Director to join our global team.
We are hiring a senior, network-led commercial professional to acquire new logos across the global private markets ecosystem.
While the primary focus will be on top-tier General Partners, this role also spans a broader client base including private credit
platforms, real asset managers, venture capital firms, secondaries investors, and fund-of-funds.
This is not a traditional sales role. You will operate as a strategic hunter, leveraging an existing network across private
markets to engage both economic and technical buyers including Group Financial Controllers, CFOs, Finance Directors, Heads of
Operations, Head of Compliance, Investor Relations and Finance Transformation leaders.
You will play a critical role in shaping how private markets participants across fund managers and adjacent structures, adopt
next-generation infrastructure, driving standardisation, efficiency, and liquidity across the ecosystem.

Role Overview The New Business Senior Field Sales Engineer drives Sophos’ growth by engaging and winning customers who have not previously adopted our technology. This role is specifically targeted at net‑new logo acquisition and competitive displacement. Alongside strong technical skills around the enterprise security stack, the role requires effective technical storytelling, and commercial appreciation in order to establish trust from first contact. You will work alongside the New Business sales team to develop new opportunities, build compelling technical value propositions, and guide prospects through a structured evaluation journey. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in greenfield environments and can quickly build credibility with unfamiliar stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE Some of the things you’ll be doing: * Contact, engage and manage our Small Business customers through their application process * Build and nurture working relationships with our commercial lending partners * Become confident in articulating the Funding Options proposition and service * Building on your extensive knowledge of business finance, and gaining an in-depth understanding of the wide variety of lenders and products in the market * Confidently articulating the different finance options available to customers across multiple business finance product classes * Maintaining accurate, up-to-date information on any prospects that you speak with (in Salesforce) * Monitoring and identify trends whilst adding new or enhanced customer profile information into Salesforce * Keeping up to date on industry trends, market & competition * Actively share stories and successes to the wider organisation through relevant comms channels WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Finance Specialist (Senior Commercial Finance Broker) to join our Sales Team and help as many customers as possible access the right finance, through effective conversations - Taking the time to understand about the businesses you engage with (how they work, growth plans, challenges, their experience of finance so far) and understanding customers’ finance needs and effectively matching them to the best product and lender that meets their need, giving every customer a 5 Star experience whether successful or not, through our sheer professionalism and mind-blowing standard of customer service. As this is a senior position within our sales team, we are looking for somebody experienced in this space with a demonstrable track record of success who will be able to hit the ground running.
