How can AI enable firms to trust each other and collaborate? or will it break our trust? Join our interdisciplinary research at Chalmers to develop new insights and tools for trust‑calibrated, AI‑supported decision‑making in SCM or Transport. The project will be conducted in close collaboration with the Interaction Design and Software Engineering division at the Computer Science and Engineering department.  We are looking for an ambitious and analytical postdoc to join our team.  About us  The Department of Technology Management and Economics conducts research and education at the intersection of technological development and management/policy. The division of Supply & Operations Management (SOM) performs research, education and outreach activities related to logistics, operations management, and industrial marketing and purchasing. All of these areas relate to the broader field of supply chain management. Our research is empirical and problem-oriented, with strong emphasis on theoretical, industrial, and societal relevance.   The Interaction Design and Software Engineering division conducts research and education in both Interaction Design and Software Engineering.  About the research project   This 2 year funded Postdoc project investigates how AI‑supported decision-making reshape collaboration, trust, and information sharing in a business-to-business context. Focusing on real-world supply chain management and logistics settings, it examines how trust in AI and between organizations influences data sharing, coordination, and joint efforts toward zero‑emission systems.  Using qualitative and quantitative methods, the project develops and tests a practical framework for “trust calibration” in AI‑supported collaboration, helping organizations understand when to rely on AI, when to verify its recommendations, and how to design governance structures for responsible and effective collaboration. We have a pool of interview data to begin the project. Who we are looking for  The following requirements are mandatory:  A doctoral degree in supply chain management, operations management, information systems, or a related field (or an equivalent foreign degree). Department of Aquatic Resources (SLU Aqua) Climate change is impacting aquatic ecosystems worldwide, creating an urgent need for management strategies that strengthen ecological resilience and support sustainable use of aquatic resources. In this two-year postdoctoral project, you will use quantitative  evidence-based syntheses to identify how aquatic management can enhance ecosystem resilience to the impacts of climate change. This position offers opportunities for career development at the interface between ecological research and practical management through scientific publishing, conference participation, and stakeholder engagement.  About the position We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in evidence-based conservation and restoration ecology. The project combines fundamental ecological and evolutionary research with applied management science to address: Which management interventions most effectively increase resilience to climate change in aquatic ecosystems? How do dispersal, ecological interactions and evolutionary adaptation influence the success of climate adaptation measures? How can evidence synthesis be translated into practical decision support for environmental managers? You will apply systematic reviews, meta-analyses and other evidence synthesis methods to answer these questions. The work includes close collaboration with practitioners to ensure scientifically robust and practically relevant guidance for climate adaptation. The project is expected to result in scientific publications while directly informing evidence-based environmental policy and management. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who has recently completed, or is close to completing, a PhD and has training in statistics, data processing, bioinformatics, or a related discipline, to contribute to research on disorders of the brain. You will work with some degree of independence as a postdoctoral researcher in a group studying Parkinson’s disease and other alpha-synuclein–related diseases (alpha-synucleinopathies) within the David Bäckström lab (umu.se), primarily multiple system atrophy (MSA) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). Our aim is to understand what causes these diseases, how synapses in the brain are affected in them, how these disorders lead to dementia, and—if possible—how they can be treated or prevented. Project Description The research group currently consists of 3–5 members and collaborates closely with the Departments of Neurology, Pathology, and Radiology at Norrlands University Hospital (NUS), as well as Umeå University. The group includes a principal investigator, a PhD student, a research nurse, and several affiliated researchers and students. Our research spans the spectrum from epidemiological studies to analyses of cerebrospinal fluid, genetics, and protein biochemistry related to Parkinson’s disease and other alpha-synucleinopathies. A major focus is on genetic and lifestyle-related risk factors in individuals affected by these currently incurable disorders, to understand their causes and how they relate to synaptic dysfunction and impaired cell endocytosis. This research involves both clinical studies of patients and molecular biological analyses carried out locally in Umeå and through international collaborations, enabling robust findings across multiple datasets. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in Complex Mobility Systems. The position is part of a Formas-funded project developing dynamic synthetic populations and mobility digital twins for resilient and equitable transport planning. The project develops next-generation synthetic populations that are dynamic, scenario-conditioned and suitable for stress-testing mobility systems under disruptions. The work combines mobile phone data, census and urban data, activity-based and agent-based modelling, generative sequence models, transport networks, digital twins, resilience indicators and equity-sensitive analysis. The project explicitly seeks to move beyond static “average-day” demand modelling towards dynamic, behaviourally rich and policy-relevant simulations of how different groups adapt under changing conditions.  The project is carried out in collaboration withthe department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU, Denmark) and Universidad del Desarrollo / ISI Foundation (Chile/Italy), contributing expertise in human mobility modelling, resilience science, and empirical disruption analysis using large-scale mobile phone data from Chile. As a Senior/Lead Economy and Engagement Designer at Embark, you will be responsible for designing and implementing systems and mechanics that are deep and interesting for our players to engage with and retain them, short, medium and long term, as well as sustainable and player-friendly monetization features and models, that provide real value to our players, in a fair way.
