Turbomachinery AIT Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and production ramp-up of our e-pumps for the
Huracan engine.
In your capacity as a Turbomachinery AIT Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will
engine integration

We are seeking a talented Turbopump Rotordynamics Engineer to join our Future Project division. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing turbopump components for high-thrust rocket engines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Making and documenting well-reasoned consequential decisions in turbomachinery design * Engage proactively with development engineers to assist in the conception, refinement, and validation of designs * Carrying out and reviewing different turbopump architectural trades * Performing various rotor dynamics analysis to inform subsequent cryogenic pump components' specifications * Performing cryogenic pump components design and procurement based on specifications and best practices * Supervision of external subcontractors and communication with suppliers * Analytical modeling of geometric and mechanical problems and implementing solutions in programs WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE FROM YOU * Master's Degree or higher (or NZ and AUS "Bachelor with honors") in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related and applicable technical discipline. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience * 3-5 years of proven experience working with any kind of fast rotating machinery * Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and mechanical design * Strong fundamentals of the problems of machine dynamics, in particular rotordynamics * Strong knowledge about bearings and rolling elements * Good knowledge of materials * Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and their respective constraints * Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software and drafting * Experience writing software/scripts in languages like Python * (Optional) Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes. We are seeking a talented Turbopump Principal Engineer to join our Future Project division. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the turbomachinery of our high thrust engine. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Managing and mentoring a team of engineers with diverse expertise, background and seniority (set objectives, perform reviews, support team members in their development...) * Ensuring the proper development of complex systems which are the turbomachinery of a high thrust liquid rocket engine (management of planning and resources, organization of reviews...) * Lead technical decisions for the development of the turbopumps and its surrounding infrastructures (test stands, manufacturing capabilities...) always having in mind the potential impacts on the engine. * In collaboration with the Business Team, participate in the preparation of proposals writing * Oversee tests to validate the performance and reliability of turbopump components * Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of turbopump components * Anticipating risks for the turbopumps development and proposing corresponding mitigation actions WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE FROM YOU * Master's Degree or higher (or NZ and AUS "Bachelor with honors") in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related and applicable technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years of related experience * Proven experience leading projects from the early design phases of space projects, through development test campaigns until hardware qualification * Strong understanding of liquid-propellant rocket and engines as systems * Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and mechanical design * Some understanding of problems of machine dynamics, such as rotordynamics * Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and their respective constraints * Proven experience in external suppliers handling * Fluent in English. A Snapshot of Your Day Do you want to help develop the next generation of gas turbines and contribute to a sustainable energy future? As an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer within Combustion, you will be a member of our team, designing and developing components for combustors, burners and fuel manifolds. You will work on advanced designs exposed to extreme temperatures and dynamic loads, where your expertise is essential to ensure robustness, lifetime, and high performance. You take full responsibility for your solution from design to installation by using tools such as the CAD tool NX and Teamcenter. How You Will Make an Impact Develop and optimize mechanical solutions for burners, combustors, and related components. Create concepts, 3D models, and drawings in CAD (NX) and document technical solutions. Choose material and production method for hot components. Participate in development projects from idea to finished product, including design reviews and technical analyses. Act as a technical contact for suppliers and our in-house workshop. Support order design, service, and procurement with technical expertise. Contribute to improving methods, processes, and standards within design. What you bring Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Experience and interest in mechanical design, preferably in high-temperature components or turbomachinery. A self-driven problem solver who enjoys collaborating in cross-functional teams and communicates effectively. Responsible, curious, structured, and eager to develop and learn, as well as share knowledge with others. Solid knowledge of 3D CAD (NX is a plus) and understanding of strength calculations. Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Swedish is an advantage. Meritorious Experience with gas turbines, welding, or additive manufacturing. Knowledge of SAP and PLM systems. About the team You will join our Combustion Design team within R&D in Finspång. We are a skilled, dedicated, supportive, and international team of 12–15 people working on developing burners and combustors for gas turbines, focusing on high efficiency, low emissions, and future fuels such as hydrogen.
