WHAT WE BUILD Most companies find out about supplier insolvencies, cyber attacks, factory fires or floods that affect their supply chain when it's already a crisis. Prewave exists to change that. We're an AI-native company giving BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa real-time visibility into supply chain risks before they become headlines. We’re looking for a Junior Technical Specialist (f/m/d) who takes ownership of proposal delivery, technical enablement, and solution knowledge from day one. Someone who uses AI as a default part of how they work - and knows when to trust their own judgment. WHAT YOU'LL OWN * Support RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and customer questionnaires so that prospects get accurate, high-quality responses from the start. * Prepare technical documentation, presentations, trainings, and solution overviews so that customers and internal teams always have clear material to work from. * Collaborate with Solution Engineering, Proposal Management, and Solution Expertise teams to deliver cross functional projects. * Support customer demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities to enable efficient value demonstration * Maintain proposal content, knowledge bases, and internal documentation so that the whole team can execute faster. * Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and AI-driven projects so that repetitive work gets systematically eliminated. * Develop expertise in Prewave’s product, technology & integrations, and customer use cases so that you can speak to any part of the platform with confidence. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You are the right fit if you: * Have completed or are near completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. * Have strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills - you can break down a complex question into a structured, confident answer. * Care deeply about Prewave’s mission to make global supply chains more transparent, resilient, and sustainable - which is reflected in how you show up. * Have high attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn. * Are fluent in German and English. * Live in Vienna or are willing to relocate. * Hold a valid work permit for Austria - we are unable to support visa or work permit applications. Nice to have: * Internship or project experience in SaaS, consulting, technology, or project management. * Interest in innovation & technology, AI & automation, or supply chain risk management. * Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or Gemini. * Additional languages are a plus. Your mission Join Bitpanda as a Senior DevOps Engineer and take a leading role in shaping the next generation of our high-performance, cloud-native infrastructure that powers the future of digital finance. As a senior member of the team, you will drive architectural decisions, mentor and guide junior engineers, and ensure our platforms remain secure, scalable, and resilient. You’ll work with a motivated group of highly skilled engineers, contributing your experience while continuing to grow in a cutting-edge, fast-moving environment. What You’ll Do * Design, develop, and evolve our AWS-based infrastructure using best-in-class tooling, including Terraform and ArgoCD, leading the operation and optimisation of our container orchestration platforms, with a focus on multi-cluster networking and service-to-service communication. * Take ownership of our cross-cluster Istio service mesh—implementing policies, improving traffic management, and enhancing mesh-level networking performance and security. * Take ownership of the performance and scaling of either our Confluent Kafka messaging deployments proactively identifying bottlenecks, improving configurations, and collaborating with engineering teams to tune applications. * Monitor, optimise, and automate systems to ensure high availability, strong security posture, and superior performance using Datadog, Opsgenie, and AI-powered tooling. * Build scalable, robust solutions for complex technical challenges, ensuring infrastructure design aligns with best practices and long-term platform goals. * Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promote engineering excellence, and contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvements. Who You Are * 5+ years of hands-on experience building and managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, KMS, and related services). * Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation). * 3+ years of hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing either cluster-level Kafka deployments (Confluent preferred) or cloud relational/NoSQL database infrastructure in AWS, with a strong understanding of underlying engine mechanics and performance tuning. * Advanced understanding of cloud networking, including routing, load balancing, VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and service-mesh-based networking - familiarity with multi-cluster service mesh (Istio) and related capabilities is preferred * Proficiency in CI/CD systems, with deep experience in GitLab CI/CD and working knowledge of ArgoCD. * Proven experience deploying, maintaining, and scaling critical cloud infrastructure components in production environments. ** We offer a comprehensive relocation package to support candidates who are moving to join our team. Your mission As a Senior Engineer within Bitpanda’s Prime Services team, you will design, build, and scale the low-latency, highly available back-end systems powering our margin trading ecosystem. You will own critical infrastructure spanning leverage and collateral management, real-time risk assessment, and automated liquidation engines. Collaborating closely with product, quantitative, and risk teams, your work will directly shape how clients access leverage and how Bitpanda manages credit risk at scale.
