coaching technical writers and analysts on writing craft, intelligence tradecraft, and reporting standards * Collaborating with analysts and external partners to contextualize intelligence findings and communicate them effectively to customers and the public * Partnering with marketing, design, PR, and communications teams to amplify intelligence content, manage workloads and deadlines, and develop a cohesive security narrative EXAMPLES OF DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE * Minimum 5 years of experience in a threat intelligence role within the Five Eyes (FVEY) community * 7+ quality gate before publication * Strong ability to craft — and to lead others in crafting — clear, concise, and engaging technical content for a variety of audiences, from technical defenders to executives * Experience collaborating with cybersecurity researchers and analysts, with a strong understanding of intrusion analysis, incident response, malware, adversary TTPs, and network defense We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. The Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team is part of Plaid’s security organization, focused on enabling the business by proactively managing information security risks and maintaining effective controls. Our mission is to reduce the likelihood and impact of security risks while operating a robust assurance program that builds trust with our customers, consumers, and data partners. We own Plaid’s security compliance frameworks, run our audits and risk programs, and partner across the company to keep Plaid’s platform secure, resilient, and aligned with industry and regulatory expectations. GRC Engineering is how we make all of that scale — turning compliance into code, evidence into telemetry, and audits into a continuous, automated capability. The Role: * You will own GRC Engineering at Plaid — a foundational, high-ownership role defining an emerging discipline from the ground up. Today most of our compliance work is manual and point-in-time; you will turn it into an engineered system that is continuous, data-driven, and scalable, and set the technical direction for the field. * You will: * Define the discipline and the architecture — how GRC Engineering works at Plaid, not just execute within it. * Build the foundation the function runs on — a codified source of truth for controls, policies, and evidence, fed by live pipelines and continuous controls monitoring. * Be the engineering backbone for Security Assurance & Trust Enablement, Third-Party Ecosystem Risk, and Risk Management * Make risk visible and data-driven — turning control and risk data into real-time signals for the team and leadership. * Pioneer where compliance is heading — compliance-agents-as-code in the SDLC, AI- and agent-driven workflows, and machine-readable continuous compliance (FedRAMP 20x). * This role is perfect for you if: * You think in systems: you'd rather design the thing that eliminates a whole class of manual work than automate one task at a time. * You love building and shipping internal tools and solutions that people actually use. * You're relentlessly curious — you poke, you investigate, and you dig into how controls can silently fail, drift, or get bypassed so you can catch it automatically. * You treat every roadblock as just an obstacle to route around — you don't back down, because there's always a path. * You like range — juggling several problems across security, risk, compliance, and engineering beats grinding on a single one. * You're energized by turning compliance from a documentation exercise into demonstrable, continuous, machine-readable evidence. Responsibilities: * Architect GRC's Engineering Foundation: Build the pipelines and codified source of truth the function runs on — controls, policies, and framework mappings captured as structured, version-controlled data and fed by live control and system state — so one control maps evidence across SOC 2, ISO, NIST, and beyond instead of being re-collected for every audit. * Build Continuous Controls Monitoring: Automate evidence collection, control testing, and monitoring across cloud and internal systems, and write and tune the detection that flags drift and misconfiguration against baseline — so audit readiness is continuous and gaps surface the moment they appear, not at audit time. * Turn Data into Risk Signal: Build dashboards and SQL-driven reporting that turn raw control and risk data into KPIs, giving the team and leadership real-time visibility into risk posture. * Drive Data-Informed Risk Assessments: Conduct security and technology risk assessments and recommend mitigations using data — keeping the risk management program running while cutting its manual overhead. * Automate Operational Toil: Eliminate the recurring manual work the team carries — evidence pulls, access and vendor reviews, questionnaires, risk-register upkeep, status reporting — with durable automation that gives time back across every workstream. * Shift Compliance Left with Code and AI: Embed compliance checks into the CI/CD flow as policy-as-code so controls are validated as code ships, prototype self-healing policies reconciled against live infrastructure, and scale agentic / AI-assisted workflows across the function. * Future-proof for Continuous Compliance: Build toward machine-readable, continuously validated evidence (FedRAMP 20x-style Key Security Indicators), positioning Plaid to meet continuous-compliance expectations