The core responsibilities of the Finance & Strategy community are: * Strategy & Planning: steer Alan's financial performance through business planning, financial and operational monitoring, investor relations and financing * Financial Reporting: is the steward of Alan's financial truth, ensuring that we produce accurate, timely financial data. It owns the reporting to all key stakeholders (board, leadership team, tax authorities, and regulators like the ACPR) and ensures that financial data is the single, uncontested source of truth for the company's performance. * Finance Data and Operations: Build and own the core finance data and tooling infrastructure (models, pipelines, and concepts that connect business operations to financial reality). This is where Finance meets product thinking * Functional poles with end-to-end ownership of their domain: Treasury, Procurement, M&A 🎯 YOUR MISSION As a member of the Strategy & planning team, your mission is to work closely with business teams and C-Level alaners to: * Build our business plan to exponentially increase Alan's enterprise value - profitable growth, margin expansion, cost efficiency. This includes deep-dives on go-to-market, on pricing & margin steering, on resource allocation, and on levers to increase our operating leverage. * Monitor Alan’s financial and operational performance to understand the value drivers, the opportunities, adjustments to bring to our plan. This implies a strong link with Finance production to build and automate monthly deep-dives * Steer performance through framing and implementing high-impact initiatives (e.g. procurement tool, pricing) and driving some punctual explorations (e.g. M&A, transformative partnerships, competitive intelligence) * Contribute to our investors relations and financing. This includes preparing Board meetings, fundraising, external communications. To support the above, you will build, improve, maintain best-in-class tools for financial planning and performance monitoring, hand-in-hand with the Data, Business and Finance teams. This includes BP, monitoring dashboards, selection and implementation of third party tools where relevant. You will also work closely with the Finance Operations teams, notably to produce and interpret our monthly financial performance, and on specific projects. ⚙️ QUALIFICATIONS ⚙️ Must have * >1y experience in Management consulting or Investment Banking or similar experience at a top tech scale up * Excellence in Financial modeling * Excellent fluency in both English and French. * Passion/strong interest for getting close to other teams, to understand the operational details of their work and support them * Business (Sales, Operations, Insurance) * Data (support in defining metrics to build & monitor) * Experience in working with C-Levels * Being hands on: with our distributed ownership culture, you will drive projects end-to-end, from framing to building/implementing the tools, and communication * Thrive in exciting, high-intensity environment Nice to have * Experience in Scale-up, SaaS, Insurance companies * SQL fluency * Accounting knowledge For this role we are looking to hire within the C0-C1 level range. 🌍 HOW WE WORK Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but the position remains Paris-based 🎯 IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES. About us Ankorstore exists to help independent brands and retailers thrive by making wholesale simpler, faster, and more profitable. We’re building the infrastructure that powers modern wholesale for brands — from getting discovered by the right retailers to ordering, logistics, and financing — so both sides can work together on better, more sustainable terms. We are looking for a Head of Finance to help scale Ankorstore as a category-defining European wholesale marketplace. As a key member of the Leadership Team (LT), you will own Ankorstore's full financial strategy and operations, partnering closely with the CEO and senior leadership to drive growth, financial discipline, and long-term value creation. You will lead three specialised teams, Payment & Fraud, FP&A, and Accounting, and will act as the principal financial architect for a company operating at the intersection of marketplace dynamics and B2B commerce. This role requires someone who combines strong financial leadership with operational intensity, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, multicultural environment.
