YOUR CHALLENGE: Taxfix makes tax filing simple, fast, and accessible for millions of users across Europe. Behind the product sits a data platform that powers everything from business analytics and regulatory reporting to ML and AI-driven product features. We’re growing and the platform needs to grow with us. We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the infrastructure and pipelines that make data at Taxfix reliable, compliant, and ready for AI. You will own the systems that move data from operational databases, APIs, and SaaS tools into our analytical environment and make sure that data is correct, timely, and safe to use. Your work will directly enable ML and AI-powered product experiences, self-serve analytics, and regulatory reporting. YOUR TEAM: The Data Platform team is part of the Data Organization, which enables everyone at Taxfix to make data-driven decisions, drive business growth, and power ML and automation in our products. Within our group we have product analysts, analytics engineers, machine learning engineers, and data engineers working across the whole company. The platform team serves many consumers analytics, ML, product, and compliance so you can expect to join cross-functional project teams regularly, working alongside backend and frontend engineers, analysts, ML engineers, product and design. Team members are all data engineers but from different backgrounds. We rely on each other to deliver our best, grow together, share knowledge openly, and invest in personal development through mentoring and innovation. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECISIONS: * Contribute to and operate cloud platform infrastructure - manage GCP resources (GCS, Dataflow, Dataproc, k8s, Pub/Sub…), provision and maintain environments with Terraform and help ensure the platform is reliable, predictable, cost-efficient and scalable * Build and maintain ingestion pipelines that capture changes from application databases, APIs, SaaS and deliver clean, analytics-ready tables to our cloud data warehouse * Operate and improve our orchestration layer - scheduling, retries, SLA tracking, and observability for data pipelines * Design data models with proper layering that handle real-world data complexity: out-of-order events, schema evolution, late arrivals, and backfills * Own data quality monitoring - build validation, monitoring, and alerting that catches problems before downstream consumers do * Implement privacy and compliance controls - anonymization, pseudonymization, access policies, and deletion propagation (GDPR right-to-be-forgotten) across raw and derived layers * Prepare data for ML and AI use cases - build governed, privacy-safe datasets and feature pipelines that ML engineers and data scientists can use for model training, evaluation, and production inference * Use AI effectively in engineering workflows - leverage AI-assisted development where it improves delivery quality and speed, and share best practices with the team * Build scalable AI platform capabilities - develop reusable, production-grade patterns for AI workloads (governed data access, privacy-safe telemetry, evaluation datasets, and cost/quality monitoring) that multiple teams can adopt YOUR PROFILE: * 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role (backend engineer working on data-intensive systems counts) * Strong Python skills for data pipeline development - you write production code, not just scripts * Strong SQL skills - window functions, CTEs, query optimization are second nature * Experience with event-driven data pipelines - CQRS, event ordering, idempotency, and the difference between initial load and incremental processing * Expert with Airflow - you’ve built DAGs with proper task dependencies, retries, and monitoring * Strong Snowflake or other modern data warehouse knowledge - resource management (compute/warehouse sizing, concurrency), security & governance (roles/RBAC, column/row-level masking), columnar storage & partitioning/clustering concepts, and query performance & cost optimization in production * Cloud platform experience - you’ve worked with GCP (GCS, Dataflow, Dataproc etc) or equivalent AWS/Azure services and understand how to manage cloud resources at scale * Infrastructure-as-code - experience with Terraform, Helm, or similar tools for provisioning and managing cloud environments * K8S and Docker containerization - you package and deploy your own work * Data quality mindset - you profile data, validate assumptions, build checks, and don’t trust that “the data looked clean” * Data for AI readiness - you have experience preparing data for ML and AI use cases with appropriate governance, lineage, and privacy controls * Awareness of data privacy requirements - you can identify PII, understand GDPR, and know how to implement anonymization and deletion across multiple data layers * AI-enabled engineering practices - you actively use AI assistants and code generation tools to accelerate development and deliver, and you share effective practices with the team WHY TAXFIX? * A chance to do meaningful, people-centric work with an international team of passionate professionals. * Holistic well-being with free mental health coaching sessions and yoga. * A monthly allowance to spend on an extensive range of services that you can use and roll over as flexibly as you like. * Employee stock options for all employees because everyone deserves to benefit from the success they help to create. * 30 annual vacation days and flexible working hours. * Work