Let’s go!   Your Mission: As a Senior Associate, AFC Compliance Advisory & Oversight at Bitpanda, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Bitpanda's institutional and enterprise business. Working at the intersection of law, regulation, product innovation and commercial strategy, you will advise on complex legal and regulatory matters relating to our B2B, B2B2B and B2B2C partnerships across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner closely with Business Development, Compliance, Product, Risk and senior stakeholders to structure new partnerships, assess legal and regulatory risks, support enterprise due diligence processes, negotiate commercial agreements, and help bring innovative products to market. This is a unique opportunity to shape the legal framework behind one of Europe's leading digital asset platforms while working with banks, financial institutions, fintechs and other strategic partners. What you’ll do: * Act as a AFC advisor to Bitpanda Enterprise, providing practical legal and regulatory advice across strategic B2B, B2B2B and B2B2C partnerships with banks, financial institutions, fintechs and other enterprise clients. * Represent Bitpanda in legal and regulatory discussions with prospective and existing partners, supporting enterprise due diligence processes, responding to legal and compliance questionnaires, addressing regulatory queries, and helping build trusted, long-term business relationships. * Support the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including partnership, technology, API, outsourcing, licensing, confidentiality and other contractual arrangements, while balancing AFC risks with commercial objectives. * Support the development and launch of new products and services by assessing legal and regulatory implications and working closely with Product, Compliance, Risk and Engineering teams to enable compliant and scalable solutions. * Monitor and interpret developments in financial services and digital asset regulation, translating legal requirements into practical guidance, identifying AFC risks and contributing to governance frameworks that support the continued growth of Bitpanda Enterprise. Who you are: * Educational Background: A university degree in Law is highly desirable. Alternatively, you have relevant professional experience reviewing, drafting and providing legal feedback on commercial agreements, partnership agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), confidentiality agreements and other legal documentation within a regulated environment. Having familiarity with European financial services regulation, including areas such as MiCAR, MiFID, PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT or outsourcing requirements, is a strong advantage. * Professional Experience: You have experience supporting regulated financial services, fintech, banking, payments, digital assets or other regulated industries, either in a  compliance, legal, regulatory or commercial advisory capacity. Experience working with enterprise customers, financial institutions or strategic partners is highly desirable. * Commercial Mindset: You are able to balance legal and regulatory considerations with business objectives, providing practical, solution-oriented advice that supports product development, commercial partnerships and business growth. You can communicate complex legal and regulatory concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences and are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. * Language Proficiency: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Professional proficiency in German is required. As an AML Oversight Associate, you will help build and maintain a rigorous Oversight, Quality Control and Assurance programme, in fulfilment of our regulatory compliance, internal/external oversight, critical outsourcing, and audit requirements.   What you'll do * Oversight of the Transaction Monitoring and the screening programme, and completion of alert checking; * Undertaking ECDD, OCDD, PEPs, Sanctions and adverse media reviews when directed by MLRO/DMLRO; * Creating and maintaining MI data in relation to the oversight programme; * Stay informed on any changes to AML/CTF laws, regulations, and best practices; * Assist with FIU SAR reporting, as and when required; * Assist in updating Trading 212’s AML Program and relevant procedures; * Assist drafting periodic compliance reporting for Senior Management, the Risk & Compliance Committee and the Board as required.   What you need to have * You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. * Interest in Oversight, QC/QA, AFC, AML, Fraud, or related areas within fintech; prior experience is a plus. * Analytical Skills: Comfortable with data-driven decision-making and problem-solving, delivering comparable and useful MI to internal and external stakeholders. * Stakeholder management: Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, with competing priorities, to ensure alignment of the German oversight programme with the Group. * Mindset: Proactive, curious, and structured, with a strong sense of integrity and ownership. * Communication: Fluent in English and German; Other European languages are a plus. * Tools: Experience with quantitative analysis, familiarity with office software such as Excel/Google Sheets.
