As a Senior Appian Consultant, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable Appian solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate manual processes and enable organisations to respond faster to changing business needs. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust enterprise applications. Role Responsibilities: You are a hands-on Appian specialist who enjoys solving complex business challenges through modern low-code technology. You combine strong technical capability with a consulting mindset and enjoy working closely with clients to understand problems before designing scalable solutions. You will lead the design, configuration and development of enterprise Appian applications, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned to Appian best practices. You'll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from technical design and sprint planning through to testing, deployment and production support. Working collaboratively with architects, product managers, business analysts and engineering teams, you'll help shape technical solutions that balance business requirements with implementation practicality. You'll be comfortable leading technical discussions with clients, providing guidance on solution design, integration approaches and delivery best practice while mentoring junior developers and helping elevate engineering quality across delivery teams. You'll actively contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement, estimation, sprint demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play an important role in maintaining delivery quality through technical reviews, unit testing, deployment management and performance optimisation. As technology continues to evolve, you'll remain curious and committed to continuous learning; embracing new Appian capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve delivery through automation, reusable components and emerging AI capabilities.   Must have Qualifications: * Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Appian solutions within complex client * Strong experience developing Appian applications using Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Sites, Reports and CDTs, with the ability to manage a single application through its full lifecycle. * Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modelling and enterprise data structures. * Comfortable working day-to-day within blended teams of client staff and third-party vendors, building good working relationships and adapting to the client's tools, processes and team culture. * Experience designing and implementing integrations using Connected Systems, Web APIs and external services, including REST and SOAP-based integration patterns, exercising sound judgement on when to use built-in objects, expressions, rules and plug-ins versus custom development. * Experience identifying performance bottlenecks, applying caching strategies, and using the Appian Health Check report and process monitoring tab to maintain production stability within an application. * Experience implementing Appian's security model and managing Appian deployments, release pipelines, and troubleshooting production issues within a single application or workstream. * Experience producing technical design documentation, unit testing and delivering high-quality solutions against defined acceptance criteria. * Strong understanding of Appian development best practices and enterprise application design principles. * Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery teams, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation and demonstrations. * Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with business stakeholders, Product Owners and technical teams. * A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and emerging Appian capabilities. This role will be pivotal in shaping large strategic projects within our Salesforce platform, collaborating across our commercial, marketing and customer service teams.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in up-to-date and current Salesforce Development, a proactive approach to operational excellence and a keen eye for system architecture, code quality, as well as process automation. This is a new position and is a key link with the business-wide Salesforce team, which is responsible for the entire company’s Salesforce ecosystem. What You’ll Be Doing: * Salesforce Development & Architecture * Design, develop, and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and other programmatic capabilities to meet the needs of the GTM Tech team and wider business needs * Develop and maintain complex Salesforce Flows and automation, ensuring adherence to best practices and optimal performance * Providing end-to-end project leadership: from initial solution design, establishing delivery timelines, and cross-functional problem solving to final delivery and senior-level reporting * Integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems using APIs and various integration patterns * Collaborate closely with the organization-wide Salesforce team, participating in code reviews and ensuring solutions align with the broader Salesforce ecosystem strategy * Design and implement Salesforce best practices, focusing on scalable architecture, data integrity, security, and performance optimisation * Support incident management and processes directly within Salesforce through custom development and troubleshooting * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather complex requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality, scalable Salesforce solutions * Own and managed the CI/CD processes used within the Salesforce team ensuring best practices and optimising ways of working to support a high velocity of work including but not limited to providing training to colleagues * Apply declarative change solutions to project delivery work * Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Salesforce customizations, integrations, and deployment processes * Maintain Trustpilot system auditing evidence and documentation * Provide mentoring & coaching to more junior Administrators for skills development * Create a collaborative and inclusive team environment to encourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning Who You Are: Technical Skills * Minimum: Advanced Administrator or Platform Developer I certifications - Platform Developer II is highly valued * 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer, specifically with Salesforce Sales Cloud (although experience of other clouds is also desirable), demonstrating a proven track record of designing, developing and deploying complex programmatic solutions * Extensive experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience development (Aura Components and Lightning Web Components) * Experience with Agentforce is a strong plus * Experience in highly distributed systems with other Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architecture Designer) is a strong plus * Demonstrated expert proficiency in Salesforce programmatic functionalities, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and platform events * Strong understanding and experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and integration patterns. * Deep understanding of Salesforce security models (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles) and their programmatic implications * Deep proficiency in using developer tools like VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Git for version control, and CI/CD pipelines Collaboration * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, conduct technical discussions, and mentor team members.