from abroad for up to six weeks every year. WHO WE ARE Foundation models transformed text and images. Structured data - the largest and most consequential data format in the world - stayed untouched. Tables run every clinical trial, every financial model, every scientific experiment, every business decision, and no one had built a foundation model that truly understood them. Until now. What LLMs did for language, we're doing for tables. The next modality shift in AI is happening, and we're hiring the team that makes it. Momentum. We pioneered tabular foundation models and are now the world-leading organization in structured-data ML. Our TabPFN v2 model was published as a Nature cover story and set a new state of the art for tabular machine learning. Since release we've scaled model capabilities 20x+, passed 3.5M+ downloads and 7,500+ GitHub stars, and are seeing accelerating adoption across research and industry - from detecting lung disease with Oxford Cancer Analytics to preventing train failures with Hitachi to improving clinical-trial decisions with BostonGene. The hardest work is ahead. We're scaling tabular foundation models to millions of rows, thousands of features, real-time inference, and entirely new data modalities, while building the infrastructure to run them in production across some of the most demanding industries on earth. These are open problems no one else is working on at this level. Our team. ABOUT THE ROLE We are hiring our first Account Executive to drive commercial adoption of our foundation models for structured data. This is a founding role — you'll shape how we sell, who we sell to, and what good looks like for every AE who joins after you. You'll own the full sales cycle across enterprise and mid-market accounts, working directly with the commercial founder and a team of ex-DeepMind, Palantir, Jane Street, Goldman Sachs and Amazon researchers and operators. This role combines a strong outbound focus with the potential for end-to-end deal ownership. You'll spend most of your time on outreach and discovery with technical buyers (data scientists, ML engineers, technical leaders), while also navigating buying committees, developing proposals, and closing deals. You'll help create the materials and messaging that make our outbound motion successful while driving revenue outcomes. We're looking for someone who loves the craft of outbound and wants to build the engine, not just close deals. YOUR CHALLENGE: Join our Marketing Analytics team as a Marketing Scientist, where your mission is to build the measurement and modeling capability that decides how we grow. You will own how Taxfix measures marketing causally and turn that into production models that directly shape CLV, CAC, and revenue. Your output is durable measurement infrastructure and models that the Growth Marketing, CRM, and MarTech teams operate every day to scale efficiently in competitive markets. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECISIONS: * Own and advance our marketing measurement stack (attribution, MMM, incrementality testing, brand tracking) and set the causal-inference standard the marketing organisation uses to make budget, channel-mix, and retention decisions. * Build production-grade models (CLV, demand forecasting, propensity) that feed live decisions such as budget allocation and channel mix, not one-off analyses. * Own the model lifecycle together with Analytics Engineering: reproducible pipelines, validation, monitoring, and retraining, so models stay trustworthy once they are in production. * Design and run experiments as a discipline (geo tests, holdouts, incrementality) and act as the arbiter when measurement approaches disagree. * Apply advanced statistical and machine-learning methods (regression, Bayesian inference, causal inference, forecasting) to turn ambiguous marketing questions into clear decisions that move CLV and reduce CAC. * Communicate results persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of the recommendation across Marketing. * Build and bring AI-native analytics workflows (agentic data exploration, LLM-assisted causal analysis) into the team's everyday practice. YOUR PROFILE: * 3+ years in marketing science or marketing analytics with hands-on modeling, ideally in B2C acquisition and retention. * Deep with attribution, MMM, incrementality testing, causal inference, and experimentation design across digital paid channels (search, social, programmatic) and CRM. Exposure to offline and brand measurement (TV, CTV, podcast) is beneficial. * Strong statistical and machine-learning foundation (regression, Bayesian methods, classification, clustering, forecasting) applied to marketing use cases such as CLV prediction, demand forecasting, and pricing-elasticity models. * Has taken models to production: reproducible pipelines, validation, and monitoring, and is comfortable partnering with Analytics Engineering on deployment. Advanced SQL and Python, with dbt for data modeling. Comfortable communicating results in BI tools such as Looker. * Strong ability to connect analysis to CAC, CLV, and retention outcomes and guide acquisition and retention strategy. * Proactive and outcome-driven, comfortable owning work end to end from data pipeline to business recommendation that drives measurable impact. * Practical experience applying AI-driven solutions such as prototyping with LLMs (e.g. Claude Code, Gemini CLI), automating workflows (e.g. LangChain, n8n), and using AI-powered IDEs (e.g. Cursor) to accelerate analysis.
