ALTEN is now looking for CAE Engineers for assignments towards one of our clients within the automotive industry within passive safety and durability. In these roles, you will work with advanced simulations and analyses, contributing to the development of future vehicle systems and ensuring high standards of quality, performance, durability, and safety.
About the role
As a CAE Engineer, you will work with virtual simulations and analysis within areas such as durability, fatigue, and crash performance. Depending on your background and experience, your focus may be within safety analysis, durability simulations, or a combination of both.
You will be involved throughout the development process, from model creation and simulation setup to analysis, evaluation, and technical recommendations. The role includes close collaboration with engineers and stakeholders across multiple disciplines, supporting product development through data-driven insights and simulation expertise.
Main responsibilities
Create, develop, and refine CAE simulation models
Perform simulations and analyses of components and systems
Evaluate and interpret simulation results to support engineering decisions
Work with model preparation, meshing, and solver setup
Support the development of technical solutions and design improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development process
Contribute to the development of methods, tools, and ways of working
Support quality, performance, durability, and safety targets through simulation-driven development
Your profile
You are a structured and analytical engineer with a strong interest in simulation and virtual product development. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working closely with colleagues across different engineering disciplines.
M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience working within the automotive industry
Experience in CAE simulations and analysis
Experience with LS-Dyna, ANSA and ANSYS (Classic/APDL)
Experience working with simulation models, including meshing and analysis
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Experience within durability simulations and fatigue analysis
Experience within crash and safety analysis
Experience with Python or MATLAB scripting
Familiarity with TeamCenter, VisMockup, or CATIA
Experience with Linux environments
