STEP INTO THE ROLE
As a Tactical Purchaser at MilDef, you will contribute to securing competitive sourcing solutions, strong supplier partnerships,
and long-term supply continuity. In a rapidly growing defence industry shaped by increased rearmament and operational demands, you
will play a key role in driving sourcing activities, negotiations, and supplier performance that support both business growth and
operational resilience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute sourcing projects within mechanics and/or cable category in line with category strategies.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate price agreements and optimize total cost of ownership.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and provide data-driven insights.
Analyze market trends, benchmarking data, and purchasing KPIs.
Support product development and production projects with sourcing expertise and risk mitigation.
Drive continuous improvements in purchasing practices, digital tools, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or sourcing of mechanics and/or cables, including supplier negotiations, risk analysis,
and strong business mindset
Experience performing supplier evaluations, benchmarking, and data analysis in a manufacturing environment
Strong skills in cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), and spend analysis
- Technical understanding including interpretation of technical drawings and specifications, holding a Bachelor’s degree in
Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Preferably experience with procurement digitalization, cost modeling, Lean Six Sigma, or category management principles.
Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
