Senior Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps / Cloud / Docker / Go / Kubernetes / Location: Wallingford - Oxfordshire (Hybrid) onsite circa once every 4 weeks Permanent At Dexory, we are transforming the warehousing and logistics industry through data intelligence. We’re currently recruiting for a senior infrastructure engineer to define, build and operate the infrastructure and tooling necessary for our rapidly growing business. You will be responsible for supporting high-velocity deployment of user-facing applications, internal services, and infrastructure at scale, while ensuring stability, reliability and automation. Offices based in Wallingford, Oxford but flexible hybrid basis (circa once every 4 weeks on site) Any experience within robotics or start up / scale up environments desirable along with experience working on multiple cloud platforms vs being tied to just one vendor. Responsibilities / Skills * Develop and Maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling that supports multiple engineering teams with different technical requirements – enabling self-service, repeatable deployments, and high-throughput delivery. * Manage cloud infrastructure across a wide range of cloud providers, using Kubernetes, for both user-facing applications and internal services – provision, monitor, optimise cost, performance and reliability. * Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform on Terraform Cloud, establishing standards for repeatable environments, reducing manual processes and increasing automation. * Support monitoring, logging, observability and alerting systems, via Grafana, to support production health, incident detection, root-cause analysis and rapid recovery. * Drive a culture of DevOps best-practice across teams: infrastructure reliability, deployment-velocity, automated testing, rollback strategies, security/infrastructure hardening. * Mentor and guide less-senior DevOps/infrastructure engineers * Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering roles in a high-growth tech company (scale-up) or equivalent. * Strong hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform), containers (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling. * Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions), automation frameworks and self-service developer tooling (Backstage). * Strong programming skills in either Go or Typescript, and experience with configuration management tools. * Benefits Starting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles: Performance: High standards, outstanding results, Impact: Big challenges, bigger results Commitment: All in, every time One team: One mission, shared success Joining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition. About the Role As Irregular’s Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational foundations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role with real influence over how the company builds, deploys, and operates its systems in production. You’ll be building infrastructure that supports work with frontier AI labs such as Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI, and meets the scale, security, and reliability standards this ecosystem requires. This includes architecting ephemeral, on-demand environments, and spinning up and tearing down multi-service deployments (VPCs, compute, serverless components, and more) as needed. You will work closely with research, engineering, security, and leadership to design and maintain scalable infrastructure, improve system reliability, and enable fast, safe, and secure product delivery. Key Responsibilities * Own and evolve Irregular’s cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and reliability * Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows * Lead and continuously improve containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) * Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform) * Own production readiness: availability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response * Work closely with engineering and research teams to support development, testing, and production needs * Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and security posture * Take part in - and often lead architectural decisions and long-term infrastructure planning * Act as a key operational owner in a fast-growing startup, setting best practices and standards Requirements * 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer in production environments * Strong, hands-on experience with AWS (architecture, networking, security, and cost awareness) * Proven experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production * Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar) * Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g., Terraform) * Ability to take end-to-end ownership and operate independently in an early-stage, high-ambiguity environment Nice to Have * Experience working closely with research or security teams in production environments * Background supporting data-heavy, distributed, or high-scale systems * Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
Remarcable is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, system reliability, observability, and scalability. The ideal candidate brings strong DevOps fundamentals paired with solid software development skills, enabling them to build clean, maintainable automation and internal tooling. You are comfortable operating with autonomy, making architectural decisions, and elevating the quality and resilience of our delivery and operational workflows. Who You Are • 3-5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering. • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS required; Azure/GCP a plus) and cloud-native architectures. • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows end-to-end. • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation or Ansible also welcome). • Strong software development skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code in a modern programming language. • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (experience with any major platform; ECS, Kubernetes, or similar). • Strong understanding of security best practices, IAM, networking, system administration, and distributed systems. • Experience supporting or contributing to security and compliance programs, ideally SOC 2 or similar. • Proficiency with monitoring and observability tooling (ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.). • Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies. • Comfortable operating autonomously in an agile, fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