as we enter new markets and pursue new authorizations. Qualifications: * Software & Data Engineering Foundations: * Strong Python and SQL, with a proven track record of building API/webhook integrations that connect disparate systems. * Experience owning an internal tool or service end to end — design, build, operate, and maintain — with real users depending on it. * Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native security controls, including the ability to query cloud, GitHub, and SaaS logs. * Proficiency with dashboarding / data-visualization tools (e.g., Mode) to turn control and risk data into KPIs and signal. * Applied GRC Engineering: * Experience building and operating continuous controls monitoring end to end — collecting signal from live systems, writing and tuning the detection logic that compares state to a baseline, alerting, and driving remediation. * Demonstrated ability to model controls, policies, and framework mappings as structured, version-controlled data rather than docs and spreadsheets. * Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform) and policy-as-code (OPA/Rego, Sentinel), including embedding compliance checks into CI/CD. * Proven ability to eliminate recurring operational toil — evidence pulls, access and vendor reviews, questionnaires, risk-register upkeep, status reports — with durable automation rather than one-off scripts. * Compliance & risk knowledge: * Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701, and NIST CSF/800-53, with the ability to map controls to evidence and crosswalk a single control across frameworks. * Experience conducting security or technology risk assessments and translating findings into data-driven mitigation. * Familiarity with the shift to continuous compliance (FedRAMP 20x, machine-readable Key Security Indicators) and how it changes evidence and control design. * AI fluency & tooling: * Demonstrated ability to build and scale agentic / AI-assisted workflows (Claude, OpenAI) as leverage for the whole team. * Cross-functional effectiveness: * Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across security, infrastructure, and engineering, with strong prioritization and the ability to influence without authority. Nice to have: * Direct experience with FedRAMP or FedRAMP 20x, or other public-sector / continuous-compliance authorizations. * Experience with audit ›/ compliance automation platforms (Anecdotes, Drata, Vanta, Paramify, or similar). * Exposure to security incident response and triage. * Experience in a high-growth fintech or financial-services environment. * Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators. At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there. A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone. As a founding member of the Security Operations team in EMEA, you will join us at an exciting time in Roblox’s SIRT & SOC program. You will design and build the detections, automation and tooling that let a lean team monitor and protect players, developers, employees and the platform at global scale and serve as security incident commander in the region. This is a highly autonomous role where you will be a primary decision-maker, core to our mission to maintain a highly capable 24/7/365 monitoring and response capability. While you will work in close collaboration with peers at our US West Coast Headquarters, the time difference requires an engineer who can operate independently, making critical decisions without immediate oversight. We favor engineering our way out of toil through automation, orchestration, detections-as-code, and risk-based prioritization, while retaining the deep technical skills required to conduct detailed, hands-on analysis and lead response end-to-end when the situation warrants. Work Environment: This role is based in London, UK. You will be working from a dedicated, private space located within a shared office environment, designed to enable collaboration while remaining secure. YOU WILL: * Build Detection & Response Systems: Design, write, and maintain production-quality detections, automations and integrations (detections-as-code, SOAR playbooks, data and enrichment pipelines) that scale our monitoring capability and reduce manual toil. * Own Tooling & Platform: Develop and improve the tooling the global SIRT/SOC depends on alert quality and enrichment, case-management integrations and automation that powers reliable "follow-the-sun" hand-offs. * Exercise High Autonomy: Act as the primary Incident Commander for the European time zone, making critical, time-sensitive decisions independently before US HQ comes online. You will serve as the senior-most security engineering point of contact in the region. * Drive Strategy & Architecture: Shape the technical direction of the detection & response engineering function, specifically architecting how global hand-offs and "follow-the-sun" models can be optimized and automated. * Command Security Incidents: Ensure serious threats and impacts are understood, mitigated, and learned from with speed and professionalism, often leading responses end-to-end without immediate escalation paths during local hours — and turning what you learn into durable, automated detections. * Conduct Forensic Investigations & Threat Hunt: Dig into complex context to determine whether threats exist, take decisive action and proactively hunt for anomalous activity in our signals, distinguishing outliers from threats. * Lead High-Profile