python and/or Go, and comfort working across a multi-language codebase (Python/Go/C++). * Experience distributing and operating internal tools (packaging, dependency management, release workflows), ideally including Docker and GitHub Releases. * Ability to write clear documentation and specifications so tools can be adopted and used effectively across teams and stakeholders. * Strong debugging/problem-solving skills across tooling, systems, and hardware-adjacent workflows.
