Soho House Portland is hiring a Club Receptionist/Host! Scope of the Job As a full-time Club Receptionist/Host, you are the first point of contact for members and guests. You are responsible for managing the arrival experience, answering incoming calls, and handling reservations. This role requires acute organizational skills, a warm disposition, and the ability to foster a positive, hospitable atmosphere from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities * Guest Relations: Welcome members by name and greet new guests warmly to set a positive tone. * Inquiry Management: Answer high-volume phone lines, taking messages and handling general inquiries or deliveries. * Reservations & Seating: Manage reservations via OpenTable for the club. Ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for and tables are ready. * Floor Support: Assist Food & Beverage managers with service execution and handle guest-list duties across multiple levels. * Problem Solving: Support, redirect, and resolve guest concerns in real time. * Membership Liaison: Build relationships with members, manage expectations, and forward feedback or issues to the Membership team. * Operations & Care: Maintain a clean, safe desk and reception area while managing the coat check closet. * Team Development: Train junior reception team members on Soho House process and service standards. Required Skills & Qualifications * Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a high-volume receptionist or hosting role. * Systems: Proficiency with OpenTable is required. Experience with Salesforce and Opera is a plus. * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain strict discretion. * Work Style: Exceptionally detail-oriented, articulate, and capable of multitasking in a demanding environment. * Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements * Stand and work on your feet for at least 8 hours in a fast-paced environment. * Move quickly between different areas of the club, both indoors and outdoors. * Move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds. * Seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands. * Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb. Partnership with the Sales Organization team * Act as a strategic partner to the Sales Organization, supporting job grading and the maintenance of a clear job architecture. * Design and oversee sales incentive plans together with the Sales Excellence team. * Conduct market benchmarking and cost estimations to ensure sales compensation structures remain competitive. Recognition * Participate in designing and implementing the corporate recognition programs to drive employee engagement and a high-performance culture, and take full responsibility for the administration of such programs by involving different parties and conducting the necessary communication activities. An in-depth knowledge of EMEA benefit plan laws and international mobility regulations would be preferred. * Solid understanding of compensation fundamentals, including benchmarking, salary structures, job evaluation, and incentive plan administration (specifically Sales). * Prior experience managing outsourced vendors and building positive relations with works councils or unions. * Hands-on experience with the calculation and payout of bonuses. Vos principales missions : • Evaluer la condition physique et les objectifs des membres à travers des entretiens et des tests physiques • Concevoir des programmes d’entraînement sûrs et personnalisés, adaptés aux besoins et aux objectifs individuels • Suivre la planification des cours et renseigner les membres sur les différents cours • Réaliser les cours collectifs proposés aux membres (HIT, boxe, mobilité/stretching...) • Superviser et corriger les techniques pendant les séances afin de prévenir les blessures et d’optimiser les résultats • Motiver et accompagner les membres pour maintenir leur engagement dans leur programme d’entraînement • Fournir des conseils de base en nutrition et en hygiène de vie • Maintenir un environnement d’entraînement sûr, propre et professionnel • Se tenir informé(e) des tendances du fitness et des nouvelles techniques d’entraînement • Tenir des dossiers détaillés sur les progrès et les résultats de chaque client • Accueillir les membres dans les espaces dédiés, communiquer sur les différents services et répondre à leurs diverses demandes • Orienter les membres dans l'espace bien-être et les renseigner sur les spécificités du sauna et du hammam • Gérer le standard téléphonique en l'absence des hôtes Gym Club • Avoir un bon relationnel et être réactif pour faire face à toutes situations • Veiller à la propreté du plateau et s'assurer que le matériel soit bien rangé après utilisation • Signaler immédiatement toutes anomalies ou machines défectueuses • Assurer l'application du règlement intérieur par les membres Profil : • Certification de coach sportif / entraîneur personnel • Minimum 2 ans d’expérience en tant que coach sportif • Excellentes compétences en communication et capacité à motiver • Flexibilité pour travailler selon des horaires variés • Maîtrise de l’anglais • Capacité à travailler avec des clients d’âges et de niveaux de forme physique variés • Connaissances en anatomie, physiologie et nutrition de base.
