About the Role You will join an engineering environment in the automotive industry where media routing, cable harnesses, and related components play a key role in cab development. The focus of this assignment is media routing for the steering wheel, steering column, and lower storage area, where the right design choices affect quality, durability, cost efficiency, and production readiness. You will work in an agile setup with PI planning and sprint-based follow-up, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, system owners, production, and suppliers. The role combines hands-on engineering work with coordination across several stakeholders, making it a strong opportunity for you who want to influence practical design solutions in a technically detailed product environment. Job DescriptionYou will verify media routing and cable lengths to support robust solutions, reduce unnecessary variants, and avoid scrap, excessive cable length, or wear-related issues. You will participate in design reviews and contribute with engineering input on routing, specifications, and implementation readiness. You will update and review drawings, prepare introductions linked to ECO, raise ECOs, and create the documentation needed to move changes forward. You will create MR, order parts, perform measurements, and verify that routing solutions meet specification. You will coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to secure alignment, regulatory compliance, and production readiness. You will support production during test assembly, follow up outcomes, and drive corrections, improvements, and change requests when needed. You will act as the voice of the cable harness area and work closely with responsible stakeholders to find good long-term solutions during ongoing component changes. We are looking for a Project Sourcing Specialist to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. Purpose and Goals You are a hands-on sourcing professional driving supplier selection and commercial execution in development and engineering change projects. You take ownership of sourcing activities from early supplier involvement through supplier selection and handover to operations, ensuring the right balance between cost, quality, risk, sustainability, and scalability. Working closely with R&D, Sourcing Category Managers, and Operations, you enable fast decision-making and contribute to competitive, cost-efficient products and a successful ramp-up of production. Responsibilities: Drive sourcing activities in development and ECO projects (RFQs, supplier selection, handover to production) Work closely with R&D to ensure early supplier involvement, prototyping and efficient iteration loops Support Category Managers with RFQ benchmarking and supplier insights Evaluate and select suppliers based on total cost, quality, lead time, sustainability, risk, and scalability Secure structured handover to operational purchasing (pricing, agreements, master data, logistics setup) Ensure high-quality master data and ERP setup for new parts and suppliers Drive continuous improvement, with strong focus on automation and simplification of sourcing processes Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent +3 years experience in procurement of direct material Strong ERP understanding and advanced Excel skills Skilled in supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract handling Fluent in English (written and spoken) Structured, analytical, and execution-focused with strong stakeholder management skills Nice-to-haves: Skills and interest in automation of processes and digital tools within procurement Experience from high-growth / industrialisation environments Experience in marine, automotive, or aerospace industries Form of employment: Full-time with initial 6 month probation period Start date: ASAP Location/base: Rotebro or Frihamnen Team: Sourcing Reporting to: Director, Strategic sourcing Why people love working at Candela?
