I rollen ingår dokumentframtagning så som testspecifikationer, testrapporter och instruktioner, baserade på den kravbild som finns för systemet. Kopplat till detta ingår det även att konfigurera våra egna och kundens system för test eller operativt bruk. Du deltar också i projektrelaterade möten för att där kunna framföra tekniska aspekter som behöver tas hänsyn till. Man hjälper projekt att förstå vilka resurser som finns och vad som behöver tas fram. Resor till kund förekommer regelbundet under året med god planering innan resan skall genomföras. Testerna genomförs i labbet innan dem därefter testas ute i kundmiljö. Därtill kommer felsökning som kan ske genom att granska eller förstå kod, felsöka signaler, använda oscilloskop samt kontrollera kablage mellan olika systemelement. As a PhD student at Chalmers, you will conduct cutting-edge research in thermal design, advanced semiconductor technologies, and innovative packaging solutions for high-performance RF and mmWave systems. About us  At the Microwave Electronics Laboratory, we focus on application driven research on high-speed electronic components, circuits and systems for future communication and remote sensing applications. The research spans frequencies from below 1 GHz to 500 GHz. Our main research areas are within wireless high speed digital communication, sensors such as radar systems and radiometers, and microwave heating. We demonstrate innovative microwave components and circuits in our own fabrication lab, the Nanofabrication Laboratory at MC2, or at external cooperation partners/foundries. We characterize our components and circuits in our measurement laboratory.     About the research project   Future wireless communication, radar, and sensing systems require electronics that deliver higher power, greater energy efficiency, and increased integration. This project focuses on developing advanced thermal packaging solutions for GaN-based RF and mmWave electronics, where heat management is critical for performance and reliability. The research combines thermal characterization, modeling, microwave design, and additive manufacturing to create innovative packaging concepts that integrate both thermal and electromagnetic functions in compact, high-performance systems. What you'll do You will support the integration and commissioning of services and infrastructure for the CMS Tracker construction at CERN, with a focus on the preparation and validation of services, as well as the reception testing of components and detector assemblies. The role also includes the setup and operation of test electronics for the commissioning of detector services and the functional testing of detector components and assemblies. Your responsibilities Prepare and support the installation and commissioning of services and infrastructure for large detector assemblies (e.g. cables, racks and test setups). Perform reception testing of detector substructures and components, including power distribution hardware delivered to CERN. Dina arbetsuppgifter Vi efterlyser dig som har god erfarenhet av manuell eller robotsvetsning, det mest optimala vore om du kunde båda. Fördel om du har svetsarprövning enligt SS EN 9606–1 samt utbildning i SS EN 5817 eller har du motsvarande erfarenheter och då finns möjligheten för dig att göra svetsarprov på plats hos oss. Men även för att tjänsten ska passa just dig behöver du ha bra koll på ritningsläsning och mätteknik. Arbetet sker i grupp så absolut en fördel om du trivs i just det. Men framförallt är det en väldigt hög prioritet att du är kvalitetsmedveten och noggrann. Din bakgrund/Dina egenskaper Tidigare arbetslivserfarenhet inom svetsning, särskilt i liknande branscher tillverkningsindustri, visar på praktisk kunskap. Teknisk ritningsförståelse: Förmåga att läsa och förstå tekniska ritningar och specifikationer. Kvalitetskontroll: Kännedom om kvalitetsstandarder och testmetoder för svetsar kan vara en stark merit.
