This role is heavily focused on customer-facing compliance activities, particularly managing and completing security and due diligence questionnaires. As a Junior Compliance Officer, you will become a subject matter expert in our product so you can confidently and accurately respond to customer security queries. You will also play a key role in supporting our internal compliance initiatives, such as maintaining ISO and SOC 2 frameworks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PRIMARY FOCUS: CUSTOMER SECURITY & COMPLIANCE QUESTIONNAIRES * Own and Manage Requests: Take full ownership of customer due diligence requests, including security questionnaires, RFPs, and vendor assessments. * Customer Point of Contact: Act as the central internal point of contact for all incoming customer compliance and security queries. * Product Expertise: Develop deep product knowledge to provide accurate, consistent, and high-quality technical responses. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to gather, validate, and update compliance information. ADDITIONAL COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES * Audit & Framework Support: Support ISO and SOC 2 audit processes, including control monitoring and evidence collection. * Documentation Maintenance: Assist in updating and maintaining internal compliance documentation, policies, and controls. * Remediation Tracking: Participate in internal audits and track outstanding remediation activities to completion. * Process Improvement: Contribute to streamlining and automating the workflow for handling customer compliance requests. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Required Qualifications & Skills: * Educational Background: Recent university graduate or early-career candidate with a strong interest in compliance, information security, risk, or audit. * Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to write structured, professional, and customer-facing responses. * Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. * Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn technical product information and translate it into clear, compliance-friendly answers. * Interest in GRC: Genuine interest in ISO 27001, SOC 2, customer due diligence, and cybersecurity. * Drive: Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment. The Electronics and Software group is a cohesive team of multi-disciplinary experts in everything to do with embedded systems and devices – whether that’s electronics, embedded software, physics, control, communications, security or algorithm design.  We’re looking for people with relevant previous experience to help widen our group’s skillset and support our junior engineers. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES  With support and guidance from your peers, you will work as part of our technical team on client assignments in multi-disciplinary projects for a wide range of markets. You may work on one or more projects at a time, in a variety of different disciplines and roles.  You will work on the design and implementation of systems for a wide range of applications and products. You will have many opportunities to develop your technical design skills for analogue and digital hardware, information engineering, embedded software, control, communications and whole product design. As a Senior Data Engineer, you are expected to deliver (across industries) on some of our most complex projects - individually or by leading small delivery teams. Although we work for the biggest multinational companies where years-long behemoth projects are the norm, our projects are fast-paced, typically 2 to 4 months long. Most are delivered using Apache Spark/Databricks on AWS/Azure and require you to directly manage the customer relationship alone or in collaboration with a Project Manager. Additionally, at this seniority level, we expect you to compound your impact across the team and the organization - by supporting our pre-sales process, mentoring more junior engineers, and contributing to hiring best-in-class data talent. What does it take to fit the bill? Technical Expertise * You (ideally) have 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); * You have a proven track record working with Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog); * You have extensive experience in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Databricks Workflows, DLT, Airflow, ADF, Glue, and Step Functions.); * You’re proficient in SQL and Python, using them to transform and optimize data like a pro; * You know your way around CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep); * You’ve hands-on experience integrating Databricks with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).  Consulting & Client-Facing Skills * Ideally, you bring a proven history in consulting, from scoping to gathering requirements, designing solutions, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
