Your mission: You own the day-to-day agronomic knowledge needs across Klim’s teams and farmer-facing work. You contribute to the development of digital agronomist products by translating agronomic knowledge, farmer feedback, and research on regenerative arable farming in temperate climates into practical solutions for internal teams and farmers. Your responsibilities: 1. Internal agronomic support & content quality * Provide practical agronomic expertise to Product, Farmer Success, Sales, Data, Remote Sensing, and Marketing teams. * Advise on customer- and farmer-specific agronomic questions and use cases. * Review and maintain farmer-facing content, recommendations, guidance, and claims for agronomic accuracy and clarity. * Translate agronomic concepts into clear and actionable communication for non-agronomists. 2. Research, knowledge management & data * Conduct research, literature reviews, knowledge management, and maintenance of agronomic datasets. * Analyze and contextualize farmer feedback to inform product development and agronomic priorities. * Evaluate agronomic data sources, including remote-sensing outputs, from a practical farming perspective. 3. Product validation & expansion * Validate digital agronomy features through farmer feedback, test cases, and quality checks. * Collect and maintain agronomic data used in digital products. * Review English and German agronomic copy and translations. * Contribute to expansion into new markets by researching farming systems, practices, and conditions across geographies and climate zones. Your profile: Agronomic experience & knowledge * You have a strong academic foundation in agricultural sciences, agronomy, regenerative agriculture, farm management, or a related field. * You have a good understanding of arable farming systems in temperate climates and a strong interest in regenerative agriculture. * You have gained practical farming exposure through farm internships, fieldwork, advisory roles, farm work, or a farming background. * You have an intermediate understanding of regenerative agriculture and are motivated to deepen your expertise. Skills & mindset * You are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working across disciplines and topics outside your core expertise. * You can explain agronomic concepts clearly to non-agronomists. * You have a strong interest in digital agriculture and the intersection of agronomy, data, and technology. * You are comfortable with research, documentation, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. * You are comfortable using AI tools to increase efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Languages * You are fluent in English; German is a strong advantage. Your mission: You are responsible for translating regenerative agricultural expertise and science in arable farming systems in temperate climates into actionable, scalable digital products for farmers on Klim's platform. You ensure that Klim’s digital products are agronomically sound, farmer-relevant, commercially viable and delivered with high quality. Your responsibilities: * Own the agronomic logic behind farmer-facing recommendation and assessment engines. * Translate agronomic principles into digital products and clear product and engineering specifications. * Own and evolve digital agronomy products, including digital decision-support and assessment tools for farmers * Expand Klim’s capabilities for regenerative practices in temperate arable systems, including method prioritization, trade-off assessment, and scientific evidence integration. * Own and review agronomic datasets, literature, and assumptions used in digital products. * Contribute to roadmap and prioritization decisions based on farmer value, willingness to pay, partner value, technical feasibility, and strategic relevance. * Validate agronomic models, algorithms, and prototypes by challenging assumptions, stress-testing outputs against field reality, and approving agronomic soundness before release. * Support farmer validation through interviews, feedback analysis, test cases, and field-reality checks. * Monitor competitors and support expansion into new markets, geographies, and climate zones. * Serve as the internal expert on regenerative arable farming, supporting Product, Sales, Farmer Success, Marketing, Data, and Remote Sensing teams. * Review agronomic content, farmer-facing explanations, and English/German copy for accuracy and credibility. Depending on your experience, profile, skills and Klim’s team setup, this role may also include an Agronomy Team Lead scope with responsibility for managing the agronomy team. * Manage the agronomy team, translating strategic projects into execution * Review team outputs and ensure high standards of agronomic quality, scientific robustness and farmer relevance. Your profile: Agronomic Experience * You have 5+ years of experience in agronomy, regenerative agriculture, farm advisory, agricultural science, or a related field. * You have strong practical experience working with arable farms through farm management, agronomic advisory, or farmer-facing research. * You have a solid academic background in agronomy, agricultural sciences, or a related discipline. * You have a deep understanding of regenerative arable farming in temperate climates, including soil health, nutrient management, crop rotations, cover crops, tillage, and reduced-input systems. Skills * You can translate agronomic expertise into scalable digital products and critically assess models, algorithms, and recommendations. * You exercise strong judgement and can develop solutions in ambiguous or novel situations. * You are pragmatic, innovative, and motivated to create scalable value for farmers. * You are an effective communicator and collaborator across functions. * You have an interest in mentoring or team leadership (a plus, not a requirement). * You are comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Your focus is the financial, operational and market reality of arable farms in temperate climates, ensuring that recommendations, scenarios and models reflect how farmers actually think about profitability, risk, cash flow and investment decisions. Your responsibilities: 1. Farm economics models & benchmarks * Develop and maintain farm-economic models, metrics, and benchmarks, including production costs, profitability, ROI, and revenue streams. * Build benchmarking frameworks across farm types, regions, production systems, and transition stages. * Analyze farm accounting and operational data to develop economic assumptions, benchmarks, farm typologies, and segmentation. * Assess market opportunities and explore tools that help farmers make informed crop and marketing decisions. 2. Transition economics & farmer decision-making * Analyze the economic impact of regenerative practices on profitability, costs, revenues, cash flow, and risk. * Translate agronomic interventions, such as cover crops, tillage changes, fertilizer optimization, and crop rotations, into farm-level economic outcomes. * Model farmer decision-making, including investment planning, financing, equipment needs, and risk management. * Quantify and communicate the business case for regenerative agriculture for both farmers and food companies. 3. Economic product development * Integrate economic models with biophysical outputs such as yield effects, fertilizer reductions, soil carbon, and resilience indicators. * Contribute to farmer-facing economic decision support & planning tools * Define economic requirements, formulas, assumptions, and logic for product features. * Validate, document, and improve economic models to ensure they are accurate, transparent, and useful for farmers. * Collaborate closely with Product, Agronomy, Engineering, Commercial, and Farmer-facing teams. Your profile: Experience & domain knowledge * You have a strong background in agricultural economics, agricultural markets, farm management, agribusiness, farm consultancy, agricultural banking, policy, or a related field. * You have a strong understanding of the economics of arable farming systems in temperate climates. * You have practical exposure to farming through farm management, consultancy, agricultural finance, advisory work, or a farming background. * You understand how farmers balance agronomic, operational, and economic considerations when making decisions. * Experience with regenerative agriculture is a plus, but not required if you can objectively assess its economic implications. Analytical & technical skills * You are comfortable building quantitative models, working with farm financial data, and deriving meaningful insights from complex real-world datasets. * You can connect economic models with agronomic, biophysical, commercial, and farmer realities. * You are analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with quantitative and conceptual problems. * You are comfortable with research, modelling, and other desk-based analytical work. * You communicate complex findings clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.