Responses: Collaborate with Security and Engineering to lead responses to major vulnerabilities or platform-wide events. * Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Legal, HR, Executive teams, and external partners (Developers & Customers). You will also travel semi-regularly to the USA to visit HQ, ensuring deep alignment with central engineering and security leadership. YOU HAVE: * Experience: 10+ years across security engineering, Infosec, IT, Infra/SRE, and/or Incident Response. * Specialization: 7+ years specifically in Detection or Response, with a track record of building, writing detections, automation or security tooling, not solely operating. * Engineering Proficiency: Comfortable writing and reviewing production-quality code (Scripting) and building automations, integrations and data pipelines that others depend on. * Autonomous Leadership: Proven ability to work independently in satellite offices or distributed teams. You are comfortable being the "person in charge" during your shift and making calls that impact the business. * Incident Command: Extensive experience operating as an incident commander. You can flex into deep engineering work but also possess the executive presence to coordinate responders and communicate status to leadership. * Investigations: Expert-level capability investigating threats in enterprise and production environments, taking ownership from identification to resolution. * Knowledge/Tools/Techniques: Deep understanding of security tooling (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, NDR, SOAR) and experience extending or building on it. You are proficient in applying Incident Response frameworks (NIST IR Lifecycle, Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK) to real-world scenarios, and you collaborate effectively with engineering colleagues, leveraging extensive expertise across infrastructure and technologies (Public Cloud, OS, Virtualization, Containerization, Networking, Build/Development infrastructure, and Hardware). * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience. YOU ARE: * A Builder-Operator: You would rather automate a problem out of existence than staff around it and you hold yourself to an engineering bar even under incident pressure. * A Strategic Self-Starter: You don't wait for instructions. You identify gaps in coverage — especially those unique to regional or time-zone-specific challenges — and fix them. * A Detailed Thinker: You enjoy exploring the details and considering the second- and third-order effects of your decisions. * An Eager Problem Solver: You are drawn to complex issues rather than avoidant of them. * Emboldened to Make Change: You instinctively ask what you can do to improve the situation rather than waiting to be prompted. * Compelled by our Mission: You are driven by the opportunity to protect our community and the safe space we've created. * A Calculated Risk Taker: You move fast, navigating reasonable risks to take action and build capabilities as quickly as possible. Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted). Roblox provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional leadership role that partners with Security, Security Engineering, IT and engineering teams across the company. The impact you will have: * Build, lead, and grow a high-performing team of engineers responsible for cloud IAM operations, CSP environment management, security data pipelines, and compliance operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP. * Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for automating cloud access assignment, approval workflows, and IAM policy enforcement to reduce manual toil while strengthening security controls. * Own the end-to-end lifecycle of CSP account, subscription, and project provisioning, including secure onboarding of acquired companies' cloud environments into Databricks' organizations with minimal disruption. * Drive compliance programs including Cloud User Access Reviews, audit evidence collection, and IAM policy alignment to meet SOC2, FedRAMP, and other regulatory requirements. * Ensure the reliability and timeliness of security data pipelines that ingest CSP audit logging, enabling downstream detection and response capabilities. * Partner closely with Security, Security Engineering, and IT to interpret and operationalize security policies, ensuring consistent enforcement with high transparency and minimal friction for engineering teams. * Lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives spanning multiple teams and external partners, demonstrating leverage by executing through technical leads and developing future leaders on the team. * Lead GovCloud escort operations, including staffing a 24x7 on-call rotation for SEV0 incidents, and continuously improving operational resilience. What we look for: * 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, or production/site reliability engineering, with deep hands-on expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * 5+ years of engineering management experience, including building teams, developing senior engineers and managers, and navigating complex people situations such as promotions and performance management. * Strong technical understanding of cloud IAM (policies, principals, roles, federation), CSP organizational structures, and identity governance frameworks. * Demonstrated success leading operational teams that balance high-throughput request execution with automation and process improvement. * Experience with compliance and audit workflows (SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO, or similar), including evidence collection and access review programs. * Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives that require influencing without direct authority across security, infrastructure, and engineering organizations. