We are currently looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team at Lucky's Restaurant & Bar. What you’ll be doing: * Warmly welcome guests and escort guests promptly to their assigned dining area. * Manage the seating chart and flow of the guests in the dining area. * Provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if required. * Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and take reservations. * Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and accuracy of event signage. * Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests. * Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting. * Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies. * Thank every guest as they are leaving. * Attend daily stand-up meetings at start of shift. * Work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. * Perform any and all other tasks, which are assigned by management. What we’re looking for: * Previous experience coordinating booking, confirmation, and table allocations. * Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented individual. * Positive and outgoing personality. * Demonstrated ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/ items/products. * Previous equivalent experience in a dining room environment. * Outstanding attention to detail – both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention. * Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Must be available holidays and weekends. Whether you’re providing a flawless welcome and check in, awesome service in our restaurant and bars or just having a chat to make their stay truly unforgettable ― you are at the forefront of our guest facing operation. You know everything about our products and how to (cross-)sell these to our guests. You’ll make sure everything is spick and span in all areas and ready for the following shift;   * You’ll help our guests with any requests or demands regarding our facilities (you may even pick up some new tech skills along the way!).   Who You Are * You’re currently enrolled in a University;  * Currently studying a relevant bachelor’s in Hospitality, Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business;  * Enjoy receiving and taking responsibility and you can work independently;  * You have a flexible, hands-on, motivated and positive approach;   * You’re an octopus that loves to get your dexterity skills into action;   * You love responsibility and handle stressful peak periods like a pro;   * Fluent in English and Dutch – Know any other languages?
