Total Compensation Range: €45,000 – €60,000 THE POSITION If you're excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and want to take the next step in your Finance career, this role is for you. We’re looking for a driven and analytical (Junior) Finance Manager (FP&A) to join our Finance team in Berlin. In this role, you’ll take ownership of core financial planning and analysis activities, including monthly management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate data into insights that shape strategic decisions. Your mission: You’ll play a key role in scaling and professionalizing our Finance function. This includes continuously improving our FP&A processes, increasing automation across reporting and forecasting workflows, and leveraging modern tools including AI-driven solutions to enhance data quality, speed, and decision-making. You’ll gain broad exposure to all of Hive’s markets, service offerings, and financial dynamics, developing a strong understanding of how each contributes to our overall business model and long-term growth. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Own and continuously improve monthly management reporting, including KPIs, variance analyses, and business performance insights * Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning, improving accuracy and transparency * Build and maintain financial models to support strategic, investment, and operational decisions * Automate and scale FP&A processes, including improving data structures, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to enable accurate, data-driven decision-making * Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate operational data into actionable financial insights YOUR PROFILE We know—you might not tick every single box. As our first dedicated finance hire, you will work with the founders to establish process and become the person leadership trusts * Build and own our core company financial model: revenue, costs, cash, and P&L, with annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario and sensitivity analysis leadership can act on. * Stand up our operational and SaaS metrics layer: ARR, usage, unit economics, gross margin, burn, runway, and retention, so we always know where the business stands. * Run spend, cash discipline, and light financial controlling: budget versus actuals, vendor and cost decisions, a live cash picture, simple controls and monitoring, and early flags when we drift off plan. * Turn financial data into decisions leadership trusts: regular reporting for our board, investors, and parent company, with the drivers explained and a clear recommendation attached. * Be the reliable finance point of contact between a fast-moving startup and SAP's group planning cadence. * Set up finance foundations that scale: the right tooling, clean data feeds, automation of the repetitive work, and good judgment about where AI helps in finance and where it does not. What we're looking for * You have built and owned a core company financial model end to end for an AI lab, Deep Tech. * You have built a finance or FP&A function from near-zero inside a small, early-stage, ambiguous company. You are comfortable building an auditable model from a short brief. * You have owned annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and budget-versus-actuals across a company and reporting directly to Founders * You are fluent in driver-based FP&A and comfortable building an auditable model from a messy brief. * You understand the accounting close well enough to oversee it, and you know when speed beats rigour on a small team. * You have good judgment about using AI and automation in finance: where they save real time, and where a human check has to stay. * Experience coordinating an external accounting partner and running light financial controls and monitoring. Nice to have * A track record of board, investor, or exec reporting * Experience building and tracking SaaS or consumption metrics from raw data. * Experience standing up finance tooling, automation, and processes from scratch. We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our Finance team in Berlin. You'll take ownership of the group's most complex accounting topics: with a strong focus on monthly reporting, group consolidation, year-end procedures and audit readiness across our multi-entity European structure, while keeping the bigger picture in view at all times. Your mission: You'll be the go-to expert and sparring partner for demanding accounting and reporting topics, helping us maintain the highest standards in financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all entities. With your structured mindset and hands-on approach, you'll own complex processes end-to-end and contribute to a Finance team that runs its processes smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will: * Take full ownership of the group consolidation process in Lucanet: eliminating intercompany differences, managing eliminations, and ensuring our consolidated financial data is consistent and audit-ready across all entities at all times. * Handle intercompany accounting end-to-end: including reconciliation and clear documentation of intercompany flows across the group's European entities. * Prepare and review complex accrual calculations, provisions and cost accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy. * Drive AP & AR clean-up projects, identifying aged items, mispostings, and open reonciling items, and working cross-functionally to resolve them. * Support transfer pricing, preparing transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with our external tax advisors. * Be the sparring partner for our external auditors, handling audit queries and coordinating documentation. * Support the monthly reporting cycle by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany positions: catching issues early and ensuring consistency across the group. * Contribute to the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
