As a Hardware Technician, you will play a critical hands-on role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our robotics lab,
shop, and deployments. This is a highly practical, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys building, fixing, organizing, and
solving problems in a fast-paced hardware environment.
You will support everything from robot station assembly and fabrication to shipping, inventory, R&D support, and onsite
installations. No two days will look exactly the same, and success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, reliability,
and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Overview: As a Procurement Manager, you will own our supplier network, logistics, and material flow—ensuring we can scale efficiently while controlling cost and maintaining quality. This role blends strategic sourcing with hands-on execution across vendors, inventory, and North American logistics. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to align sourcing, product requirements, and deployment timelines. Your Responsibilities: * Vendor Management & Sourcing Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms. Source hardware components and engineering services aligned with product needs. Collaborate with vendors on specifications, quality, and performance. * Logistics & Operations Own inbound logistics to Boston and outbound shipments across North America. Optimize freight, warehousing, and delivery for cost and reliability. Manage shipping, documentation, and coordination with logistics partners. * Inventory & Shop Management Oversee inventory, including spare parts and replenishment. Maintain organized, efficient shop and storage operations. * Cost & BOM Management Manage BOMs and drive cost-down initiatives. Partner with engineering on sourcing decisions that balance cost and performance. * Cross-Functional Execution Work closely with engineering to understand drawings and technical requirements. Support product builds, deployments, and operational scaling. Qualifications: Education and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain—preferably in hardware or manufacturing. * Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier networks. * Strong background in North American logistics and shipping operations. * Experience with inventory management and BOMs. * Ability to read technical drawings and understand hardware systems. * Experience in a high growth startup invironment. OVERVIEW We're looking for a talented Hardware Lead to design innovative mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots, while providing technical leadership and hands-on guidance to our technician team. In this role, you'll create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication, set the technical direction for build and assembly work, collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with electrical and software systems, conduct mechanical simulations and performance testing, and source components and coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and procurement on fabrication, quality, and lead times. This is a technical leadership role rather than a formal management role. You'll be the go to expert technicians will turn to for guidance on their daily work. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES This role may require an extended assignment in the EU for onboarding and to support ongoing European operations. DESIGN AND TESTING: * Design mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots. * Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication. * Optimize designs for cost, efficiency, and manufacturability. * Conduct mechanical simulations and performance testing to validate designs. * Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with electrical and software systems. TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP: * Act as the technical point of contact for the technician team — translating designs into clear build instructions and answering hands-on questions during fabrication and assembly. * Guide technicians through prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting, without formal management responsibility (no performance reviews, hiring, or HR duties). * Review technicians' work for quality and design intent, and feed lessons learned from the shop floor back into your designs. * Set best practices and standards for build quality, tooling, and documentation on the shop floor. * Mentor technicians on mechanical design principles to help them grow their technical skills. * Source components and coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and procurement on fabrication, quality, and lead times. In this role, you'll act as the critical link between our development team and end-users, ensuring our robotic systems perform flawlessly in dynamic environments. You'll focus on adapting software and hardware for specific use cases, testing solutions in the field, and providing technical expertise to optimize system performance for complex tasks such as bin-picking and item manipulation. OPTIMIZATION: * Conduct onsite testing of robotic applications to validate performance and ensure reliability. * Continuously iterate on applications to meet evolving client needs and improve performance. * Provide technical support and hands-on training to clients and operators. * Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored solutions. * Document application workflows and create detailed user guides. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years of experience in robotics application development or integration. * Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in task-level software development. * Experience working with clients to implement and refine robotic solutions. * Proficiency with ROS 2 and simulation tools like Gazebo or RViz. * Hands-on experience with robotic arms, grippers, and vision systems. * Strong understanding of motion planning, perception systems, and kinematics. * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues in both lab and field settings. * Experience dockerizing applications and deploying containerized solutions. * Willingness and ability to travel domestic and internationally ≈25% * Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 3 months during your onboarding period.
