Job Description The client is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the validation and verification of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and vehicle-integrated technologies. This role involves hands-on testing of advanced safety and automated driving features, ensuring functionality, performance, and compliance with automotive standards and customer expectations. The successful consultant will be responsible for executing vehicle-level testing activities, supporting software and hardware integration, analyzing test outcomes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies. The position requires extensive collaboration with development teams, vehicle integration specialists, and engineering stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technologies, including collision avoidance systems, lane support functions, blind spot monitoring, and other intelligent driver assistance solutions.
Key Responsibilities Evaluate, optimize, and standardize testing methodologies, validation processes, and quality assurance practices. Conduct testing and performance assessments of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including: Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Blind Spot Detection (BSD) Forward Collision Warning (FCW) Lane Support Systems (LSS) Other advanced vehicle safety functions Prepare and integrate vehicles with the appropriate software and hardware configurations required for testing activities. Lead vehicle-level validation activities for both Open-Loop and Closed-Loop testing environments. Perform Open-Loop testing through data collection activities on public roads and dedicated proving grounds. Execute Closed-Loop validation activities, including smoke testing, sanity checks, functional verification, NCAP-based testing, and requirements-driven assessments. Support development teams by validating new functionalities, investigating software defects, and verifying corrective actions. Carry out exploratory testing to evaluate interactions between multiple vehicle systems and ADAS features. Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings, observations, and identified issues. Document and report defects using established issue management and tracking systems. Participate in vehicle test campaigns, validation expeditions, demonstrations, and customer showcase activities. Assist with vehicle maintenance, workshop support, and garage-related operations to ensure testing readiness. Develop and maintain accurate testing documentation, procedures, and traceability records. Contribute to the definition and refinement of test requirements covering complete functional chains, sensor systems, sensor fusion technologies, and vehicle control functions.
Required Skills & Competencies Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle testing and/or ADAS component validation. Hands-on experience with ECU flashing and automotive data logging activities. Strong understanding of automotive development and testing processes, including: ASPICE ISO 26262 Functional Safety Standards Experience using issue tracking and defect management platforms such as Jira. Knowledge of vehicle integration and software/hardware validation processes. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to interpret technical specifications, test requirements, and engineering documentation. Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration skills. Self-motivated professional with strong teamwork and adaptability skills.

Employment Type Contract / Hourly-Based Assignment Experience Required Minimum 5 years of professional experience in vehicle testing, ADAS validation, automotive systems testing, or related automotive engineering disciplines. Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
