ELEKS Business Analysis Office is looking for a Solution Business Analyst in the United Kingdom.
Choosing to work as a dedicated pre-sales Business Analyst at ELEKS in the UK can be a strong career move for both professional, and personal reasons; it’s an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to high-value, strategic work. You will work as part of the UK sales team working alongside the country’s management team, Customer Success Directors, Global CTO, as well as leaders in Product Design, Solution Architecture, Data Engineering and Data Science functions.
Senior Business Analyst - 6 months contract We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract to play a pivotal role in advancing Pay.UK’s Continuous Improvement strategic pillar, driving lasting enhancements to processes, operational efficiency, and organisational effectiveness. You will enter a setting where detailed analysis, well-organised documentation, and close teamwork are important. If you are experienced in turning complex business needs into well-defined requirements and supporting delivery across multiple stakeholders, this is a chance to do that work in an essential national payments context. ACCOUNTABILITIES * Gather, analyse and document business requirements for change initiatives across payment systems, services or supporting processes. * Translate business needs into clear process maps, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria. * Review current processes and identify gaps, dependencies, risks and opportunities for improvement. * Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements, test assumptions and build shared understanding. * Work closely with delivery, product, technology and operational teams to support solution design and implementation. * Prepare accurate impact assessments, options papers and business analysis artefacts to support decision-making. * Support testing activities by defining business scenarios, validating outcomes and confirming requirements traceability. * Maintain clear documentation and change controls so that decisions, requirements and actions are easy to follow. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Business analysis capabilities on complex change or transformation programmes, including requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and delivery support. * Eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria for change initiatives. * Facilitating requirements workshops and working with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify priorities, resolve issues and build agreement. * Experience assessing business processes, impacts, risks and dependencies, and producing clear analysis to support decision-making. * Experience supporting delivery through business analysis documentation, test scenario definition, outcome validation and requirements traceability. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INCLUSIVITY At Pay.UK, we value diversity and inclusivity. The team includes Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Designers, QA, and a Project Manager working in close collaboration. We use Agile, with regular iterations and two releases per year. The roadmap is defined upfront. Requirements: 1. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects. 2. Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile (Scrum / Kanban). 3. Strong skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and change management. 4. Ability to create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process flows. 5. Confident in communicating with stakeholders and facilitating workshops or interviews. 6. Experience working with both functional and non-functional requirements. 7. Understanding of system design concepts and ability to suggest solution improvements. 8. Experience creating visual models (diagrams, wireframes, flowcharts). 9. Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and structured approach to work. 10. Upper-Intermediate English level (written and spoken). Nice to have: 1. Experience with enterprise-level or multi-tenant SaaS platforms. 2. AI knowledge and experience applying it to add value to both the development lifecycle as well as incorporating it into features for client-facing applications Responsibilities: 1. Determine business requirements, focusing on a solution or part of a solution, and document them. 2. Explore solution-related risks, external factors, assumptions, constraints, etc. 3. Suggest design options and improvements for the To Be state of a solution. 4. Conduct stakeholder analysis (roles, responsibilities, influence, attitude, preferences for the identified internal and external stakeholders). 5. Outline communication rules, escalation path, and keep up to date with the BA-related meetings schedule. 6. Prepare for and conduct elicitation sessions using different techniques and their combinations (e.g., surveys, observations, group interviews, document analysis, interface analysis, etc.) 7. Explain the business context of a solution to the development team and other relevant stakeholders. 8. Discuss solution requirements and design options with the team, and communicate outcomes to the client (incl. business context, tech dependencies, constraints, risks, benefits, and opportunities). 9. Escalate requirements conflicts to the relevant stakeholders and track their resolutions. 10. Work on both functional and non-functional requirements specification and documentation (e.g., user story with acceptance criteria, use-cases, feature document, quality attribute scenario, etc.) 11. Support both functional and non-functional requirements with appropriate models and visuals (e.g., diagrams, matrices, mockups, wireframes, calculation models). 12. Verify both functional and non-functional requirements and models with the team and client. Create a verification checklist if needed. 13. Validate both functional and non-functional requirements against the business needs, goals, and objectives of a particular solution. 14. Outline scope boundaries of a module or feature (e.g., in- and out-of-scope, functional decomposition, use case diagrams, models, etc.) 15. Prioritize solution requirements using simple classification techniques. 16. Use traceability to ensure requirements coverage and to analyze requirements changes. 17. Obtain stakeholders' approval for solution requirements. 18. Maintain solution requirements and their attributes. 19. Assess the impact of the identified requirements changes, document and communicate changes and their implications to relevant stakeholders. 20. Responsibilities: * Communicate clearly and confidently to build trust and effective relationships with folks on both the business and technical sides. * Elicit and discuss functional and non-functional requirements with the stakeholders. * Analyze the existing specifications and actual solution as the source of requirements. * Present requirements to the team and provide support in grooming and testing activities. * Decompose the requirements into backlog items and maintain the backlog. * Update the solution specification documentation.