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate security policy into practical operational processes that engineering teams can follow. * BS (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field. P-1602 ABOUT DATABRICKS At Databricks, we are passionate about enabling data teams to solve the world's toughest problems — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business. Founded by engineers — and customer obsessed — we leap at every opportunity to solve technical challenges, from designing next-gen UI/UX for interfacing with data to scaling our services and infrastructure across millions of virtual machines. And we're only getting started. The Role At Databricks, we don’t just use the cloud; we are "cloud maximalists." Unlike most companies that treat multi-cloud as a backup strategy, we run our platform across every region of every major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, and GCP) simultaneously. This creates a massive, high-consequence engineering surface area that requires a unique breed of Production Engineer. In this role, you won’t just run our cloud environments; you will own and evolve the secure infrastructure, access patterns, and guardrails that keep Databricks’ global platform safe and compliant in production. You will be responsible for the "sovereign layer" of our infrastructure, ensuring that our Data Intelligence Platform operates with 100% reliability and security in highly regulated, air-gapped, and sovereign environments. If you are an engineer who views infrastructure as a software problem and thrives on the complexity of global-scale networking, IAM, and automation, this is your team. THE IMPACT YOU’LL HAVE Security-Focused Cloud Operations * Design, automate, and operate the IAM, account/subscription, and project lifecycle across AWS, Azure, and GCP, enforcing least-privilege and standardized access patterns at scale. * Review, implement, and continuously improve cloud identity and access policies (IAM, Okta, Opal) to align with Databricks security standards and audit requirements. Production Engineering & Automation * Build and maintain reliable, observable automation and tooling to apply cloud changes (roles, policies, accounts, networking) safely and repeatedly. * Treat operational and security issues as software problems: eliminate toil, drive root-cause analysis, and codify fixes into infrastructure and tooling. Security Data Pipelines & Compliance * Own and improve security and audit logging data pipelines from cloud providers into our internal systems, ensuring timely, accurate data for detection, investigations, and audits. * Partner with Security, Compliance, and Audit teams to provide evidence, clarifications, and policy updates that keep our environments aligned with evolving standards. Regulated & Specialized Environments * Operate and improve specialized, highly regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP / GovCloud) including release management, patching cadences, and supporting secure access workflows (e.g., SAW). * Ensure high availability and resiliency for critical security and access infrastructure across these environments. On-Call & Incident Response * Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for high-severity incidents impacting cloud accounts, IAM, or security data pipelines. * Act as a key partner to product engineering, security engineering, and field teams during incidents to restore service and harden systems for the future. WHAT WE LOOK FOR * Required: Candidates must be eligible for a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance. * Nice to have: Possession of a current polygraph (Counterintelligence or Full Scope) is highly desired and considered a significant plus. * Education- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. * Experience: 5+ years of experience in production engineering, SRE, security engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles. * Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise * Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in areas such as IAM, networking, accounts/subscriptions/projects, and audit logging. * Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and CI/CD for infrastructure changes. * Security & Compliance Mindset * Proven experience working in or with security-sensitive or regulated environments (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, financial services, public sector) and translating requirements into concrete technical controls. * Familiarity with access review processes, policy baselines, and audit evidence for cloud environment. * Operational Excellence * Demonstrated success running high-availability, security-critical services, including on-call responsibilities and incident management. * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across distributed systems, with the ability to navigate ambiguous issues spanning multiple teams and platforms. Bonus * Experience with Okta, Opal, or similar identity/access tooling. * Background operating secure admin workstations (SAW) or comparable hardened