WE'RE UNLOCKING ACCESS TO THE NHS, BECAUSE HEALTHCARE IS NOT TRULY FREE UNTIL IT'S TRULY ACCESSIBLE 💙 The world’s best healthcare, for free. It's not a new idea, it's called the NHS. But the largest healthcare provider is fundamentally broken. Patient satisfaction is at an all time low, and the biggest reason cited is lack of access. So we’re on a mission to fix it with technology that actually works. We're building the front door of UK healthcare, creating a future where one billion NHS appointments are transparent and instantly bookable, and patients are guided to the right service first time using AI. We're developing critical national infrastructure. Today, 26% of GP practices in England use our patient registration software, while one in five GP practices in London use Bookable Search to help new patients find and book appointments seamlessly. Our latest product, Bookable Navigator, extends this vision by automatically booking appointments for existing patients. We operate from within a working GP practice in East London 🏥 We're backed by Y Combinator, Innovate UK and the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, and were previously ranked the 8th fastest-growing startup in the UK and 33rd fastest-growing in Europe 🚀 ⛩️ OUR PRINCIPLES Exciting challenges lie ahead. Guided by our principles, we’ll meet these challenges with a thoughtful and caring approach. These principles drive everything we do at Healthtech-1: 1. 💙 Care deeply 2. 🏋️♀️ Work hard 3. 🤝 Be your word 4. 💬 Trust in radical truth and transparency 5. 🚀 Do your life's best work 6. 🥳 Find the fun Read more about our principles and our "why" in the Healthtech-1 Handbook. FOUNDING TALENT PARTNER 🎯 MISSION STATEMENT Healthtech-1 exists to unlock appointment access in the NHS. We're already in a quarter of GP practices, and we're not stopping there. Right now, hiring is one of the most important levers in the business. You'll be our first dedicated talent hire, reporting directly to Pete (cofounder). 💙 THE ROLE You're joining at a pivotal moment. We’re growing rapidly and looking to hire 20+ roles in the next 6-12 months. Some of the foundations for the hiring function are formed, but we’re looking for someone to add process, expertise and fuel to the engine so we can take it to the next level. We think of talent as having 3 streams: * Sourcing * Candidate experience * Hiring manager experience The ideal person is able to balance the art and the science of talent acquisition. The art = you're able to charm and persuade the best talent in the world to join us. The science = the operational efficiency of running a smooth talent process. That includes planning, keeping on top of all communications, coordinating between candidates and hiring managers and staying on track with the longer term hiring plan. You're an operator who can run multiple roles concurrently without anything slipping through the cracks. Opportunities for progression: This is a founding role in a function that will grow. As we scale beyond hiring into onboarding, culture, and retention, this becomes a full People function. You'll have the opportunity to build and lead it. Whilst our preference is always for people who stay for the long term, we’re also open to 9-12 month FTC. Hybrid office culture: 💪🏼 4 days in our office in Stratford. Given our specialized product nature, the primary mission is to optimize the balance between cost, time, and quality while ensuring impeccable relationship governance, absolute supply chain stability, and robust risk mitigation through the development of viable backup plans. Simultaneously, they will lead an experienced engineering team to secure our proprietary in-house programming infrastructure, protect co-developed IP, and navigate New Product Introductions (NPI) from a supply standpoint. The role reports to VP - Supply Chain Operations and is located at Yubico’s head office in Stockholm. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Relationship Governance (60% Focus) * Strategic Partner Governance: Manage and mature relationships with our core co-manufacturing partners, navigating complex commercial conversations and aligning supplier expectations with evolving business needs. * Commercial Governance and Process Ownership: Act as the internal owner of all hardware procurement processes. In close collaboration with Legal, lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Quality Assurance Agreements (QAAs), and commercial contracts to ensure Yubico's corporate interests and assets are fully protected. * Capacity and Contract Modeling: Secure complex, multi-year capacity reservations with our most critical vendors while hedging against volatile underlying commodity and electronic material prices. * Supply Chain Resiliency: Where applicable, transition the supply chain from single-source dependencies to a resilient, dual-sourced ecosystem with viable backup plans, without disrupting historical partner dynamics. * Packaging Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage our packaging supplier portfolio, addressing reliability issues and establishing rigorous performance standards to ensure consistent supply. * Team Mentorship: Coach and elevate the team to professionalize day-to-day purchasing, track spend transparency, and manage contract compliance. 2. Manufacturing, Automation and In-House Production (40% Focus) * In-House Programming Infrastructure: Support the development, scaling, and operational uptime of Yubico’s proprietary in-house production and programming/flashing stations. * Structured Engineering Leadership: Provide structured management to a highly experienced team of mechanical and automation engineers, channeling their expertise into well-documented processes. * IP Protection in Co-Development: Establish strict operational and legal boundaries for the automation lines, fixtures, and parts our engineering team co-designs with suppliers, ensuring Yubico’s proprietary innovations are contractually protected. * Quality Safeguards: Oversee the Supplier Quality domain to enforce strict cosmetic and technical standards, ensuring only the top tier of manufacturers operate in our ecosystem. 3. NPI and Cross-Functional Integration * Product Launch Readiness: Serve as the operational anchor for new product launches. Drive proactive, flawless communication ahead of launches to ensure all suppliers, sub-suppliers, and internal teams are aligned on NPI milestones. * One Supply Chain Umbrella: Partner intimately with Planning, Logistics, and Fulfillment to ensure procurement strategies, lead times, and capacity reservations map perfectly against rolling demand forecasts. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience: 10+ years of hardware/industrial supply chain experience, heavily weighted toward electronics procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract structural design. * The Versatile Career Background: Ideally exhibits a proven blend of experience—having cut their teeth within highly disciplined, mature industrial organizations to learn world-class operational structure, combined with clear success inside agile, fast-moving scale-ups that move at pace. * The "Hybrid" Skillset: A seasoned commercial leader who is entirely comfortable negotiating multi-million dollar capacity commitments, but possesses enough technical depth to lead automation and mechanical domains. * NPI Proven Track Record: Deep, hands-on experience guiding complex electronic products through difficult New Product Introduction (NPI) phases under tight deadlines. * Diplomatic Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to handle difficult, high-stakes supplier conversations with diplomacy, protecting the relationship while securing Yubico’s operational and financial interests. * Operational Rigor: A builder who can walk into an ecosystem running on low-documentation and implement clean, scalable processes, acting as a trusted, professional partner to our innovative design and engineering teams #LI-IR1 We are an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity and uphold an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued.