access patterns. * Experience migrating cloud accounts or subscriptions during M&A or large-scale reorganizations. At MyFitnessPal, we believe good health starts with what you eat. We provide tools, resources and support to enable users to reach their health goals. We are looking for a Software Engineer III - Site Reliability to join the MyFitnessPal PEAS team. As a member of the PEAS team, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact MyFitnessPal users through your expertise in the reliability and delivery systems that keep the MyFitnessPal ecosystem fast, available, and safe to change. In addition to technical expertise, you'll find that your teammates value collaboration, mentorship, and inclusive environments. About the team: The Productivity Engineering: Automation & Self-Service (PEAS) team is responsible for the automation, CI/CD, and self-service platforms that product teams rely on to build, test, and ship features quickly and safely. The PEAS team is part of the Technology Operations (TechOps) organization, which includes IT, Infrastructure, Security, Reliability, and DevOps/DevEx disciplines. TechOps seeks to enable MyFitnessPal to "ship with confidence" by delivering a secure, reliable, and low-friction runway to build and operate software at scale. Essential Duties: As a Software Engineer III on the PEAS team, you will own reliability across our production services and maintain security in the software delivery pipeline. You'll define how we measure and defend reliability, lead us through incidents, and make our CI/CD pipelines both faster and harder to compromise. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience to MyFitnessPal users. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: * Own and evolve our SLI/SLO and error-budget frameworks, and use them to influence prioritization and product decisions * Lead incident response, drive postmortems, and turn findings into systemic fixes rather than one-off patches * Build and maintain observability across metrics, logs, and traces (Datadog), improving signal and reducing alert fatigue * Design and operate resilient, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) * Manage production Kubernetes and container workloads, including capacity planning and cloud-cost optimization * Own CI/CD pipelines and safe deployment strategies (canary, progressive rollout, fast rollback) * Own the security controls that live inside the delivery pipeline — integrating and tuning SAST, DAST, and SCA scanning (for example, in GitHub Actions) so issues surface while code is still in review * Implement and maintain policy-as-code (for example, OPA/Rego, Kyverno, or Conftest) to block unsafe infrastructure and Kubernetes changes at admission time * Drive vulnerability triage and remediation SLAs for pipeline- and infrastructure-level findings, prioritizing by real risk * Partner with our Security Engineer and the broader Security & Reliability disciplines — you own security in the pipeline and collaborate on the rest, rather than duplicating that function * Participate in and improve the on-call rotation; build the runbooks and automation that make on-call sustainable * Coach team members and engineers across the org on reliability patterns and operational best practices QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: * 5+ years in site reliability, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with clear senior-level ownership of production systems * Strong programming skills for automation and tooling (Go, Python, Typescript or similar) — you have experience building software or custom tooling, not just scripts * Deep, hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS is a plus), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is a plus) * Proven track record leading incident response and building SLO-driven reliability practices. * Working fluency with observability tooling (Datadog is a plus) * Practical experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines — SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, dependency scanning, or policy-as-code * Strong understanding of cloud security fundamentals (identity/IAM, least-privilege patterns, policy/guardrails, secrets management) * The judgment and communication skills to raise a security or reliability finding with a senior engineer and land it as a shared problem to solve, not a fight to win * Experience with policy-as-code frameworks (especially Kyverno, but tools like OPA/Rego or Conftest are also relevant) enforced at admission time is a plus * Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA) is a plus * Chaos engineering or game-day experience is a plus * Experience supporting B2C/mobile backend environments with high traffic, rapid iteration, and strong reliability needs is a plus Values you’ll model * Be Kind and Care — build with empathy; assume positive intent; support teammates and members. * Live Good Health — champion healthy habits and balance in how we work and what we ship. * Be Data-Inspired — ground decisions in research and data; measure what matters. * Champion Change — lean into ambiguity; iterate, learn, and improve continuously. * Leave it Better than You Found It — raise quality, clarify systems, and document as you go. * Make It Happen — bias to action; deliver impact with craft and accountability. The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $120,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
